Honestly, Katie is so good in this type of character, the one who's been betrayed and becomes a villain because of it, just like when she played Morgana in Merlin. She's such a great actress I love her so much.
Omg I was so happy to see her in this role, I felt like everyone expected Lena to turn evil just like Morgana did but against all odds and in the face of all that pain and betrayal she was always inherently good! And I LOVED how she turned to magic at the end, such a giant nod to Morgana if she didn’t turn evil.
I think she was never evil… the mind control thing was all about a misguided attempt to help people and bring about actual world peace. Obviously taking away peoples’ free will is never a good thing but it came from a place of wanting to make real change and help end war and abuse and betrayals and everything that makes humanity so terrible.

Lena never fully abandoned Kara, she wanted to, but couldn't. The moment she realized Lex was working against Kara she ran to her apartment, threw herself at Kara's mercy, and begged to help her. Did she do all of this for the greater good? No. She did it because in that moment Kara's safety mattered more to her than anger, revenge, or ego. The show made it clear that every time Kara was in danger Lena was willing to put everything aside to protect her. When push came to shove she cried as she chose not to send the email to Andrea that would have exposed Kara, this kept Kara safe. She had the chance to escape with Myriad while Kara was fighting in the fortress, she risked her own goals to help protect Kara, once shaikh choosing Kara's safety over her own. She had a panic attack when the Kryptonite cannons almost shot Kara, once again Kara's safety came first. She cried and almost broke when she saw the pain she caused by using Kryptonite on Kara in the fortress. It's clear, Lena would never abandon Kara, she was literally incapable of it. "Protecting people is what I do, you should know this by now"-Kara Danvers to Lena Luthor "Protecting you is what I do, you will know this from now on"-Lena Luthor to Kara Danvers The writers were never able to make Supercorp Canon, though they clearly wanted to. So instead they used double meanings in everything. One of those hints they sent was Andrea Rojas. They made sure we saw Lena had feelings like she did for Kara before. You can't tell me the Andrea thing was am accident by the writers. They used parallels in that entire relationship right as Supercorp was at its largest in popularity. This was to tell us Lena had deep feelings for the same sex before. So as a Behavioral Health Professional I have a breakdown that I think Supercorp fans will appreciate. Lena broke the way she did because the things she was hiding were brought to the surface and not just her denial of who Supergirl was. I'm not saying the show was implying Lena realized she was gay, but they were implying Lena cared for Kara in a way that went beyond friendship. Lena's pain was that she thought Kara didn't care as much as she did. Then Kara did her own speech and Lena realized that Kara was in as much denial as she had been. Season 6 is kind of proof of my theory. Season 6 was primarily Lena helping Kara except herself for who she is. Now this can be taken multiple ways and that was intentionally done by writers who weren't aloud to make them blatantly Canon, so instead they used double meaning on almost everything in season 6. Lena knew before Kara how she felt, that was clear by how different Lena became after she realized how she felt. The rest of the time was her patiently helping Kara come to terms with her own feelings and you can see Kara slowly except these things. Denial can be very very powerful. But if you look, Lena had slowly taken Alex's place in Kara's life and even Alex herself noticed this. You can't tell me Alex would feel okay in letting just a friend take her role in Kara's life. No she felt safe in leaving Kara with Lena cause she saw the connection, the writers made sure we knew Alex knew. All of this was intentionally made apparent to us that Lena had become the most important person in Kara's life and that last scene was Lena telling Kara she excepted herself and all that she is and that if Kara did the same, she would be there for her. Kara taking off the glasses while staring at Lena was a symbol from the writers of Kara excepting herself and an expression of what mattered to her, Lena Luthor.

