It’s ok to miss and yearn for your old self but when you’ve accepted the new version of you, the stronger, intuitive, tougher and raw version, you’ll be empowered believe me. When I was a new mom it was weird but I literally felt smarter and wiser as soon as my baby came out. Like I suddenly gained credibility because I grew and nurtured a baby inside me and pushed it out of me and now it’s dependent on me 100% to survive. I felt super! Yes, the extra weight and the body changes are frustrating but the knowledge you gain from motherhood is very empowering and worth it. Enjoy every minute because the baby phase goes by in a flash. I wish there was a way I could’ve bottled the newborn scent of my baby I miss it so much.❤️
I had the crying spells too the first three weeks postpartum my OBGYN told me it’s postpartum blues (caused by hormonal changes). BF was the hardest part and if I could go back, I would tell myself not to pressure myself way too much. I BF for only 6mos because my work is very demanding but ya know what BF or FF, I am lucky because my baby had never been to a hospital (due to some illnesses) just once and not even because she was sick but because she got dehydrated (she refuses to drink her milk due to jetlagged from US to PH). Don’t let anyone outside noise get into you. A well fed baby is still the best.
ganyan talaga Ms.Vern, after giving birth may 180 degree turn.. Order of priority changes. single- myself married- myself and my husband family- baby -> husband -> myself hahaha. sige lang, cherish the moment kasi mabilis lang sila lumaki :)
Hi Momma! Nathan is so cute! Congratulations to u both. I feel so nostalgic listening to you. Don't worry about what others might think about your way of raising your son, you know best. Also, I am that kind of mom too, 😂😅 separation anxiety is REAL. I also watch my baby as much as I could through cctv 😂 Furthermore, whether you mix feed or breastfeed, a fed and healthy baby is BEST. I used a formula milk, when I mixed fed my baby, which made me able to switch from my milk (breastmilk) to formula with no problem from my baby. If you ever decide to mix feed, ask your pedia which milk would help you to do so. You can do this Momma!!! ❤❤❤
Awh, my heart is so full watching this vlog! Congratulations to you and your fam. Nathan is so blessed to have parents like you and Ben. Sending all the love to you and your fam as you embark on this journey. ❤

Congrats ! 🎊🎈🧸 Nathan has his dad’s body as I can see him moving in just his pampers, lol. Nursing is a beautiful thing & a lot self denial adjustment until your routine becomes 2nd nature self care will comeback …
I have been struggling with breastfeeding positions, and my firstborn son is always crying because he can't latch properly. This has been a source of stress for me, which is why I have turned to mixed feeding.😢
Always put wipes or something to cover or any diaper cloth his private everytime u change diapers so no accidents peeing your face because he is a boy you know I'm talking about ..I have a son so I know it happen to me before ..I'm just concerned to u and Ben..
Mommy, try to pump every 2 hours, even if no milk is coming out. I did this 3 years ago because they say that our body’s milk production is like a brain-it learns the routine and adjusts to produce milk at the right times and speeds when you follow a schedule. Back then, I only pumped when my breasts felt full and hard. But after talking with other mothers, I found that pumping every 2 hours, or even every 30 minutes, really helps. My baby was underweight at the time, and I was so upset. I drank Milo, Energen, clams with malunggay soup, and all kinds of foods to boost my milk supply. Luckily, after a month, my milk production improved, but it was a lot of hard work. I had to let go of my old self and embrace my new self, even though I gained weight and fat. I truly salute you, Mommy! As mothers, we sacrifice so much, and we often sacrifice ourselves.

2 years post partum and I’m still having identity crisis. Cheers to the new us while we’re mourning for the person we used to be.

Breast milk is still best for baby instead of milk formula
