You guys should really explore the northern Peninsula if you have time. It’s actually such an amazing experience, especially Gros Morne National park. The western Brooke boat tours is also an amazing experience. Some oddly named places on the northern peninsula include but aren’t limited too, Cow head, dead man’s cove, Nameless cove, savage cove. There’s a lot of exploring that can be done on the northern peninsula. I’d recommend L'Anse aux Meadows, it has some really cool Vikings stuff up there. I grew up in a small community up there, and believe you me, it’s a lot different then the Avalon peninsula. All the best on your travels!
I was born and raised in Ontario but my dad is from Newfoundland, and while he was still in Ontario I got to experience some of the culture from him. there was a shop in our local flea market that had souvenirs and snacks from Newfoundland that we were regulars of. Never been their myself but next year I'm planning on going with my friends to experience it and to see my dad again, havent seen him in about 10 years since he moved there. Hell I plan on moving down there when my girlfriend and I can afford it and starting a family.
Haha yes, Newfoundland is very unique in this way. This series is really great and gives a good look at aspects of Newfoundland that people don’t think to look at. Can’t wait to see what the same done for other provinces. Love watching these each week.
FYI guys, I live on Random Island. Lived and worked around the world, but Random Island is my favourite place. My hubby is Scandinavian and he loves Newfoundland and it's people. Enjoy your journey. I will follow along.

Hey Sprouht. I've been following along on your channel for quite a while now, and I must say, your content just keeps getting better and better. Hello I’m a Newfoundlander born and bred here my family and ancestors have lived here for centuries. I was born in a small town called cox cove which is also a very beautiful place with lots of scenery and very nice people also welcome to Newfoundland!
Shocked to see you guys visit Port De Grave ! I grew up in Bay Robert's before moving to St.Johns and every year during Christmas the big thing is to visit Port De Grave to see the lights. All the local fishermen decorate their boats and people from locals to non locals love it !. So far in this series you've been by my home, both in St.Johns and where I grew up . Having a grand time watching lol
🤣 Was lying down in front of the little lighthouse intentional? 🤣 I had to cancel my Newfoundland trip due to weather, but I'm hoping to get out there this year. I miss hearing Mike drop a bad dad joke 🦌😆 he used to do that at least once in his earlier videos.
Also wow I was laughing during this entire video because #hilarious. Also, I now want to visit all these random towns, you make them look so fun! ON MY WAY
I can’t wait for your Twillingate video! I spent so much time there this summer. I have family living there and some of the surrounding area as well. We stayed in Summerford while we were in NL, but I’m originally from the town of Lewisporte. I miss home so much! I’m so glad you got to experience NL. There’s so many beautiful places to explore there. Definitely go back if you get the chance! ❤️
I can see my nan and pop's house in your aerial view of the Harbour in Port de grave with the wharf. I grew up there in that very small village and can say 100% the people that live there love it. It's a very tightknit community and everyone helps everyone else out. I grew up skipping rocks off that pier and jigging for fish, catching crabs with my brother on the beach. So many memories.❤ BTW it's pronounced Port da grave by the locals haha.

Glad you enjoyed your visit but you said you were in the middle of nowhere when you were in eastern NL. Next time you should go to the great Northern Peninsula that is the definition of nowhere
That's a nice little place too, I like how the Irish loop passes through all those places especially Ferryland. I've had breakfast at that little diner in Witless bay, up from where people park and look out at the Ecological Reserve. I was enjoying the Pondhouse eatery in Bay Bulls till it closed down ☹.
