John Cameron Mitchell was unbelievable as Joe Exotic in Joe vs Carole. More people need to be talking about his incredible performance. Honestly I couldn't believe it was him. What an actor.
If you think he was good as joe, yes he was, most will think his first movie was hedwig in 2001, and know him off of that, but his original on the map 1980s from which I know and love him is the greatest film ever BAND OF THE HAND
I was exposed to him through Good Fight and I'm so glad to make the connection of his history. As a theatre person, buying a home at anytime is incredible! ❤
When this was filmed back in March 2022, I WAS WORKING FOR JCM AS THE FULL-TIME LIVE-IN CARETAKER HANDYMAN TO HIS NEW HOUSE HE WAS RENOVATING IN NEW ORLEANS! In FACT! John was wearing this EXACT SAME OUTFIT the day he flew back to NYC from New Orleans where he had just invited me to continue on working for him as his full-time live-in caretaker handyman to his new house in New Orleans! He told about his plans for a hot tub as well! I began working for him in September 2021 and for 351 days straight I worked at that house and waited on him hand and foot and was there for EVERY SINGLE THING at any given moment! Ne er missed a beat! So when this aired, I had no idea at first until MY MOM FORWARDED THE LINK TO ME FREAKING OUT THINKING I HAD BEEN FIRED! Watching it for myself I was shocked and very confused because I had just been invited to continue on the job thru the spring because John loved how fit I was for the job! And it began as just being a job for 30 days! Everyone I knew who watched this all began treating me differently because what John says about which qualities he’s looking for in a live in caretaker suggest that I didn’t have those qualities which is why he was looking for a caretaker! The truth is, I had all those qualities AND MORE and prove so as I would continue working as the caretaker thru September! My work (which was under written contract) for John ended after I sent an invoice requesting payment for all the work I’d done but hadn’t been paid for still having fulfilled my contractual obligations to his complete satisfaction…instead he freaked out, refused paying me then illegally locked me out of the house leaving me broke and homeless! John NEVER talked about this interview to me or why he literally in the same week we had just been together working very well together,turned around and acted like I didn’t exist. To me it’s slander. And for him work me for 351 days in a row and only pay me for about 30 of those days, then promise to help move me into my own place once my work was done and didn’t but instead left me broke homeless friendless and humiliated after I spent a year taking immaculate care of his house on his behalf and he was so happy how I managed it all on my own in his absence which was virtually the entire time…he never spent 1 night in the house I the 351 days I was there working for him! Oh and Jon does have a new hot young sexy shirtless house caretaker that’s got a model face and body…total plutonic husband material! Maybe that’s why he was looking for another, we were strictly business. Friendly but not friends we didn’t hang out or go out or even dine together. I was hired to do a job and I did it very well! Hope you see this JCM! You think you got away with ripping me off and ruining my life! But you’re gonna pay what you owe eventually! And you know you did me so wrong! Mark my words people! Doubt me all you want you will be proven wrong when this is over!
