Painting A Bird House and Picnic Table for my Nan

In this video I am painting on a bird house and bird feeder picnic table to gift to my nan. I actually recorded this a little while ago in March for a mothers day present for my nan so I have had this footage for a little while now. She did love these when I gave them to her and she was really happy!
I really wish that I could have a bird feeder in my garden but I really wouldn't like to risk it with Clive as there is literally nowhere in my garden that he can't reach.
I love how the table turned out but I was not too happy with how the house looked in the end. I just think it doesn't quite look right. I see where I was going with the idea, but I think the background of the wall being so plain maybe was making it look not quite right.
I didn't really discuss the varnish too much in the video but I ended up putting 3 coats on the house, and the top of the table and benches, but I only did 2 coats of varnish on the legs and underneath the table because it was actually horrible to paint.
I was disappointed that I didn't press record when I painted the details on the house but I still wanted to upload the video anyway as I can still show the other paintings I have done, and talk about the creative process.
Please let me your thoughts on this project and if you have ever painted anything like this I would love to hear about it!
