I swear to god, when this cutscene first happened with the black screen and a text box popping up with "Braaaad." i genuinely thought Buzzo was about to jumpscare me until I realized, oh goddammit, its nern
@@NuniaBiznazThe implication is that the "Polka Dot Man" that Rod was ranting about was Yado, and that he was snooping around pre-Flash Olathe long enough that he had an entire Urban Legend made about him.
I love how you’re most likely gonna this conversation next to Charmy, a mutant that will kill you and your guys if you fuck up, and after your party’s been beaten to shit by snakes. Thus, you waste healing items on Brad, and if you die to Charmy or on the return trip through the snake field. You get sit through this WHOLE. FUCKING. SCENE. AGAIN. 10/10 Life ruining experiencez
Personally I had 95% feeling that it was gonna be played for jokes, and I was hoping it wouldn’t cause I did wanna know more. But hey, we learned some creepy new details about Yado
I don't get that there are folks that actually did not enjoy this monologue. I think this is a close second to be a best campfire dialogue in the definitve edition and the funniest one. The way how the lore got expanded with the save of Nern's way of telling is so well! Those are whole, authentic, unfiltered 10 minutes of Nernin' time with scissor peddling hag, CCC and polka dot man. Truly a life uplifting experience.
i like what nern says about brad turning into a joy pill himself, i like how it shows that nern is aware of his surroundings to an extent, even if hes a dumbaaaaaaaasss
Rodney's the name of his theme, Hart's actual name is unknown The reason it's called Rodney is because it was supposed to be used against a guy actually named Rodney from a cancelled fangame
I wonder if the joy pill dialogue is foreshadowing one of the parts in Brad's nightmare, where that one deformed Marty looks oddly similar to a joy pill.
i listened to the whole 9 minute thing and then got impatient and started skimming over it and saw "polka dot" and i got so mad that i literally skipped the only important part of the conversation
I had a bug in this cutscene that made every dot and comma take 30 seconds each to load in the dialogue, making this 10 minute scene last TWO HOURS.
A life ruining experience
Honestly that’s probably what Brad felt every time he had to hear nern tell a story
Finally… an accurate recreation.
friend, could you solve that bug? I still can't and I suffer every time I enter a fucking bonfire
@@Pluraliste turn on instant text in the options.
it's funny that once again nern manages to dispel some serious lore by complete accident with the polka dot man
oh FUCK
Considering I always assumed Nern was either the same age if not older than the bad doctor.
The Yado family had weird clothing traditions.

Where/what it is, precisely? It's been a very long time since I've played this game and it isn't clicking at the moment.

10 minutes of Nern talking. Honestly I was expecting it to be longer. Still not disappointed

It's called the painful for a reason that's for sure
i bet everyone in trailer though this would drop nuclear bomb of a lore
I mean, it did.
Nern loved his wife for who she was, not her looks.
Personally I had 95% feeling that it was gonna be played for jokes, and I was hoping it wouldn’t cause I did wanna know more.

Nah, we all knew where a new Nern conversation would lead.
And it was funny as hell.
@@jtlego1 Yeah. And yet it _still_ provided lore that took us all by surprise.
4:03 “shut up you scissor peddling hag” well I’m adding that to my list of favourite insults.
I’m so happy these new scenes feel like they’re from 7 years ago.

i like that it shows that nern is aware of a lot of important things even if he's too much of a moron to give them proper attention
Damn, Nern wasn't feeling very chatty I suppose.
the fact this conversation is an event and is unskipabble is crazy
i find it cozy though
9:48 is where the interesting part (probably) begins
idk if it the sprite that are so close, but i like to imagine that nern rest his head on top of brad's head, using him as a pillow xd
Man, Brad is a good listener
Look at this wastelander, look at his “I really wish I was anywhere but here right now” button

lol - im the only one that unironically enjoys Nerns monologue?
So are you going to upload all campfire conversations?
That's the plan, tho i'm discovering these as i play, so it may take a bit before all of them are uploaded as i still need to find each one.
