    What a good crowd for this match. I hope Predator does the event every year in PR. Anyone from Honduras in attendance? TY for sharing World Billiard TV.

    I’m a fan of all pool disciplines but there’s always been something truly special about 8 ball in my eyes. So glad to see that Predator are keeping it alive at the top level!

    Is the commentator mad at Loukatos or something? Seems like he couldnt help but express his disapproval for how the guy plays.

    Why is your overhead camera shot out of focus?? It is hard to make out the ball features!

    It seems to take longer to rack the balls , than to shoot them in .

    It's fascinating how the "announcer" (who has lost & is out of the tournament) tries to predict what the players will do & is wrong 99% of the time! Kind of sums up his abilities both as a player & announcer.

    • @bleearg13
      @bleearg13 Год назад +3

      That's a bit unfair. There is a general way to do runouts that most pros can see right away but some players have their own style which I think is what makes the game fascinating. I've listened to Earl Strickland commentate matches where he does the same thing and gets it wrong a lot, too, and I wouldn't say Earl is a poor player. Sore loser, but not a poor player.

      @@bleearg13 The truth is often unfair. I understand your point but I stick to my assesment of this announcer.

      @@poolhub89 it is literally their jobs as to call out what they think the player might do. Just because he lost, doesnt mean he doesn't know what he is talking about. He has actually been pretty knowledgeable in his assessments. And fairly accurate. You sound soiled.

    • @poolhub89
      @poolhub89 Год назад

      @@robertvasquez1845 You obviously didn't analyze the "announcing" from a non-bias perspective. You are entitled to your opinion albeit wrong. Not to mention you are obviously inept in numerous aspects of pool because you think their "assessment" is accurate when it is flawed on every level..

      Agree with Todd. Contrast it with Jeremy Jones who shows remarkable insight, and Chris Melling who is also great at knowing the mind of top players, and also Niels Feijen. But, to be fair, some commentators don't even bother watching the game or analyzing the layout. This was annoying but tolerable compared to a guy whose name starts with a J for example. And yes Earl is usually wrong too, but he brings a lot of color that people seem to like. If the video were a little sharper (and no one ever messed with the traditional ball colors or put their own logos on the balls), I'd just turn down the volume.
      There might be a market for a guy like Jeremy selling overlay/replacement commentary through youtube - it would have to be free for viewers, supported by RUclips with just a button "Click here to switch to alternate commentary by Jeremy Jones", and it would have to be worthwhile for the commentators (perhaps by audio promotions with a share of the proceeds going to the commentator.) Such a feature would apply throughout RUclips, for example by independent language dubbings.

    This announcer is assuming that everyone takes as long as him to figure out a pattern. Some players don't need that long and taking too much time can fuck up their play style. Needs to shut up in that regard.