I still think their reconciliation at least started out pragmatically. I mean, if Project Nondecere had succeeded the way Lena wanted it to and Lex had stayed quiet about his true intentions, Lena would have never gone back to being Kara's friend and would have continued to hate her forever. The events of season 6 would have played out very differently without Lena on the team. Remove one consequence she witnessed and her entire moment of realization could have been avoided
im not going to lie, but i sobbed. yes. SOBBED. why? well because supercorp has been my home for 5 years, and seeing them grow as a whole was everything to me.kara and lena may have not been endgame on cw networks, bur they will always be endgame in my heart. because nothing, and i tell you NOTHING, will ever compare to this incredible ship. watching their story made me realize they were always there for each other even when they fought in s5. thank you for giving us such a great story

I love Supercorp so much. They match eachother so much. I just can't imagine anyone else to be Kara's soulmate other than Lena anymore in any universe, let it be comic, animation, movie or different any version. I wasn't even into this show and yet everytime i saw these two characters interact on screen. It was clear she shouldn't have even bother dating other people let alone what sex they were. Clear chemistry that make random viewers believe theres a love story are some of the best writings and sometimes they are accidents not meant to happen. But when you see the writing you take it there.

A beautiful ship that feels so underrated. Lena and Kara/Supergirl belong to each other. They are actual soulmates. The writers weren’t able to do what we the SuperCorp fans wanted. To see Kara/Supergirl and Lena together as a ship. Still I love SuperCorp.
Reasons why Supercorp and Clexa have, I believe, the most fanfics written for them (in AO3 at least) is bc they have so much chemistry and potential and yet they aren’t endgame. When we are given great wlw representation there’s no need to write fanfics bc the canon material is satisfactory. But with supercorp and clexa, the material was THERE and had potential but what we got isn’t satisfactory so we go and write fanfics that satisfy us. Sigh. Thankful to all the fanfic writters, big middle finger to the cowards that can’t let us have canon happy couples.
Kara telling Lena at the Pulitzer Prize party saved everything. Lena was not thinking at all about Kara at that time, only her own pain. She can say that she didn't out her as Supergirl because she wanted to use her, but the tears in her eyes as she decided not to do it say otherwise. She was still angry, but she remembered that she cared about Kara even then. She always made sure Kara was not in danger. She did protect her identity even them, chose to get caught with Myriad instead of leaving during the fight with Rama Khan so that she could help Supergirl. She still cared even though she couldn't admit it

Nobody is as perfect as Kara's romantic partner in the show other than Lena. Their interactions and what they went through together is makes them perfect for each other. No relationship is easy and the trials and tribulations they went through would only make them together. I started watching Supergirl because i stumbled upon a video of their scenes together. The mere tension between them and the clois parallels... It doesn't matter that they're not cannon in the show, for me they finally confessed their feelings for each other after the time the show ended.
It seems like the writers tried to get the best of both worlds. Put them in a relationship in season 6, but only so the gays noticed. Obviously Lena and Kara were dating in the last season. You see it in the locations of their scenes and the way the speak to each other. Small example is Kara pouring and saving a drink for Lena. Big example is that last scene together talking about living their authentic selves. But they didn't want backlash so they didn't make it obvious. And we don't accept those scraps anymore.
Kara: "every relationship" Lena: *sexy eyes* "maybe we did have a bit of a bumpy road" that moment was for us. as for the rest of it, was a little disappointing
The only backlash they got is from not putting SuperCorp together. They wouldn’t have gotten any backlash for making them a couple. We see so many gay couples on shows now, it’s normal. Why would CW think that? It’s so dumb.

