  • Cycling Gettysburg Battlefield! Today we tour the historic American civil war battlefield in Pennsylvania on bicycle. My first of hopefully many cycling tours of battlefields and the civil war trails.

    this is my favorite weather for cycling, and with Geetysburg empty like that... stunning views, nice video!

      Yeah cold weather is awesome. Just dress properly and your GTG! And for those of us who brave the weather are often rewarded like we were on this day. A amazing location all to our selfies. That would NEVER happen in summer 😊 Thank you. 🙏

    This is a fantastic video and excellent experience! You did a wonderful job of explaining everything!! I think riding the bike made it so “real” now I want to come up from Alabama with my gravel bike and do the ride!!! Much thanks!!!!!!

    excellent tour and narrative on the history of the battlefield, a place where so many gave there life to your nation

      War is terrible. Bloody. Sad and usually doesn’t do any good but still we romanticize it. I don’t know where that comes from. To be enamored with death and violence. But something about bravery that chokes me up. Not to mention the landscape. Trying to envision just what happened in an exact spot we now stand. I’m just drawn to it.

    You do these kind of videos so well Mr Rock. Entertaining and informative, I agree no substitution for being there but this video covered all the essentials of the battle and history of Gettysburg. Well done, have a great weekend. Atb Anthony👍👍

      Thank you Anthony :) I always cringe when I review the footage when I talk this much, but I was past the point of no return. Especially when I pretend to be a dollar store historian. Regardless, it was fun. I appreciate it as always good sir!

      Yeah man. Still so much more to see. Of course I gotta go back. Culps Hill, Day 1 battle and can’t wait for round to open back up. Like I said we’ll ride! We’re building our Steel Calvary 😊
