0:39 - Doody Digger: First reaction here is "GROSS!" if you care about your lawn and your grass you shouldnt be 'digging' to pick up your dogs poop. I can see this thing smelling and really doing a poor time consuming job at disposing of your pets waste.
1:40 - Wee-Wee Wire Rake - Basically just a shrub rake in a scoop shape. Residue will get on it but that is to be expected, nothing the hose and some bleach cant fix. I think this paired with a pale will be ok if you are picking up after your dog regularly and their poops are solid. I do question the length of the pole as it could put strain on someones already achy back. I think patchy and tall grass areas can be a problem with this one.
2:21 - Advanced Jaw Scoop - looks like a sturdy pooper scooper. Lots of nooks and crannies though so could potentially get gross if not kept up with. I will say while the design looks like it would work well, its not really that effective at picking up poop on multi surfaces and loose stool.
3:01 - Spring Action Foldable Scooper - Same issues here, less parts and its foldable. Still honestly not as good as a simple shrub rake. This will for sure leave residue on your lawn.
I would personally not recommend any of these except maybe the wee-wee wire rake with an extended handle attachment. I would also note, none of these would be good to bring with you while out on a walk.
I would recommend a simple shrub rake and a contractor pale. Simply rake the poop in and toss it out. Minimal bending and cleanup. This is what I use for my professional poop scooping business and is pretty much an industry standard. Conversely, if you have a tough time picking up your dogs poop you can always hire a professional and let them take care of it for about as much as you would spend on lunch in a week. First one is so gross! The bag is “quite large”… so you keep a bag of poop around until full?