As adorable as that moment was, I was annoyed because they were basically SAYING "I love you" when they could have just SAID THE WORDS. It could have meant "I love you as a close friend, practically family" or "I love you romantically" and IT STILL WOULD HAVE WORKED, but the writers just weren't allowed to go there, I guess.
i just watched both part and it honestly feels like i watched the best lesbian movie ever. thank you for compiling this! i stopped watching supergirl because i was tired of being disappointed. and if i had watched the season when it aired, i would have been. But i'm really glad with how they resolved the kara hiding that she's supergirl thing from lena. it was hard, it wasn't something they brushed over, and they worked together and moved past it. I was impressed with the scale of the hurt and the time the show had taken to fix it. It sucks that Kara and Lena didn't get together in the end, despite the depth of care that they have shown for each other on screen, and the depth of hurt that they both felt when trust was broken. But I'm still surprisingly impressed about how their relationship developed in season 6, how lena became part of the team after they got past the hurt, how kara can act openly in front of Lena without lying. That has been all I've ever wanted for Lena and I'm so happy that I watched this compilation or I would have missed it. sorry for the essay, i had so much feelings and not sure where to put it.
1:11:48 the way Lena look at Kelly and Alex while they are dancing it's more than her looking at her friends in love and dancing. It's almost like she is wishing that were her with someone... and the only someone that she even cares for more than the obvious friendship she has with Alex and Kelly is Kara. Don't tell me that she loves Kara the same as she loves Alex and Kelly because we all know it's not the same... and it's not the same because she is in love with Kara and vica versa... and when Lena joins them on the dance floor Kara looks at them and it's almost as if J'jonn senses the hidden love between Lena and Kara because he would know he is Psychic. 🔮 That is why it's so intresting that she tells Kara to go join them on the dance floor but what it is obvious is that he is telling her go.... Join your partner.. because on a dance floor you need a partner and Lena is Obviously her partner but it's a metaphor for more than just a dance.. Don't tell me you all did not get it...

Lena, the woman who risked a Phantom Zone phantom epidemic on Earth because she wouldn't give up the chance to bring Kara home. Lena, who opened up her heart to a pretty blonde reporter after years of past betrayals and even in her anti-villain phase kept Kara's secret and would risk a Kryptonite balde to the throat from her other former friend. Kara, for the love of Krypton's god Rao, SEE THE SIGNS.

They don't even bother with disguises at all. The Superman/Supergirl suits don't come with a mask or any identity concealment at all. Both Kara and her cousin Clark show their faces in plain sight, which is the completely opposite of a disguise. I still can't understand how Lena never even figured it out considering she knows what both Kara and Supergirl look like

God, I love how hurt Lena is that she becomes petty and condescending with Kara. She's so hurt that she doesn't explode, she implodes because she loves too much and too hard. She hurts herself way more than anyone else she intends to harm. I think she had always known Kara was Supergirl, she just wanted to be proven wrong because she wanted to believe people could be honest and good.
I honestly wish Katie and Melissa watch this video/movie. Maybe then they would TRUELY understand how much the series bated us but how much chemistry their characters had, and how Supercorp should have been canon.

@shepskies I have no doubt there were discussions. Rumor is that Katy was under the impression during season 6 that it was happening, that's why she intensified the stares, voice tone, touching, ect. According to the leaked info, she was furious to find out it was not happening. She had played many lesbian roles and was not happy to find out they baited.

Fans asked questions about Supercorp and she answered to the best of her ability. She even said, she had avoided certain questions and will do what she can to answer. One of the big things she answered was did she support Supercorp being cannon. Her answer was careful but it said a lot. I'm paraphrasing "You may have noticed that Mon El and William were permanently removed from being possible interests for Kara. My request. Katie and I got to greatly influence the final scene. I felt we were able to make it open ended. I hope that helps answer your question". I took that to mean she had William tell Kara he had a girlfriend and had Mon El say he could never return so that neither of Kara's known love interests were options post season 6. I do think the wedding scene with them was pretty open ended. Lena's little speech culls be interpreted multiple ways and it sounded more like they were coming out to each other lol. *Possible spoilers* Does anyone else feel like the way the series ended was too rushed? I don’t feel like I got closer from the show. It ended so abruptly and I felt like it could have been done better. They drug out the Totem story so much just to end everyone’s storyline in one episode that cut over different periods in like 2 years in 30 minutes.
definitely! Kara didn’t even have much of a storyline this season. I don’t even want to think about the finale, I have so many questions about it and we’ll never know the answer 😕 Worst part of it all is that Kara didn’t end up with a partner, which she has made it clear that from the start that she wanted one. Everyone else got their happy ending in the end except for Kara, simply because the most compatible partner for her at that point was Lena (how homophobic 🙄)

This made me uncomfortable. I never watched Supergirl before, but just watching the first minutes of this video I can tell they are more than friends! The part where Kara tells Lena about her secret and the one where Lena in turn betrays Kara, broke me. You can literally see Kara feeling terrified that Lena would react negatively, feel betrayed because she lied to her for so long, when she tells her about her secret and Kara's heart breaking when Lena traps her in crystal. Melissa and Katie were perfect to play as Kara and Lena.

