All three of those are great movies, unfortunately, Apt pupil is not available on Blu-ray so that is why I do not on it

    Hi Jim,
It’s your personal choice, I actually enjoyed “Creepshow 2” quite a bit, “The Dark half” one I never got around to watching 😬, “Salem’s lot” would be in my top 10, “1408” a underrated one.
Took me four viewings for me to appreciate “The Shining’
I much preferred the “It” remake to the original mini series.
“Christine” “Misery” “Creepshow” & “The Dead Zone” would also feature in my top 10
A Stephen King livestream we do have as a possibility at the end of the year.
    Difficult choice 🤔

I like the raft from Creepshow 2, and the other two stories aren’t horrible, but that cartoon kills me every time I see it and not in a good way🤣👍

Of the 28 King related films you have i have only 12. I noticed you don't have "Silver Bullet" (1985) My 3rd favorite Werewolf film after American Werewolf In London (1982), Ginger Snaps (2000) Sure in the end when you finally see the werewolf's full face, it looks very low budget, but it's still excellent.

Actually, I do have Silver Bullet and for some reason it wasn’t included in the rankings. I would put it around the middle of the pack, I enjoy it a lot. Thanks for sharing.👍

We'll just get this out of the way, right now = _Carrie_ 1976 is the best. There is no other. There will be no contest. The original Prom Queen is not Mary Lou. It's Carrie White! And she's taking that crown. You could fight her for it but it'll cost you... your life!
_Pet Sematary Two_ is terrible. But? _Sometimes They Come Back_ was much worse. Tied with _Storm of the Century, The Mist,_ and _The Shawshank Redemption_ for the worst Stephen King films.
I will never, ever watch _Dreamcatcher._ Not gonna happen. _The Dark Half_ is borderline unwatchable. Surprisingly worse than both Romero's _Land_ and _Diary of the Dead._ Both...
_The Lawnmower Man_ is... I only saw it once and that was enough. I say "was" because I plan to re-watch it soon. But I'm not expecting a miracle.
_Needful Things_ is fascinating for the same reason. It's bad but... how bad is it? The answer to that question continues to slip through my fingers.
Tobe Hooper is likely the reason _The Mangler_ is even slightly watchable. Although? If someone told me Stephen King got back on cocaine and shadow-directed this then paid people to cover that up? I would believe it.
_Tales from the Darkside: The Movie_ is actually pretty terrible.
_Thinner_ is what would happen if a sober person made _The Mangler._
_Cujo_ was a disappointment. Not bad. But disappointing.
_Firestarter_ is fun. Not good but fun. Amazing score, though!! Especially the tracks "Charly the Kid" and "Crystal Voice."
_1408_ was fine but it was not fun. A lot of hype.
Who doesn't like _Maximum Overdrive,_ I want names.
I recognize Mick Garris's 1997 re-do of _The Shining_ has major flaws. But, flaws and all? I find it engrossing. I do wish it had had more money, though. That firehose brought down the house... in the bad way.
_Salem's Lot_ (1979) is pretty okay.
All 3 of the _IT_ movies are fighting the same battle, how to tackle the book. The 1990 miniseries is just a wonderfully enjoyable attempt for 1989-1990. Mostly enjoyable as a time capsule. No one can say the 2017 film is lesser or more successful. I don't think any of the films did the novel justice. But they all tried and all 3 have virtues. Sadly? _Chapter Two_ made a lot of mistakes, so it's the only bad film.
_Creepshow 2_ is underrated... but not the "Raft" segment. "The Raft" is only watchable at best, not actually good.
_Sleepwalkers_ is a sad story = the characterization and story are a complete mess. But? Holy CRAP does it deliver on the horror! One of the best action-horror films I've ever seen, puts Peter Jackson's _The Frighteners_ to utter shame.
_Pet Sematary_ is the model for every bad Stephen King adaptation... But? It works... It's an anomaly for the ages. Like: Ritalin. It's more of a mood piece. Everything from the storytelling to the acting is either stinky rubber or old glue. But? It's like people who enjoy spicy food. It's painful but they like it. And I get why they like it.
Are we trashing _Cat's Eye_ ? Because I am not here for it.
I respect _The Dead Zone_ but I can't rank it higher than above _Pet Sematary._ In fact? I personally rank _The Tommyknockers_ higher as well.
I love _Misery_ but there are some tiny flaws with presenting Annie onscreen as a character. I love the film, unconditionally. But I can also admit it works better if we ignore things we SHOULD be paying attention to. If it were any other psychological film? We wouldn't be.
_Christine_ is so underrated, it's annoying. It is time to finally acknowledge how good that movie is.
_Silver Bullet_ is me kicking myself for my 20's and not realizing how good this really was.
_Creepshow_ is a genuine camp MASTERPIECE. Tonally tuned to perfection.
I am now physically too tired to keep going but... I have things to say about _Riding the Bullet, Children of the Corn, The Night Flier,_ and _The Running Man_ but... I'm too tired. (Who would'a thunk?)

I think a lot of the ways that people rank films in general is based on what portion of their life they saw it. There is always a nostalgia factor involved. Like I said, with all of my rankings, it’s all about personal taste.

@@jimtatro6550 Message received and filed. (Though I was born - literally - after Lil' Wayne and only 2 months before Nicki Minaj so... What Nostalgia?) Just don't let _Carrie_ hear you say these things, I do not feel as though she'll be anywhere near as forgiving...
And, frankly, why should she be? I don't blame her at all.
