Goat yamcha saved the celeb
The devs had two choices. 1) make the character an LF (which they could've absolutely done, without needing to even change any animations [as you pointed out]), putting some slight pressure on them to make his kit actually competitively viable, or 2) make the character a regular sparking on a mega rising banner, and get away with giving him a terrible kit without much pushback. They went for option 2. They are addicted to making bad characters.
They need to add more sparkings, or maybe new rarity. Legends limited was supposed to be special now it feels like sparking anyway its way too many of them , we need alot of units so there is variety in pvp , now you meet top 5 units over and over again, and they need to remove leader slot , worst implementation ever ,

For a unit like this I really wish he had been a bit like Red Beast in the sense that he had a pre and post state. Have him be a support heavy character that brings a lot of utility to the team but the moment an ally dies he explodes into action to avenge them. Instead he's just a part of the bargain bin Saiyans of 2024 with Super Vegeta now which is a shame because his animations do look amazing.

Im SO glad they gave us another base Goku, didn't make him an LF, AND made him suck. Legends really knows what the players want.
Goku kind of has a pretty good disruptor kit for his offense. Mostly like a Yel Super 17 with support and with more stars would def see more use if 7 stars.

you really only need one copy though. you can use the sparkling power that you can get for playing the game and you get a lot.

I mean I they designed the Yamaha and goku to be run together strong start Yamcha and then sack him and goku comes in and cleans up. It’s kinda cool cause they designed him based off what he does in the anime, but in the beginning he looks like deadweight and double stroke cards in anti strike meta is questionable

I think this Goku would have been much better if the game wern't in such a pathetic hand holding state where units dont even require thought to use anymore. I do really like this unit but he just isn't anywhere near the meta units which is incredibly unfortunate. They should have given him much more to make him viable. Still an amazingly cool looking unit and animations though!
