I remember watching my cousins play this when I was but a battle baba and presuming them to be fighting game Gods. Now I see them as Barons of Falsities that shrouded my childhood with deception and untruths. Damn them and their Clay of Lies.
All the normals are stubby, characters get stunned in two seconds, and if you get someone in a corner and throw them you can just repeatedly throw them until you win the round. It doesn't look fun at all. And that's my review of Street Fighter V. I'm hoping this Clayfighter game is a lot more fun!

so, a friend had this game when I was a kid, only his copy was apparently fucked or something, because the music came out all wrong specially the ozzeville music... that stage is burned into my brain as something that gave me endless nightmares the music was fucked, playing slowly and eerily, and then there was just that gigantic creepy looking thing in the background, oozing through the city... plus the weird way the characters look I have never forgotten those nightmares, and will likely relieve some tonight after this :P edit: did not help that my friend was kind of a dick and insisted on playing not only that game, but on the oozeville stage because he knew I was scared, in fact, he'd make sure to move the screen towards the right side so I could fully see the background creepy blob.
Fun Fact: The company that did the sounds for 63 1/3 was WaveGroup, and WaveGroup eventually was hired to create the music for Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2 and the covers in Rock Band. They also did stop motion animation and sounds for Bump In The Night, the old ABC cartoon.

Man, I have a vague memory of being a little kid and going to some random person's house with my grandpa and playing what I now believe was Clay Fighter 2 with an older kid. He kicked my ass every match. I couldn't even remember the name of the game. I could only remember that there was a kangaroo with boxing gloves. I wanted that game so bad after playing it. Roughly 5 years ago I came across Clay Fighter 63 1\2. I recognized the characters and art, but was pretty sure that it wasn't the same game that I played. I'm now pretty positive that it was Clay Fighter 2. The stages and character select screen is exactly how I think I remember it. It was released in '95, which would put it in the proper timeframe. I was 3-4 in '95. It's pretty neat to see something that I haven't layed eyes on in 22-23 years. The game does look like shit now, though.
We should start up a Kickstarter for a Super Best Friends fighting game. We could put in Matt, Pat, Woolie, Liam, Rage, Shin Rage, Bless, Lucky Ted, Tarkus, DIO, Jotaro, Josuke, and whoever else we can come up with. We could gather all the warriors and call it, "Super Best Friends Brawl: The Fighting!" Anyone else got ideas for other characters?

that samurai character on the character select is actually an enemy from the Japan stages in Claymates, oddly. also the animals that run by at the start of rounds are the different forms of the main character also from Claymates. pretty sure same company ofc, just weird they'd put those sprites into this game just haphazardly like that
A game where the characters are made of clay so there's potentially limitless different character designs they could have made but instead settled for a snow man, a rabbit and a fucking banana. Good job!
my feeling is they're the easiest to make with clay. Banana: roll clay, snow man: balls of clay, etc. Not very time-intensive to mould. Also pretty easy to animate. Saves money!!
