I always use this strategy 😂, but I only choose 52 week highs without bothering whether it crossed 52 week high or not in the past, but I always choose stock from nifty 100. And then I use various parameters. And focus on order book and news as well

Personally I feel many largecap stocks will provide muted returns from here on. Smallcaps appear to be more reasonably valued and can provide great returns. For instance, PCBL, RHI magnesita, Tube Investments, etc. All of these recent additions of mine are doing amazingly well.

Problem with this strategy is to have the mental resolve to hold through the ups and downs, the higher highs are only made when you hold the stock for an extended period of time. So gotta have the diamond hands, so upward or downward averaging can be done. Again got to factor in your own goals as well.

Why would anyone sell a Nestle or Asian paints I can suggest a better strategy that has worked very well for me Buy great stocks like Nestle Asian Paints when they have corrected around 20% from their recent highs. Add on every further 5% dips. (You may add on every 10% dip as wel...but such situations are less ) Keep booking profits in chunks in a rally. Final qty should be sold off at previous highs. Logic Great stocks would not stay long at lower levels. Do i get stuck for longer periods ? Yes. Sometimes . I bought Divis at 4500 (20% discount from its highs) Kept adding more qtys till 3450... But I am sure , divis will not take much time to reach its previous high again.
