new hc unlocked. as soon as he makes It home he lets Penelope and Telemachus know but doesn’t make a big deal out of It until all the suitors are defeated
in the odyssey the telemacus part is true. they reunite before odysseus returns to the palace(literally the sweetest scene ever) and actually kill the suitors together as a little father-son bonding activity :D dont know if jorge is gonna do it that way for epic tho
The funny thing is that the suitors had to string the bow first, meaning that even if they strung the bow they would still have to shoot the arrow through the axes. On top of that, the bow's strength (from what I heard about) was way over a hundred pounds, so none of the lazy suitors would be unable to even pull back the string.
Ohhh new epic knowledge unlocked, I just love knowing things Abt the odyssey from everyone in yt and TikTok bc I didn't read it so getting these "did you know?" Things is so fun for me! ;)
@@xKaty_Starx Another fun fact is that Aphrodite is the oldest Olympian (even older than Hestia who was firstborn of Kronos and Rhea), the reason is that she was spawned when bits of Ouranos (Primordial, or Protogenetoi, The Embodiment of the Sky itself. He was the first husband to Gaia, or Gaea) fell into the ocean in which the ruler of the seas was Pontus, Primordial of the Sea, and Aphrodite was formed from the combination of Ouranos' body parts and Pontus' essence which technically makes her a Primordial or a Titan at the very least. Ouranos got chopped into tiny pieces by his own kids, the Titans, Kronos did the slicing and dicing with a scythe. A not so fun fact was that most relationships in Greek (and Roman by extention) were incestuous, an example would be Zeus marrying Hera, his older sister. Kronos also married his sister Rhea... Yeah, I don't know what they were thinking, but that's kinda gross.
@@Void_of_Heart1 okay okay okay so that's in hesiod's version, that's aphrodite urania homer used aphrodite pandemos, who was the daughter of zeus & dione... and who might've had a child w zeus, it's like... part of the myths that eros's father is unknown but that the possibilities are ares, hermes, and zeus
