too bad they did not discuss how emotionally beautiful the film is, how moving it is. i cried a lot.
The new Disney version of Pinocchio was a mistake. The Del Toro concept of the story was brilliant.
In 1985, Jim Henson and director Steve Barron approached Walt Disney Pictures with the idea of a live-action version of Pinocchio, but Disney turned down the project. Barron still managed to make The Adventures of Pinocchio (1996), distributed by New Line Cinema.
I wanted to see his Pacific Rim 2 and Hellboy 3.

Guillermo del Toro Pinocchio was a masterpiece.
Animation a very slow process. Considering how bad Portland is doing I'm glad his studio won the Oscar for Pinocchio. Made up for too long Nightmare Alley.

@@Akela2004 ok I'm not that deep into the del Toro couple matter, lol but I have seen his movies. I think my favorite to date is The Devil's Backbone closely followed by Pans Labyrinth, the Hellboy movies were just very great fun....
