Objectively wrong. Wesker's portrayal of realistic/live action combat and bullet dodging changed everything in animation so much that they tried to use it beat-for-beat in the Resident Evil movie. The world needed more anime-style mobile action and Wesker laid the groundwork along with the Krauser knife fight in Resident Evil 4 (even though I don't like that game). Now if only movies like "RRR" got more notice...
The issue is that Wesker in RE5 feels(not is, but that's another matter) faster then someone like Alex Mercer. But at the same time he's not that much superior to protagonists in strength and toughness. So it comes into that weird situation similar to how Flash can punch Superman at speed of light and be fine, but then he can himself be knocked out by normal dude. Strength and toughness are connected to speed, but not in Wesker's case. Because protagonists need to defeat him. Obviously.
