Beautiful work Tom! Couple of great tips there for painting. Using the silver to make the paint brighter. Also the part about applying thinner coats and doing more as opposed to trying to do thick coats. That’s probably where my problem has been. I use rattle cans and dont have the patience to let them dry so I’m probably put on too thick of coats. Thanks again!
This is too cool, I literally just ordered this exact model off of amazon 2 days ago and now you are building it! Too sweet
This color is really nice for the evo X 👌👍
(do you have an evo?)
Thank you for your videos.. I Know you have inspired a lot of builders in this hobby...
Nice, Tom! That answers a question for me - I was going to try white-over-silver and I had doubts. You made it cleat it deserves a try. Thanks! Gabriel
Like always, beautiful work
Nice color for an evo. Rare
Awesome builds Tom. Do you remove the needle tip from your airbrush when spraying color. It looks like the tip is removed on your videos.
You mean the crown? Yes i spray without.
Does removing the crown give you a wider spray pattern?
Not that i am aware of, its just in my way
Very nice model.
Awesome work man, Keep it up
Does the painting magnify, the color silver because you give it before the yellow?
Great color choice! 👌🏼
Can u show all of your tools that u use ???
Where do you find these models? I love to check out what other imports they have!
My webshop
The Scalemodeling Channel thank you!
Did you sand down the base silver coat with 600 grid sandpaper too, before applying the yellow color?
No. Do not sand color coats those scratches will remain visable
Evan shanks’ evo is nardo grey now though? That and he has a wide body kit on it
Inspired by and replica are not the same thing ;) his also was not pearl yellow or had a grey roof....
The Scalemodeling Channel okay my bad I missed that in the video, I almost crapped myself when you said his name because I watch him too
Very nice color . Where are you from?
Holland
The Scalemodeling Channel we live so close to each other im from belgium
The Scalemodeling Channel after this model could you try to do a plane? Please😁
Is it possible to buy one of your Works?
What's are the benefits of using sanding sponge over paper?
It forms to the parts better therefore is easier to use as it does not change the shape of the parts
Nice!
What does the sanding sponge do?
sand the parts
I might sound dumb but is it that really important to prime it first?
Yes
Why ?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_paint
The primer is the first coat to be applied. The main functions of the primer are to act as a leveler and protector, and to make the base coat easier to apply to the component to which it is applied. The primer serves several purposes. It serves as a leveler, which is important since the cab often has marks and other forms of surface defect after being manufactured in the body shop. A smoother surface is created by leveling out these defects and therefore a better final product. It serves as a protector, the primer will protect from corrosion, heat differences, bumps, stone-chips, UV-light, etc. It also improves ease of application by making it easier for paints to stick to the surface, a more varied range of paints can be used.
The silver can be apply in first for any colour the give more shiny or not?
romano nino its not for shine. Its for the brightness of the color

The Scalemodeling Channel oh, my bad, didn't pick up that it was inspired. LOL
I would have gone with just plain silver, but then again I am a boring person.
