i was so expecting eugene to despawn into another location as soon it hit 5.
Same
Or going afk and being 1 minute to late lol
I was expecting Britt to go ak for a moment, come back at like 5:06 and Eugene telling here to come back at 5
Just like xenoblade. Good times
I hate to say this but this was exactly what I thought was going to happen.
I feel like the sound/audio team doesn't get enough love. Everyone's voices are clear, the little sound effects make it feel way more immersive, even little editing tricks like how Eugene's distant sobbing could still be heard as Britt walked away is absolutely fantastic! Props to the sound team
Agreed. As a hearing impaired person I really apprecaite the audio on these video's
I agree. Audio production is impeccable, which is not a given, even for podcast content that is meant to be only listened to. Whoever is doing the sound editing and mixing for these videos really knows their stuff.
@@g1eagle😂
Well, I mean, theyre literally like 20 feet away from one another. 😂
They even look at one another and wave.
@@AssassinIronMan can I help you laughing man?
That's the point where some people go mad and decide to compete the rest of the campaign using only the trowel.
Yeah this quest is literally the reason Trowel only challenge runs became a thing. I couldn't imagine chipping away at Dave the Dark lord 2HP at a time.
And yet it looks like more fun than playing star field….
@allisonwhoisallisonanyway7601 That's why you use the Reverse Trowel exploit. 3 patches in, and I can still one-shot Dave.
Jokes on you, the trowel is the best weapon in the game.
actually the way the quest is coded you cant unequip the trowel until you turn it in :P
And then there was a rash of murders in Honeywood. "These entry wounds," said the inspector, "all seem to be trowel-shaped."
The inspector used detective mode to solve the Honeywood murders.
If he's weak minded!
Only the weak minded use detective mode@@calebowens693
@@calebowens693 You made it all this way without detective mode? lol
Yes, but when the guards arrested the suspect, she said she didn't do it, so they let her go.
@Draelos Love a good callback!
The costumes look especially good in this skit
Brits looks great!
they are cosmetics for microtransactions ;)
@@fatalshore5068 That dress matched the armour perfectly.
That dress is stunning
@ 👍
Eugene only progresses the quest at 5pm
Greg shuts his shop at 5pm
Oh the time restrictions on that quest are just deliberate
Even better, Greg is sapient. *He knows full goddamn well what he's doing to the players.*
Kinda how wow time gates campaign quests
I think they want you to log in everyday?
Britt losing her sh!t is always funny. She plays it so well. Almost like the guys wind her up to bring it out 🤣
I love britt and her ticked off attitude shes so natural at it!
She walks that fine line of being relatable enough that we feel her pain but rude enough that we don't care quite brilliantly.
"No Britts were harmed in the making of this skit"
If she played videos games like this IRL, her RP skills would be hilarious! Yelling at an NPC over the mic as other players just walk by.
Shits valuble on korea look it up it was used for growing crops like in many places theres cafes with shit shaped mugs the shape not the swear word
At least he gave a specific hour. Sometimes the NPC will ask you to come at night, but they mean one specific hour between 6pm and 7am, good luck figuring out which!
They usually say before or after midnight, obviously you don't go at 6pm or 6am...
2:44 I'm sorry, Greg, I can't talk right now. But I can check out the merch in about five years, so come back and see me then.
Come back Friday, when I get paid.
Nice!
Good one 😂
Ooh! Burn! I like it.
My son has decided they are no longer "chores", they are "side quests" and I must say, "ah! hello adventurer" give him the "side quest" which must have fun names, and then he says "accept". He gets xp points for each quest. 1XP = $1.
Greg, yelling out from behind the closed door means that the game designers knew an adventurer would continue standing outside his house after he'd already gone inside, lol.
Delvin just realistically recreated soundwaves and wood
"I'm sorry adventurer, I'm closed for the winter season. Come back in 4 months !"
But it's not god damn winter in my part of the world! My reply to the NPC.
I hate how Americans forget there is a whole planet.
Sure, but Greg is at some place in his world that's either winter or not. Doesn't need to line up with anyone's seasons, frankly.
This is the best skit in a while.
Found myself giggling uncontrollably for a while there.
Thank you
I agree, this had the classic Viva touch that I have come to love that's for sure! *cries in Eugene*
"Bro - it's right here. I've got it in my hand!"
Britt's voice there was just perfect.
Love Brits costume in this one. You guys are great and funny and all that but whoever makes your props and costumes also deserves all the praise. You guys rock!
I love that she finally got an upgrade from the breastplate of shmargon that's a metal bikini on female characters from the early day skits.
