Puressence were so special. They deserved so much more recognition. They were a band that people adored. James Mudriczki was a beautiful talent, his voice is sublime. I have never seen them do a bad performance. A reunion gig would be amazing.
Best band I've Ever seen live, and I've seen Floyd, stones and many others,, James M rocks
Great to watch 👍🏻 I was stood back stage at this after being the support. Will have some backstage footage from this gig somewhere. Top night
Your footage would be great to see, please share when you have time 👍
This is wonderful, thanks for sharing. Every House On Every Street at about 30 mins is absolutely sublime.
I didn't make it to this Lowry gig but I did the one in 2004 and remember it being one of the best gigs I've ever seen.
I miss Puressence. They were a one off.
'Every House on Every Street' could easily be the best ever song Puressence did but not quite. The lyrics just great. Now for the encore. 'You Move Me' likely to be the third best ever song from Puresennce.
Shed 7 parr hall Warrington. Recall seeing these 4 scruffy looking mancs supporting them. Near distance into I suppose...I’ve never been so frozen and in awe of a sound before. I don’t think I blinked or moved for 15 minutes....I was and still am mesmerised
seen Puressence over 60 times live over the years, always had to travel as i am from Consett Co Durham, will always love them and always miss them, just to good to never make it, top band , the best from Manchester, fuck your Oasis
Me to, my first experience of puressence. What a band, gutted when they split
was I the balcony watching this. best gig ever
Great to see old Puressence gigs. Thanks for posting.
Thank You Thank You for this not the best ever filmed gig (but better than I would have ever done) although the sound is in mono it is still way better than most of the Puressence videos on you tube filmed on mobile phones with more audience volume than band. if a professional team had videoed this it would be regarded as one of the great concerts ever. The sound is still great however capturing the band at their best
Apparently there were a few people close to the band filming that night so there may be better versions out there. I'm not sure why it has only come across in mono, perhaps something to do with being an old camcorder recording. Unfortunately being fully zoomed in and resting on my knee I did get lost a few times when the lights dimmed! I'm glad to have a visual memory of the night though as it was a very special performance. A band very much missed.
Apologies...I have re-watched this since uploading....it doesn't have appeared to have transferred into stereo. Also...the filming starts rubbish but does it improve! Things were a bit basic back in 2003 on an old 8mm Sharp Viewcam with only 1 hours battery life!! Still a great gig though! Miss Puressence!! xx
never got what they deserved. the publiic gets what the public wants
For anyone dipping in to watch a little bit of this wonderful concert, I recommend 49 minutes in with Lowell's Sister shouting 'I love you Lowell' from the crowd into 'Moss Side Lonely' and 'Make Time'. Perfect Puressence.