Phantom Zone and then we have that added layer of angst for Lena trying to get Kara back and everything else along with it. Would've been chef's kiss

After 6 seasons you are just left with a big WHAAAT! The finale was really bad but for Cat Grant! I would really like to know the person/persons reasoning behind the decision to not make Supercorp happen despite a majority of fans clearly wanting just that? Sometimes they DO listen because I firmly believe that William was indeed brought on to the show to be Karas new love interest but when they discovered noone liked it they killed him off! Yep and I would also very much like to know what the actresses themselves thoght about it and if they had any influence over it?! Okay so we know that Lena and Kara were not made a Canon couple. 🙄 but.... with everyone having their partner who understands them and lifts them up when they are down and who they can talk to after a bad time. Brainy and Nia, Alex and Kelly and everytime that Kara is having a difficult time or needs saving Lena seems to be the only people that can help or save her. It's almost like a soulmate connection. That and given their chemistry ⚗ I have to say that Lena is her special person and I don't mean like in the Best Friends kinda way. I think she was never evil… the mind control thing was all about a misguided attempt to help people and bring about actual world peace. Obviously taking away peoples’ free will is never a good thing but it came from a place of wanting to make real change and help end war and abuse and betrayals and everything that makes humanity so terrible.

That season makes me think of an angry girlfriend who felt belittled or insulted but who turned to passive aggressive behaviors instead of communicating honestly to return the relationship to equal terms.

Lena never fully abandoned Kara, she wanted to, but couldn't. The moment she realized Lex was working against Kara she ran to her apartment, threw herself at Kara's mercy, and begged to help her. Did she do all of this for the greater good? No. She did it because in that moment Kara's safety mattered more to her than anger, revenge, or ego. The show made it clear that every time Kara was in danger Lena was willing to put everything aside to protect her. When push came to shove she cried as she chose not to send the email to Andrea that would have exposed Kara, this kept Kara safe. She had the chance to escape with Myriad while Kara was fighting in the fortress, she risked her own goals to help protect Kara, once shaikh choosing Kara's safety over her own. She had a panic attack when the Kryptonite cannons almost shot Kara, once again Kara's safety came first. She cried and almost broke when she saw the pain she caused by using Kryptonite on Kara in the fortress. It's clear, Lena would never abandon Kara, she was literally incapable of it.

The writers were never able to make Supercorp Canon, though they clearly wanted to. So instead they used double meanings in everything. One of those hints they sent was Andrea Rojas. They made sure we saw Lena had feelings like she did for Kara before. You can't tell me the Andrea thing was am accident by the writers. They used parallels in that entire relationship right as Supercorp was at its largest in popularity. This was to tell us Lena had deep feelings for the same sex before. So as a Behavioral Health Professional I have a breakdown that I think Supercorp fans will appreciate. Lena broke the way she did because the things she was hiding were brought to the surface and not just her denial of who Supergirl was. I'm not saying the show was implying Lena realized she was gay, but they were implying Lena cared for Kara in a way that went beyond friendship. Lena's pain was that she thought Kara didn't care as much as she did. Then Kara did her own speech and Lena realized that Kara was in as much denial as she had been. Season 6 is kind of proof of my theory. Season 6 was primarily Lena helping Kara except herself for who she is. Now this can be taken multiple ways and that was intentionally done by writers who weren't aloud to make them blatantly Canon, so instead they used double meaning on almost everything in season 6. Lena knew before Kara how she felt, that was clear by how different Lena became after she realized how she felt. The rest of the time was her patiently helping Kara come to terms with her own feelings and you can see Kara slowly except these things. Denial can be very very powerful. But if you look, Lena had slowly taken Alex's place in Kara's life and even Alex herself noticed this. You can't tell me Alex would feel okay in letting just a friend take her role in Kara's life. No she felt safe in leaving Kara with Lena cause she saw the connection, the writers made sure we knew Alex knew. All of this was intentionally made apparent to us that Lena had become the most important person in Kara's life and that last scene was Lena telling Kara she excepted herself and all that she is and that if Kara did the same, she would be there for her. Kara taking off the glasses while staring at Lena was a symbol from the writers of Kara excepting herself and an expression of what mattered to her, Lena Luthor.

