Killing off all the major Goa'uld was the worst decision the creators ever made, especially Nirrti since her genetic engineering plot would have been much better than the awful decision to make "The Ancients" human. The Goa'uld were where this show started, and the best plots involved them when they were threatening and in power. They had menace and mystique, something the Ancients destroyed as soon as they were explained.
Been a while since I watched my DVDs, but I remember really liking Nirrti...she did a lot of the "grunt/dirty work" herself. She always seemed more physically active/involved in her projects than other Goa'uld. Would have liked to see her survive longer to be honest. She was a good character.
The funny thing is, if Anubis had waited until later to come back, they might very well *have* been able to permanently *kill* him; the Ori were Ascended beings as well, and SG-1 managed to kill *all* of them, by sending the Sangraal through to their home galaxy-- in fact, unless I'm mistaken, it is in fact later confirmed that the Sangraal managed to kill every single last Ori (save Adria, but she was a special case-- and she ended up going the way of Anubis; locked in eternal combat).
Actually, no-- because he IS half-Ascended, Anubis literally *cannot* be killed (or at least not at that point in time; Merlin's weapon to kill Ascended beings, the Sangraal, hadn't been completed yet). Anubis himself (in guise of Jim), said as much. However, Oma replied, "No, but I can fight you." And that is exactly what she is going to do for the rest of eternity-- and since Anubis will have his hands full battling Oma, he won't be able to do or affect anything on *this* plane of existence.
Technically, Anubis wasn't a system lord which was why he could attack Earth without violating the Asgard treaty. He was bartering the destruction of Earth for entry to the System Lords. Besides, the Antarctic battle did not kill Anubis, he possessed a cosmonaut at the ISS and infiltrated Stargate Command to escape and was later fought to a stalemate by Oma.
He was during this assault. They voted him in for 'destroying' the Tok'ra in that two-parter in Season 5, with Osiris as his proxy. We never see that acceptance revoked, just the other System Lords banding together to fight his growing power, which is System Lord 101 and how they spend most of their long lives. Though given Fail Safe is the very next episode, he'd likely already set the asteroid on the collision course by that stage, allowing him to preemptively claim Earth's upcoming defeat as well. Possibly before, but definitely after probing Thor's mind, Anubis knew that the Treaty was a bluff and that the Asgard lacked the power to enforce it. And that his upgraded shields were effective against at least their main ship of the line at the time. So there was no threat of them interfering. And Earth was also on the verge of finding advanced Ancient Tech which could have posed a threat to him, so he had to attack. Plus, even if he wasn't a System Lord, it is on the other SLs to prevent rogue parties attacking the Protected Planets. Otherwise the treaty as a whole is nullified and the Asgard are free to attack them. They would only have gotten away with it in the case of the Asteroid as that is a 'natural disaster'. The cosmonaut then asked to be transfered to Stargate command where he eventually escaped through the Stargate after causing a fair bit of confusion and mayhem.
Actually there's a plot hole there, created in season 10: The device that neutralizes ascended beings. It would have been nice if the device was capable of setting a radius so they could take out a single ascended being. Would have made the plot more compelling.
A little question about Anubis: but his definite disappereance doesn't happen with Oma Desala? I remember that in the battle of Antarctica he simply loses the clothe who helps him to conserve a humanoid form, but his essence survives; he will not die, but he is engaged to an eternal fight with Oma Desala. @@tyrannicpuppy And that's much later in the series. Anubis left the System Lords when he attempted to ascend. The first encounter between SG-1 and Anubis was when he was trying to re-establish himself as he had been partially pushed out of ascension. When Baal was introduced, Anubis had already effectively nerfed the System Lords leading to Baal being able to assert himself. Watch the bloody series and you'll see that you're making crap up to support your cognitive bias.
I loved the way the Goa'uld spoke.
You missed the most important one: Ra.
Part 1 is A to N and Ra is in Part 2 R to Y
Oh Dirty Nirrti, the sexiest Goa'uld.
When it gets to nirrti it should of put darth sidious in when he was choking them
She killed hundreds of our people and she intends to do the same to us
*force choking part*
Darth sidious:use your aggressive feelings boy let the heat burn inside you let it fuel you embrace the full power of the dark side
Quartermile 18 *should have
Cool !!! Thank you!
You could have posted another videos of the many deads of Baal.
Poor Nirrti, killed by the degenerates she created.
Poor Nirrti nothing! She had that coming. She got off easy.
Or were they sith lords? :)
Damn, he just darth vadered nirrti
Aziru: Oh, this is freedom! This is great! Now you can call me Aziru the free man!
Ronac: Not so fast, Cronus.
Teal’c: Father.
Ronac: Son.
(They hug together)
Cronus: (mad scientist voice) What happened?
Nirrti: (female voice) I command you... What happened? My voice. It’s back. Thank you, Old Ones. Pleasant Dreams.
Apophis, in the end, got completely obliterated. It's what you get for coming back from the dead two times. Three's a charm.
That Nirri 's really got a rack .. what a waste.
+david jones Those Gou'ald symbiotes can even make female host's breasts bigger ! forget about implants. :)
Actually that was just her host that had a great rack.
