Interesting. My situation is opposite of yours. I am married to a Greek and we live in Denmark. Our case was easier because we first lived in Greece, before moving to Denmark. My husband being an EU citizen was a big advantage for me in Denmark. The case was treated as an EU case, and I never had any problems getting residency, and eventually citizenship. I hear that Danes married to foreigners have a harder time than we had, some even have to move to Malmo, Sweden. I also experienced that the Greek process is rather complicated. We processed my Visa in Kenya, and the Embassy staff were great.
Hi Pamestin,I’d take it that this is your name or please correct me if this your Nom-De-Plume. Anyhow,my name is Alex ,live in Sydney Australia, new on your channel and contemplating retiring in Crete. My wife is of Greek ancestry and holds a Greek Passport and our marriage is registered in Greece. She is not interested in moving out of Australia but I am,mainly because I love Europe and especially Travelling. I’ve been to Crete a couple of times during summer and loved it especially Chania. I don’t know where you and your husband set roots in Crete. With your experience and general knowledge you have acquired over the years, where would you advise me to settle taking into account that Health Providers and Hospitals are of importance to me,just in case. Looking forward to hearing from you and all future videos.
Hi Alex, my name is Rose, I use pamestinkriti because that's the name of my blog, and also the name of this RUclips channel. To answer your question, I think any place near the cities, like Chania or Heraklion, will work well for you because you will be near the health main facilities
Hi, i came across ur channel today am from Kenya too.my question is i want to travel to Greece soon coz of COVID-19 there are still restrictions especially from EastAfrica.i just wanna know now are Kenyans allowed to visit Greece or still no.coz am seeing on the website as if the embassy is still not issuing visas to tourists.please confirm to me the lastest about Kenya and Greece
The best thing to do would be to call the embassy because sometimes they take time to update the information on the website, just call them so you can get the current state of things.
You two definitely have a unique story! Thanks for sharing. What do you and your husband do for a living, and are you doing the same sort of work as when you were both in Kenya? I work in international business, so it’s possible my work could lead me to a new country. For now, and before the pandemic travel restrictions, I transitioned work to mostly remote. If I need to return to the office, I can only hope it’s a wonderful place like Greece.
Hello , I like your videos . I have a question , I'm living China . I really want to find a job in Greece and move there the rest of my life . I was trying sent out some CV on web sites , doesn't work . Is there a way I can find a job even a seasonal job ? so that I can get a visa , step by step move to Greece ? please give you some guidance
Hello mamaa., My question might be out of this topic but just allow me to ask... when marrying a foreigner in Kenya, is it necessary to have impediment and divorce decree from foreigners side or the divorce will just be enough?... In case of impediment, are they supposed to be two one of them indicating the divorce status is more than two years and the other one indicating the person is free to marry?