Hold up. WHO gets all the praise? If someone deserves ALL the praise, there's none left for anybody else. 🤔🤨😉😁
What? This costume is freaking horrible. Go see an eye doctor or something.
Agree, the armor is really nice and the dress is absolutely gorgeous, amazing costuming
@@sabrinarts…….i loved the bikini armor
1:05 OMG! He did the thing!!! 😭😭😭
Where is his Letter!? 😭
I'm impressed that she had the patience to wait 8 hours.
She didn't even do anything to pass the time
Yeah, not even a mechanism to skip time forward 😢
@@Anthyrion Its an mmorpg, how do you suppose to skip time? )))
@@VitaliyKoryakov Bruh, you seriously? All you gatta do is just press Start, go down to options, and look for the "Forward time," option. Skycraft been out for so long. Next thing you're going to do is tell me you don't have detective mode turned on.
I was fully expecting her to fall asleep past 5pm.
@@moalex6617 Or don't have a horse pocket
And that is why that guy decided "randomly" burn Gregs house down.
Thats when you burn down greg's house. And then you go back to Eugene's...
If it was Rowan or Ben instead of Britt, probably!!
And his family is accidentally caught in the flames.....
And plant spiders everywhere inside.
I really like Britt's vibe in this one, her armor looks amazing and she plays exactly like a tired adventurer with the way she comes to Greg for the quest
Yay Eugene is back! I've come to miss his silly cry. They need to make their character plushies have a recording of their famous dialog. I could never get tired of hearing Eugenes goofy cry and Gregs "Hello Adventurer!" exclamation.
Morning! Nice day for fishing, innit? Hu-hah!
Would love to buy thoose...Eugene for my car then...whenever another driver is about to make me mad THIS cry as a mourning...and all stress would be gone! 🙂
Hard days work ahead?! "Nice day for fishing..." would bring in the good vibes to begin the chores correctely....
...nkay only a dream I guess *sigh*.
@@wilfriedsiems9658 "Hello Adventurer!" would be a great morning starter too
100hrs later, Brit trying to drop a useless trowel but failing because it's a quest item: "where da hell did I got this trowel from!?"
Nice to see Brit found something better than the breast plate of Argon
As a matter of fact. I never saw her putting it on 😊
@@reljamrkic2663
Actually she has put it on years ago. XD
The Trowel of Argon!
I dunno, I was kinda fond of the style.
i didnt think there was anything better lol
Love Britt's costume. The patterns and coloring are greatness and work well with the rest of her ensemble.
Also...she should have gone full Skyrim and broken into his house to finish the quest. He'll complain about her being where she shouldn't be, but if she initiates dialogue he should act like he's still in daytime mode.
Such a beautiful dress.... and that doesn't usually grab my eye!! Brit looks great... your costume designs are skyrocketing!
Britt poking Eugene in the face with the scroll is so damn funny 🤣
At least he specified one hour. Sometimes the NPC will ask you to come at night, but they mean one specific time between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m.; good luck figuring out which!
Hi ew
"Speak to me in the morning", meanwhile it's 11 and I've been trying since 4.
I remember playing this one game where the NPC said "Meet me in 2 hours", and the time passage mechanic in the game was inexact at best. Silver lining, option B was I could take them with me.
Speek to me later.....
Me: but this game doesn't have a time mechanism there is no day/night cycle the sun in the sky hasn't moved since I created this character back when I was lvl1 that was 876 lvls ago
This is Soooo relatable and you haven't even touched on the worst thing 😮
So you go and do a quest while you wait and then it takes so long that you have to wait until tomorrow 😢
I remember in the original Baldur's Gate game, there were so many quests, encounters, etc. that could only be done at a certain time, and if you overshoot, you have to rest or travel in order to get to the specific time of day to continue.
If only there was a class specialized in keeping track of celestial bodies, they should be ideal for managing time-related quests like this.
And making the boring quest look good in that fantastic cape!
Whoever designs your costumes overdid themselves with Brett's dress . It looked amazing .
This appearing just as I visited your channel felt like my Time of Day Specific Quest
:)
I had the exact same thing happen
Almost as bad as "This character is involved in another quest, please complete that one.", and it's a 5 hour trek to do quest after quest for the NPC to say "Oh, here's a flower, bye!"
Genshin Impact does that, its so annoying!
@@israelhuskyruins the flow
Vldl has such an awesome lineup of people Britt skits are always a treat to watch
Reminds me of Graveyard Keeper. There are a number of characters that are only available on a specific day of the week, and it happens again and again that the quest of one requires you to talk to the person whose day was yesterday, forcing you to piss about for almost a week.
