I did this rebuild and my lineup going into first game of 2020 season is Ja Morant, klay Thompson, Zion Williamson, jusuf nurkic and Clint capela at centre. Off the bench I have Lonzo ball, josh hart, doumbyaya, Meyers Leonard and Jahlil Okafor. I also signed jr smith and Kyle korver both on one year deals simply so I can train Lonzo and ja’s shooting badges.

yo, love the video but the protection on the 2021 first is actually a reverse top 8. meaning if it’s outside the top 8 the pelicans get the 2022 first unprotected, keep 2021 if it’s inside the top 8. I know 2k doesn’t let you do that, but just mentioning it so if you rebuild in future you can leave it unprotected maybe.
If the Lakers can’t get the right tile players around LBJ and AD they might not be as good as some people think. On the other hand the Pelicans if they can get a middle tier free agent they gonna be good

You can go into team intel and try to find team that are set as “selling.” They are more likely to trade their stars/bad contracts for next to nothing. One season I saw the warriors selling and I was able to put Steph Curry in the trade finder and trade for him.
Feel like alot of people overlook Ingram. He's the same age and Lonzo going in to his 4th year. He's really gonna grow with this pelicans team. Perhaps even an all star this year along with Zion 👍

Then trade jrue holiday eventually for a center if you want to possibly develop reddish in the game.
