Sad to hear this but my idea of a super steel is AEB-l ( takes a great edge, easy to sharpen, holds it for long enough, doesn’t rust and well tough enough for any sensible chap)
I think they are doing a chapter 11 restructuring and if thats is the case then they won't be going anywhere but I could be wrong just what it looks like to me from what I've read about it. I'm not in financing and law so take what I'm thinking for what it's worth (Not Much) 😁 I love AEB-L myself and it's priced well compared to CPM Steels. Hope all is good Will in your neck of the woods.
I'm so incredibly sad over this.. I've always wanted a knife in either CPM-3V or Magnacut but my financial situation hasn't been too great so all and any supersteel knives have been out of reach for me.. And now because of Crucible going under it's going to be absolutely impossible for me to get my hands on one.. 😮💨😔
This isn’t new they filed bk in 2009 and big issue is New Jersey steel left them Its not just about knifes boys. Larrin Thomas is the cause of the this problem
For you knife nerds Usa doesn’t have the ore to make steel so they out source Crucible was a company that been around a bit and they dont only make knifes metals they make parts for everything ! Keep this in mind when they closed the doors at lot of companies will be outsourcing . They only have 158 employees when they use to have 400 employees Lol spyderco has no money lol your funny
@@warlantactical wasn’t trying to be funny, nothing about a company filing chapter 11 is funny to me. I was only using a brand like Spyderco as an example. I have no idea how much credit line another company has. Just trying to keep my own company in the black.

@ please do research first before dropping something big like this . I get your a knife maker feel bad for you . That is why i stopped pursuing my design and brand . Our usa economy is hurting bad They must 💯 bring back the mills in ny and los Angeles to repair us
@ what is your problem? What incorrect information did I share? If you watched the video you would know this doesn’t affect my business very much and you would also know I said we don’t know and I don’t know many times in the video. In fact at this point only the owners of crucible probably know the facts.

Is this causing issues with my preorder on November 1st 2024
If I offered a model in a crucible steel then the steel was already on hand, so no it doesn't.

Don’t care for 3v anyway…
AEB-L is the way and Nitro for certain blades
@@hiramhaji7813 doesn’t effect AEB-L or Nitro V but does effect a lot more steels than just 3v.