Imagine Britt sneaking to reverse pickpocket the note into his inventory. Then when that fails and she tries to get it back, he notices and alerts the guards that she's a thief.
Oi there, letter-theft is a crime punishable by death!
I was playing some Skyrim the other day and put a poison in someone's inventory. I hadn't taken the skill where that harms the person so I quickly unlocked it and tried to steal it back and was caught. (It was a bandit of some kind so no big deal to just bash them with a mace, but still.)
Eugene is moving 5 frame rate per second. Props to Adam for that 😂
All of Britt's lines were spot on to how I feel with these quests! Also, I love how Greg's barely even trying to hide his sentience, as he had a new quest rejection dialog every time Britt protested, unlike Eugene.
Those outfits are looking amazing, come such a long way in production over the years! Still the same outstanding, well thought out skits!
That armor dress is fricking great!
This is a documentary on why being forced to wait ingame should never be a gameplay feature.
But how will we increase player retention and take more money from investors?
Single player games with a “wait” feature are fine. Not MMOs.
LOL, now this is proper old school VLDL content, Eugene is an awesome character and Britt plays off him and Greg so well 🤣
"Thank you adventurer" *Eugene Sobbing*
2:38 Skip...
Underrated 😂
Brit: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Greg. Quest me.
Narrator: It was at that moment she didn't realize she fucked up.
NPC: I can’t talk right now, please come back tomorrow
Notification pops up saying the event the npc is in will be closing in 5 minutes.
Reminds me of probably my least favorite quests. Timed delivery quests where you are given a very short time limit to make multiple deliveries. Remember having to do this in Borderlands 2 when Marcus got drunk and mailed out refunds and he wants you to go get them back.
Was expecting for Brit to fall asleep, waking at 5PM, coming to Eugene but before she would have a chance to interact with him, the time would advance to 5:01PM and:
1) quest would fail
or
2) Eugene would tell her to come at 5PM (the next day)
Britt being pissed off was so convincing! We all share this frustration, haha🤣 Great outfit on her too!
At least Eugene didn't get stuck on his path and can't make it to the destination to receive the note.
Oh yes. I remember those kind of quests at Mabinogi MMO.
One of the main guys from the story was a bear half of the day. Unable to speak to you.
Also all the "daily" quests were in game time restricted on when you can take it, when you need to do it and when you can close it.
And last annoying NPC was a story releated merchant, that was randomly in different towns every few hours.
will admit i love brits outfit
the head and guts are unprotected but at least the boobs have armor lol
At least it's a resemblance of armor, not a bikini scale mail😂
@@zORg_alex true but if your gunna go style over protection may as well go all the way lol I'm sure rowan would be more than happy 2 wear the bikini armorn
The fact that boob armor doesn't align with the anatomy and just rests randomly on top bothers me lol
@@Jack-yo2bc Thats peak Womens armor! Better stats than Full Plate, don'tcha know! :D
The random Eugene cry at the end, even though he has no reason to be upset, really got me.
the subtitles say "tears of joy" :)
Frodo, take the ring to the fires of mount doom....
But just so you know, you only have 300 hours to complete this task and you must drop the ring into the lava at precisely noon, not a moment later.
Yes, yes, you'll be in a cave under a live volcano with no sunlight and watches don't exist, but remember!
At precisely noon, not a moment early, or a moment late or the dark lord will find you and middle earth will be plunged into a dark and terrible age.
RUN! you fool!
0:10 loved brit's armor
it looked so good, the overall costume design has always been good since i started watching you guys 6 years ago
1:35 I was actually waiting for the game to go on maintenance there
Britt just keeps getting better. The acting is so natural.
When Eugene got the parcel they should have showed it to us and it should have been a picture of the middle finger saying. Did I show you this? Give back what you borrowed😂
That sounds like a Bodger letter lol 😂
Nice day for flippin', innit? Hue hah!
😄 🤣 😂 "Where's my letter ✉️ 😢?" That cry 😢 never disappoints 😅.
I love how Britt's Epic NPC Man character is so different from her Bored character.
britts costume design was absolutely fantastic. please congratulate the costume designer. she looks like a princess knight
You just know 1 minute before you can hand the quest in the servers will go down for maintenance. Then when the come back up you will have missed the time to hand it the quest. Also since it is a limited time quest you need to wait 3 months for it to come back up again so you can hand it in.
The best part about maintentance is when devs decide to give it a thought and make it happen overnight. For all severs for 'their overnight' and you in a different part of world are stuck out of game in 8PM.
