Ahman was so tough that when he ran with an injured leg he compensated so hard that he broke his other foot. I was in Memorial Stadium and witnessed his first start when he dragged and entire team for ten yards and never went down. That may be the loudest the place has ever been. Talk about talented. How many guys have been handheld clocked at 4.1 by a pro scout? A lot of today’s backs could learn a lot by watching his film. How to hit the line and get small. How to beat the tackler to the hit. How to read a rush and block. I think Tom Osborne once said that Ahman was one of the humblest players he ever coached and did everything asked of him without complaint. Could there be higher praise? My favorite Husker of all time.

He’s right ‘95 Huskers ahead of the 2001 Canes

The 2001 Canes are very likely the most talented team ever but the 95 Nebraska team was the best TEAM to ever play. The canes did not play as well together as a team as that 95 Nebraska team. Average of 400 yards rushing per, no sacks allowed all season, and teams knew what they were going to do on offense but could not even slow them down. The 95 Nebraska team just ran over everyone they played

What separated those Husker teams was the fact they brutalized people. Teams could not match the depth, but more importantly crumbled because they were getting pounded into the ground. That Miami team had an immobile QB and the O Line would have had major protection issues against the Blackshirts. And after a quarter and a half the Cane D Line would start to feel the effects of being knocked down every play. As they would get behind they would have to throw every down and Dorsey would be under tremendous pressure and would serve the ball up. Meanwhile the pounding takes its inevitable toll. As for the kick off teams, Kickoffs through the end zone and Mackovicka and Hesse takes care of those return guys. 1993 Cowboys were the most Dominant Cowboys team in the 90's. Ask those HoFers on the 49ers teams that were beatdown by the brutality of the 93 Cowboys.

The 95 Huskers beat 4 Top Ten teams by 38 ppg, including 62-24 vs Florida who dominated the SEC. Florida was the legit 2nd best team in the country and won the national title very next year. Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State and Colorado were all in the Top Ten that year. All 4 won 10 or more games and destroyed their bowl opponents. The Big Eight was the best conference in 1995 and it wasnt even close

The 1995 Huskers were back to back undefeated national champions. They won again in 1997

The Miami team is the most talented team ever that cannot be debated. That team literally had future nfl hall of famers coming off the bench. I’d say the Nebraska team is the most dominant.

What people forget is the 2001 canes needed a lucky play against UNRANKED BC and a lucky punt return against VT to win the game. NO Question 2001 Miami was the most talented team ever...BUT NO ONE was more dominate than the 95 Huskers.... Think Mike Tyson in his early 20s... you were done before you walked on the field your only hope was that you would not get killed. No question what so ever 95 Huskers were the most Dominate and best COLLEGE team ever

You picked the greatest college team ever based on their pro performance?? We are talking about college football, not pro. Their pro performance is irrelevant. That's like saying every draft bust wasn't a great college player.
