Rivalry between Teddy and Mastana was one of the funniest things ever. It was surreal. You could watch them taking jibes at each other for hours and still wouldn't get enough of it. Mastana will always be dearly missed.
I have seen this drama live in February 2001 in Mehfil Theater near Lakshmi Chowk Lahore. I watched it only because I was fan of Mastana in those days and it was my dream that whenever I will live in Lahore the first thing I will do would be to see a stage drama of Mastana live in the theater. When Mastana came and said "mera naa malanga daku ay", the whole hall started laughing like hell. Deedar was also working in this drama and was wearing yellow dress and a guy sitting next to me shouted loudly "Oye shezan te peyao" just to tease Deedar as she was wearing a yellow dress but Tariq Teddy who was also on the stage at that time immediately replied "tenu peyo da coca cola na peya wan" and that guy sitting next to me didn't shout afterwards after getting this fitting reply from Tariq Teddy, that guy was also from Faisalabad because he told me before the start of the drama that he had come especially from Faisalabad to Lahore to see this drama live. That was one of the most memorable days of my life as it was my dream to see a Lahore Punjabi stage drama of Mastana live in the theater and I did it, I was so proud of myself because before that I had only watched the stage dramas on VCR back in my hometown during the 1990s.