Too bad she had to die with her :(
if i was jonas when she was flirting with him i would of gotten at least one good fuck in. she defiently seemed to be down for it. this a being who has gotten thousands of years of experience, for a man who remembers everything he could of at least used this as a learning experience.
dragonhatcher12 haha
david jones devil in a blue dress
What about the system lords we have either never seen or heard, or only seen briefly, or have heard of in passing?
Anubis didn't died there
He can't die so oma desalla is fighting him
Michel Burke
But it was the end of him fighting us on our plane of existence.
+@@kevinpogue7294 No, after the destruction of his fleet during the Antarctic battle, Anubis possessed a Russian Cosmonaut when his mothership's debris passed near the ISS. The cosmonaut then asked to be transfered to Stargate command where he eventually escaped through the Stargate after causing a fair bit of confusion and mayhem.
I had forgotten about that, but I recently saw that episode again, sorry.
Actually there's a plot hole there, created in season 10: The device that neutralizes ascended beings. It would have been nice if the device was capable of setting a radius so they could take out a single ascended being. Would have made the plot more compelling.
There's no need to fear,,,, Underdog is here !
And I hope not to be too pedant, but the Ba'al seen here is not one of his clones? If I don't remember badly the true Ba'al dies in the alternate timeline killed by Qetesh and in the past by Mitchell when he return into the past to restore history.
See you soon.
Guido.
Anubis didn't die like that he is in an eternal bttle with Oma desala.
Also you missed Ra, Yu, Osiris, Sokar, Tanith, Qetesh, Klorel and Hathor.
And of if you can count it Teal'cs symbiot Junior.
Tanith was an infant, nowhere near a system lord.
same guy.
Part 1 is A to N and Part 2 is R to Y
were you playing on the universal music machine back when the chopper arrived?
I'm surprised they never did anything with those mutants during the Ori arch. Thy were essentially priors themselves but not bound to the Ori.
because they used Nirrti's machine to return themselves back to normal
since i haven´t seen all episodes,i do wonder of what race were those two facing Nirrti
Ba'al alone could take up an entire video.
The staff weapon, ingenious!
Anubis had Lord that known for destorying planet..but he too had died in Earth sys. now twenty to thirty years battle is upon us....
The actress that played Nirrti was hot!
Step one. Get a big stick
Step two. Be prepared to use big stick
Step three. Hope lots of of people dont throw lots of stones.
Congratulations you are now a system lord.
I feel bad for the person the Apophus Goa’uld infected.
Why are the Goa uls named only after pagan deities, why are the pagan deities doomed as bad characters? Is this in order to not offend present major religions?
me encanto este video waoo
Thank you.
What's sad is how much overkill O'Neill (Two L's) did with Anubis and the Ancient Drones. I mean, could have halved the number launched and still won it seems and had some leftover.
Ba'al and Vala were the lucky ones. Their hosts got to live.
Nirrti Kind of looks like Michael Jackson 🤔
Does SyFy still Own Stargate SG-1 ? If they do, they should make a reboot... it's such a fun show. Build it up keep working on it...
Even Star Trek is earning millions every month just by existing.
Nirṛti (निरृति) is the Hindu goddess of deathly hidden realms and sorrows, one of the dikpāla ("guardians of the directions"), representing the southwest.

That show has this name.
Your arrogance blinds you, Lord Nirrti.
Anubis beamed out at last minute
Queen Elizabeth II is Apophis. She is the Goa'uld Queen - - - > google (pictures): "Cleopatra's Needle London" and "queen elizabeth throne"
after Anubis is Fleet was destroyed he ascended to a higher plane of existence after that he possessed some of the Sg1 and nearly blew up the base but he was defeated by an ancient
Queen song one bite dust
Ur right, superweapon can't kill anubis because he is half ascended. And you can see that he is still alive when replicators attacked milkyway.
What is that that Orc commander from Minas Tirith doing here?
I liked Nirrti. It would have been very interesting if her human manipulation would be continued.
Was that the last ball?
Apophis came to Earth attack Stargate base 20_30 year ago..had search for queen..bluff our way out of an attact we could not defend..
Well done
Apophis survived as he appears in a much later episode
How many people died with Apophis? It seems like he crashed in a pretty populated area.
I get it, it's really difficult to kill a parasite but not impossible!
You wouldn't think 2 ugly beings would be good guys the ones with telepathic powers...
So did Bal’s host live?
it was less killed more fought to an eternal standstill.
Anubis was killed by Oma
It's pronounced Obama
No, he can't be killed. She occupied him for eternity
He can be.. If he was killed by another "high" creature.
Ondřej Kališ A lot of'em, in that case. Maybe the Others could kill an ascended, but certainly not Oma alone
She didn't kill him, only held him for eternity.
Nirrti looks kinda like Weir from SGA
so baal why did you have that toad of a jaffa shout so much?
i'd let Nirrti be my god every night
Not if yer dead after the first night lol
@@paulmichaelfreedman8334 lol
Those abs 😍
The Goa'uld will rise again.
No one suffer worse death than Apophis. He got eaten by replicator. Imagine get dumped into a river of Piranhas
I simply love Stargate 😱😱😱😱😱😍😍😍😍
kinda wish you did this in chronological order not alphabetical
Remind me of the Borg with better weapons a load of Powerful Spaceships and many Soldiers on many Planets yet us Humans walk away hero like without a scratch.
