    After the fall of the CCCP, Mriya flew to America on a good will visit from Ukraine and was opened for tours. My family and I climbed into and around the beautiful behemoth as it sat on the tarmac outside Philadelphia (in 1991?). The cargo bay was expansive; and access to the flight decks above was via a very narrow ladder put in place when the giant nose was opened. Crew had bunks in cramped quarters behind the cockpit and navigation areas. Truly an amazing plane, so many landing gear, such wingspan. It is a sorry sight to see Russians destroy everything they cannot have power over - all for the glory of one lonely and insane man. Peace and good will to the people of Ukraine. Glory to heroes. Glory to Ukraine.

      А США создаёт? Ваши политики разрушили СССР, сотни тысяч людей обнищали и выживали в нашей стране из-за политики вашей страны, именно ваши политики напали на Ирак, влезли в Афганистан, в Сирию, в Ливию, устроили государственый переворот на Украине, после чего к власти пришли фашисты, и вы смеете обвинять нас в разрушении??? Когда последний раз на территории США была война??? Но ведь ваши войска постоянно где-то воюют, значит они вторгаются в другие страны и разрушают их. А на территории бывшего СССР войны время от времени происходят, и их не было бы, если бы власти США не разрушили бы СССР... Ваша страна самая большая угроза для всего мира

      The plane was destroyed by the military forces of Ukraine, fearing that Russia might get the plane. But at the same time they accused Russia that it was the Russian military that destroyed the plane. And there are thousands of similar frauds and deceptions on the part of Ukraine. And the most striking example of such fakes, deception and false accusations is the alleged shooting of civilians in Bucha. Why does no one find it strange that the allegedly executed citizens were found on the streets of Bucha only three days after the Russian troops left the city??? And this is just one of the questions that Ukrainian propaganda cannot answer. And how many more such events ? Ukraine fired rockets at the center of Donetsk, many people died that day. And Ukrainian false propaganda published photos of these murdered people in Donetsk in Western publications as the shelling of Kiev by Russian troops. And the story of the plane....but soon the moment will come when everyone will see the light. It's just a pity it's too late...

      @@ProFlightAviation It was not built by Ukraine, this is a lie, it was only serviced. By the way, why couldn't they finish building the second copy?) This is a purely Russian aircraft, Russian designers, engineers, resources of all Russia. This is if you do not take into account the fact that Ukraine is the Little Russian region of Russia.

    • @yevhendykyi3937
      @yevhendykyi3937 2 года назад +3

      @@ae5655 This is a Ukrainian plane. Built in Ukraine during the Soviet(Russian) occupation. It was completed during the times of independent Ukraine, when it finally passed certification. Engineers are all Ukrainians. The development was even financed not from the state budget of the USSR, but from the republican budget of the Ukrainian SSR. There is little involvement, for example, of the Uzbek plant that built the wing. However, any participation could be replaced by plants in Ukraine. Moreover, why can't Zalissya(Muscovy) build AN-124-100 Ruslan on its own(on the basis of which the Mriya was built)? Why were those AN-124 corps that were already in Zalissya after the collapse of the USSR completed by Ukraine and not by Russia itself? We know why the second Mriya was not completed. Because there were not enough orders even for the first Mriya. That is, it made no economic sense to build a second dream for big money and keep it in the hangar until it rots. Well, finally, Zalissya(medieval name of Russia) is just a colony of Rus(this is the medieval name of Ukraine).

      @@robertcamble3543 yeah, It would be a good idea but, It would be extremely expensive. After the fall of the USSR, there was no money left for the Buran program , causing it to get cancelled and subsequently putting the AN-225 into storage in 1994. Some of its engines were scraped.
      In 2001 the AN-225 was restored costing a significant amount. (It was in much better condition then it is now) Im my opinion the best option is to rebuild the 2nd unfinished airframe.
