I've listened to about 6 or 7 different versions of Pompeii between studio recordings/acoustic/live sessions. This is hands down the most breath-taking one. A studio recording with Ross, the banjo, and the trumpet NEEDS to happen.
Elliot Corrigan-Chaillet the acoustic version on their vevo channel is SO good tho ! like that moment when they all start really jamming and you see the smiles creep onto their faces cause they're just seriously living in the moment and appreciating what they're creating.. I die every time
I first heard this version in my brothers laptop about 7 yrs ago..then I forgot about the song..suddenly I remembered it few days ago and searched for it like crazy..finally found it..feeling so nostalgic..my days of teenage have passed.now I'm an adult with so many responsibilities..but the song remains the same.isn't it just wonderful?
I'm not saying that the studio version is bad because it's incredible, but this is absolutely gobsmackingly amazing, especially when you consider they probably hadn't rehearsed together that much. When I first listened to this version, I was speechless for about thirty second afterwards and all I could do was hit replay.
We lost our beautiful Mom last April... This song is so heartwrenchingly beautiful. Specially this version. ❤ And it helps a bit. Thank you for bringing this song into our world! 🙏🏻
I've listened to all the versions of this song out here on youtube (including the new Fragments one), and this is by far the best one. I always keep returning to it, just so clear and pure with the violin and everything.
Just got home from the Manchester Albert Hall gig. I have no words.......on the anniversary Manchester felt so much pain you guys gave us our moment to honour our lost. I cried the entire way through this. Thanks boys 😘
Can't say enough how awesome these guys where in Florida this weekend at the stopover! Definitely my fourth favorite act among all around amazing acts (behind Edward, Mumford, and Fogerty of course).
I saw them open for Daughter on their U.S. tour last night. Very good band with a big, uplifting, atmospheric sound. I could definitely see them achieving success on par with, say, Of Monsters and Men.
He tours with mumford most places they go :) This was taken at the Mumford and Sons Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover so he was their with them, and performed as a guest with Bears Den

+Elliot CC God version was one I could add to my playlists/spotify :(
This is a fabulous version! I agree with you!

I actually think this is one of the greatest performances of anything ever. Just incredible.
This is definitely the best version of the song I have heard by them
the guy on the violin is actually insane!
Probably one of the best out there!!!
+Steffan Davies Didnt he play at the mumford and sons red rocks concert as well?
He did, along with the violinist from noah and the whale

The violin really adds a lot, beautiful!

This is by far the best version of this song. I wish that they would release a recording/mp3 of it.
possibly the most beautiful thing i have ever heard live.
I’ve watched this video so many times and it’s honestly STUNNING
Such a fantastic song and band. Love
That was an amazing song! i love how it builds
I think I love these guys, omg!
They graced us with a stopover in Troy, Ohio. It was an awesome festival
Absolutely beautiful, well done to you 3 men

The violin adds so much to the song, wow....
Amazing amazing
Simply beautiful 💖
Such a great opener! I had the pleasure of seeing them in Troy. Wow, blown away. :)
This is obviously the best version of this song.
Love this song
Saw these guys open for Mumford and Sons and they were Amazing!!!
Timeless.
Am your new fan guys..!!! Absolutely amazing...the music's so 'intense' yet soothing hats off dudes. :)

ross adds so much to this song,it was amazing anyway, but he made it even more so!
Just saw these guys in Simcoe, it was fantastic. Their drummer is a one man music machine.
Unreal. On repeat.
I just got back from the Guthrie Stopover and it was so AWESOME! Bear's Den was one of my favorites.
I just saw them supporting Matt Corby in Adelaide - they were amazing! So lovely as well, such a warm stage presence
SOOOOO GOOD !!!
2021 and still playing it
Great sound! Looking forward to seeing Bear's Den at the Mumford & Sons concert in Burgettstown PA!
I want to know too! Saw this live @ Klipsch. It was great.
fantastic live!!
SunnyJTcs i could play it live if you want ;)
Just saw these guys in Noblesville last night. They were amazing. Great opener for Mumford.
I saw them preform tonight in Cincinnati! The drummer really is amazing. He also looks kind of like Benecio Del Torro.
Wonderful song
The violinist is awesome!
Stunning. What a message!
The best version
Great performance.
I love it.
Majestic.
This makes me happier than I know how to express
Hmm.
Wow!
amazing.
After all this time, This will always still be my fav with Ross Holmes :)
we saw them twice, once to open for mumfords, then we went to see them when they opened for daughter. twice in 60 days!
What I love about folk is its simplicity. It's trying too hard like a lot of the other genres. Keep it simple folks!
I saw them open for Daughter on their U.S. tour last night. Very good band with a big, uplifting, atmospheric sound. I could definitely see them achieving success on par with, say, Of Monsters and Men.
Ross Is an absolute Legend :) xx
Muy bueno
Please have a concert in AZ!
here in 2018 !
I wish these guys would look at my playlist - young girl sings this great song, she is a pretty new artist and I know she likes BearsDen
Yeah they killed it.
I totally went to that!
I know this an old video but love them
Need one of thoughs hats
Violinist killed it!
I wish this song was on their EP
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did that Violinist work with Mumford and Sons?
He tours with mumford most places they go :) This was taken at the Mumford and Sons Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover so he was their with them, and performed as a guest with Bears Den
Thanks :)
speechless
Perfeito 3
Fuck me sideways, this is so fucking good
+Ezra Abbas don't mind if i do
+iheartcello eh lol
Me in the yellow party hat at 1:10 daymmmmm so good
Ditto...and agreed!
tune
Anybody got any idea what type of belt Ross is wearing at 2:09?
It honestly looks like a suitcase strap
Bring Ross homes touring with you if you haven't already asked him makes the song whole :)
***** I think Mumford is having him..
+Luke Austin I agree, he fits in way better with Bears Den than he does Mumford and Sons!
People love the campy commerciality.
They're going to make it big, just wait.
👏👍😁
Link to the violinist please!
How do I get this song! Why/when will they release this on iTunes?
ahahah ross with the nasa t shirt
mivan-e?
2:42 is the prettiest girl that can like this kind of music.
And if she ever sees this I want her to know she is the prettiest girl in the world.
You don't say?
Fuck. Life is still good.
red wings???
But I Love You What I Can Do
Far king twa hats clapping along! What's wrong with these people?
Spoiling a perfectly good recording of an exquisite performance.
Greg millers twin
This will change your life and inspire. Their over produced and commercially diluted album will not!
Jim Smith I disagree with the latter half of your statement
Thought it's Bastille's Pompeii yikes
Pretty sure he was just saying 'she's pretty, but I prefer punk girls more' or something...
Marcus Mumford got fat there with the violin.