I still think their reconciliation at least started out pragmatically. I mean, if Project Nondecere had succeeded the way Lena wanted it to and Lex had stayed quiet about his true intentions, Lena would have never gone back to being Kara's friend and would have continued to hate her forever. The events of season 6 would have played out very differently without Lena on the team. Remove one consequence she witnessed and her entire moment of realization could have been avoided

I wasn't even into this show and yet everytime i saw these two characters interact on screen. It was clear she shouldn't have even bother dating other people let alone what sex they were. Clear chemistry that make random viewers believe theres a love story are some of the best writings and sometimes they are accidents not meant to happen. But when you see the writing you take it there.

Reasons why Supercorp and Clexa have, I believe, the most fanfics written for them (in AO3 at least) is bc they have so much chemistry and potential and yet they aren’t endgame. When we are given great wlw representation there’s no need to write fanfics bc the canon material is satisfactory. But with supercorp and clexa, the material was THERE and had potential but what we got isn’t satisfactory so we go and write fanfics that satisfy us. Sigh. Kara telling Lena at the Pulitzer Prize party saved everything. Lena was not thinking at all about Kara at that time, only her own pain. She can say that she didn't out her as Supergirl because she wanted to use her, but the tears in her eyes as she decided not to do it say otherwise. She was still angry, but she remembered that she cared about Kara even then. She always made sure Kara was not in danger. She did protect her identity even them, chose to get caught with Myriad instead of leaving during the fight with Rama Khan so that she could help Supergirl. She still cared even though she couldn't admit it

Nobody is as perfect as Kara's romantic partner in the show other than Lena. Their interactions and what they went through together is makes them perfect for each other. No relationship is easy and the trials and tribulations they went through would only make them together. I started watching Supergirl because i stumbled upon a video of their scenes together. The mere tension between them and the clois parallels... It doesn't matter that they're not cannon in the show, for me they finally confessed their feelings for each other after the time the show ended.
The endgame Kara deserved especially after S6 letting clear they were made for each other ❤️💙

It seems like the writers tried to get the best of both worlds. Put them in a relationship in season 6, but only so the gays noticed. Obviously Lena and Kara were dating in the last season. You see it in the locations of their scenes and the way the speak to each other. Small example is Kara pouring and saving a drink for Lena. Big example is that last scene together talking about living their authentic selves. But they didn't want backlash so they didn't make it obvious. And we don't accept those scraps anymore.

i stopped watching supergirl because i was tired of being disappointed. and if i had watched the season when it aired, i would have been.
But i'm really glad with how they resolved the kara hiding that she's supergirl thing from lena. it was hard, it wasn't something they brushed over, and they worked together and moved past it. I was impressed with the scale of the hurt and the time the show had taken to fix it.
It sucks that Kara and Lena didn't get together in the end, despite the depth of care that they have shown for each other on screen, and the depth of hurt that they both felt when trust was broken.
But I'm still surprisingly impressed about how their relationship developed in season 6, how lena became part of the team after they got past the hurt, how kara can act openly in front of Lena without lying. That has been all I've ever wanted for Lena and I'm so happy that I watched this compilation or I would have missed it.

They don't even bother with disguises at all. The Superman/Supergirl suits don't come with a mask or any identity concealment at all. Both Kara and her cousin Clark show their faces in plain sight, which is the completely opposite of a disguise. I still can't understand how Lena never even figured it out considering she knows what both Kara and Supergirl look like
have i watched supergirl? no. but have i now watched 2 hours and 40 minutes of supercorp's story? YEAH. and I GET IT! they had mesmerizing chemistry from day one. a compelling arc with both angst and tenderness. the most perfect slow burn. this fandom was cheated so bad!