Oh this is really evil. Have you considered a career as a game designer?
Brits outfit is stunning! I love the pattern on the dress! The armor actually suits it well. Well done costume department, all the outfits are great but this one really caught my eye 💜
cool brit found some proper armor, the outfit is bit of a cross between the thrown watcher armor and captain mercedes from dark souls 2 and dragons dogma respectively... looks great on brit, welldone to the costume maker.
Knowing that Greg is self-aware, he did all this questline just to troll the players. Too bad he's doing it to players that don't skip his dialogues.
They don't need a BRAVE Adventurer to deliver the items. They need a PATIENT adventurer. 😂😂😂😂
Saw that last part coming haha. I get giddy every time I hear that intro music. My favorite skits from vldl. Love you guys!
HER DRESS IS MAJESTIC WTF
Was looking through comments for just this... it's really beautiful!
Those type of quests always drove me nuts. Love Britt's new costume! Another top notch skit!
Great dress. Love the fabric.
Eugenes sobbing is SO heartbreaking.
Damn so true lol.... especially when you have you to choose between 'North American' or 'Asia' specific servers and not to mention there's various timezones in those regions too. So you have a completely skewed out timezone for time-specific quests for the time-zone the quest(s) have been inadvertently hardcoded for .... bleugh
I love how Eugene resumes his default state of crying after completing his part of the quest.
A dress + armor?
Gotta be dressed to be prepared in case your next quest takes you to a royal ball or battling monsters, I guess.
I was expecting a ton of people to show up, making Brit wait, and when it was her turn time would be up. :D
German bureaucracy in a nutshell.
You wouldn't believe the number of emails and online requests that only ever get answered by letter three days later. Then you respond back with an email and get another letter another three days later. Any applications take at least several months here, no matter how small they are. My friend's brother requested an additional garbage can from the city last year. They responded happily with them being able to meet his demands in 2027 at the earliest.
Never ceases to amaze me just how consistent he is with that crying. 😂😂😂
Eugene's responses were programmed lines. Greg's were actually tailored to what Britt said. Greg was taking the piss lmao
Who would wait? There are only 3 options. 1. time skip 2. doing other quests and returning to this one 3. abandoning the quest.
It's truly amazing how every episode you post confirms why I DON'T play MMOs.
Lol Brit poking Eugene in the face with the papers.
He held it together. Gotta give him props.
Looks like they fixed women's armor
It's certainly more practical than the breastplate of Argon, that's for sure.
Well, it got better but it still has boob armor and that doesn't make sense If you have breasts, you DON'T want them to move. You want them to stay in place, that's why there are sports bras and binders.
Eugene is as enthusiastic about that letter as if it's from friggin Hogwarts
2:20 god...damnit greg! dont you do this! you get back here right now! you get back here and complete this quest greg! not agaaaaaain!!!!
This skit is exceedingly fresh. the back & forth between britt & greg is charming as heck.
& lack of F bombs take me back to early seasons of Epic NPC man. greg doesn't really swear. :)
Greg is one of the most perfectly built characters. I don't know how the people at Arctic Storm made such a good character, especially with all of the unique dialogue. They made him respond to so many things uniquely, every situation differently. Props to the developers!
That is AI. :)
Eugene going right back to crying waiting for the next letter is perfect.
Brit’s token ‘girlie armour’ cracked me up especially that tiny patch of mail on a huge skirt. I normally wait out these time restrictions at an Inn with a bottle of something in-game expensive😊
Brit's dress is very pretty, I love the silver colour. Nice costuming. Actually not a dress, a robe / cloak thing. No idea what to call it.
3:03 am what a way to wake up and check email notifications!
This was your time of day specific quest😉😂
This was one of the funniest sketches in a while 😂
2:32 was funny
Britt reaching Rowan levels a NPC sass is a beautiful thing!
That woman starting walking at exactly 4:20... I wonder what she's up to.
2:30 I like how Greg has a fairly intricate lock for his door. Must be to safeguard all the riches that he amassed by trading garlic from strictly 9 to 5.
She wears an unrealistic female adventurer outfit. Where is the bikini armor?
I LOVE that Greg just straight walked into his house and shut the doors.
...And that is why everyone time travels in the Animal Crossing series.
Til an angry mole yells at you about it.
Britt is so funny in a cute way
Follow-up Quest: "Greetings, adventurer. Take this letter ..."
Turns out that this is the start of an epic questline. But it's filled with time sensitive quests. Somewhere out there is someone waiting for the trowel but no one got that far!
