What many people tend to forget is that the Catholic Church was actively supporting art(actual art, not a banana on a wall or abstract nonsense)and science throughout history.

The Vatican was never against anime. John Paul II blessed Pokemon like 30yrs ago so don't get fool by fake narratives pretending the church was ever opposing it. Only a bunch of individual Karens will try to put it down using their pretend high standard as cathos, prots, or orthos... but they're full of shit.
    Luce's great 😊

Protestants are also freaking out. Basically calling Luce the Antichrist and believing Luce is short for Lucifer. There is also the xenophobia due to them believing Anime is mostly sex and violence

There are a lot of Protestants who do not like "fun." It's a sad reality. I admit this.

@@StudioJakeas a traditionalist Catholic (i.e. someone who appreciates the Traditional Latin Mass and other pre-Vatican II stuff), those who showed animosity against Luce (pronounced as "loo-che") seemed to portray pseudo-Puritanical responses in the guise of traditionalism. I like her even if I don't dig her existence that much.
So yeah, Smokey Mike made a very good call.