God, I love how hurt Lena is that she becomes petty and condescending with Kara. She's so hurt that she doesn't explode, she implodes because she loves too much and too hard. She hurts herself way more than anyone else she intends to harm. I think she had always known Kara was Supergirl, she just wanted to be proven wrong because she wanted to believe people could be honest and good.
I love how the actress just ends up like a sorceress, just like she did in Merlin.

I honestly wish Katie and Melissa watch this video/movie. Maybe then they would TRUELY understand how much the series bated us but how much chemistry their characters had, and how Supercorp should have been canon.
i’m sure they’re somewhat aware of the baiting. They had no say if their characters end up together or not. Ultimately it is up to the higher-ups and they chose to leave this legacy of baiting the audience so… can’t really blame the actresses, they have shown support for this ship before and i’m sure they still do 💞
@shepskies I have no doubt there were discussions. Rumor is that Katy was under the impression during season 6 that it was happening, that's why she intensified the stares, voice tone, touching, ect. According to the leaked info, she was furious to find out it was not happening. She had played many lesbian roles and was not happy to find out they baited.

Fans asked questions about Supercorp and she answered to the best of her ability. She even said, she had avoided certain questions and will do what she can to answer. One of the big things she answered was did she support Supercorp being cannon. Her answer was careful but it said a lot. I'm paraphrasing "You may have noticed that Mon El and William were permanently removed from being possible interests for Kara. My request. Katie and I got to greatly influence the final scene. I felt we were able to make it open ended. I hope that helps answer your question". I took that to mean she had William tell Kara he had a girlfriend and had Mon El say he could never return so that neither of Kara's known love interests were options post season 6. I do think the wedding scene with them was pretty open ended. Lena's little speech culls be interpreted multiple ways and it sounded more like they were coming out to each other lol. Does anyone else feel like the way the series ended was too rushed? I don’t feel like I got closer from the show. It ended so abruptly and I felt like it could have been done better. They drug out the Totem story so much just to end everyone’s storyline in one episode that cut over different periods in like 2 years in 30 minutes.
definitely! Kara didn’t even have much of a storyline this season. I don’t even want to think about the finale, I have so many questions about it and we’ll never know the answer 😕 Worst part of it all is that Kara didn’t end up with a partner, which she has made it clear that from the start that she wanted one. Everyone else got their happy ending in the end except for Kara, simply because the most compatible partner for her at that point was Lena (how homophobic 🙄)

The part where Kara tells Lena about her secret and the one where Lena in turn betrays Kara, broke me. You can literally see Kara feeling terrified that Lena would react negatively, feel betrayed because she lied to her for so long, when she tells her about her secret and Kara's heart breaking when Lena traps her in crystal. Melissa and Katie were perfect to play as Kara and Lena.

I'm telling ya I could've written this show better than the writers. Right at 36:06 you have Lena grab Kara by the lapels of her cape, pull her in and kiss her and then Kara goes well talk about this when the world isn't ending and then BAM! Phantom Zone and then we have that added layer of angst for Lena trying to get Kara back and everything else along with it. Would've been chef's kiss

After 6 seasons you are just left with a big WHAAAT! The finale was really bad but for Cat Grant! I would really like to know the person/persons reasoning behind the decision to not make Supercorp happen despite a majority of fans clearly wanting just that? Sometimes they DO listen because I firmly believe that William was indeed brought on to the show to be Karas new love interest but when they discovered noone liked it they killed him off! Okay so we know that Lena and Kara were not made a Canon couple. 🙄 but.... with everyone having their partner who understands them and lifts them up when they are down and who they can talk to after a bad time. Brainy and Nia, Alex and Kelly and everytime that Kara is having a difficult time or needs saving Lena seems to be the only people that can help or save her. It's almost like a soulmate connection. That and given their chemistry ⚗ I have to say that Lena is her special person and I don't mean like in the Best Friends kinda way. The way they interact with eachother and the way the scripts were written it safe to say that there is a lot going on there than just a best friend connection. These two are in love... 😍😍😘😘🥰🥰❤❤💘💘💘
