I finally bought 2 off Ebay that actually arrived from China (johosontony). The little mech robot is pretty darn cool and has good joints. Laserwave is quite a bit smaller than I was expecting - people, notice its size in his hands. The clear purple under the silver plate had a hard time tabbing in gun mode, but a bit of clear nail polish fixed it. One of the gun handle c shaped joints already has plastic stress, so be careful just like in the video. The only real disappointment is the silver swivel at the end of the barrel - both didnt fit in the holes and just fall off with ease. I had to use a 7/32" drill bit to gently hand bore the holes a bit bigger so they would fit, then use nail polish to give the nubs some friction so they would stay in. They're going to fall off and get lost. Not an important piece and most wont notice it missing, but it knocked me down from a 8.5/10 to prob a 7/10 experience trying to fix it. I'd still recommend it, if you can find it in the MF35 with mini mech combo.
A great figure with excellent play value but I wish he were twice as tall!

Cool video. As much as I love Shockwave, I feel like the toy could have been a bit larger, less plastic-y, and maybe a deeper, glossier purple finish. I'd probably want him to be big enough to hold properly as a gun in gun mode. Still great to see the character getting a decent toy though.

One question: Why in Japanese translate Shockwawe change to Laserwawe? I'm understand changed name Optimus Prime to Convoy, because it's named easy to say in Asian countries. But what Laser? What is transformers discrimination?))
