It was very nice to see Ben in this vlog. I know this must have been a very challenging year for you and your family. God Bless you for showing your love for Ben and the city of New York. I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!
Im a born and raised New Yorker. Every year I do not care, I love going with my family to do christmas activities. There is something about it it truly is magical even to long time residents.
I love Home Alone 2 - yes it has profound influence on my loving New York! I had a chance to visit it in September 2017. I wasn’t disappointed at all! Beautiful and energetic, very American!
I wanted to let you know that The Plaza currently has several negative reviews due to its poor maintenance. The furniture is dirty and broken, the beds are left unmade, and the rooms are not clean. It seems that the hotel has deteriorated significantly since 2017. Unfortunately, New York City's current situation with the COVID pandemic and migrant issues has contributed to the overall decline in the city's cleanliness.
Hi. I visited New York ( with 10 friends ) from The UK for my 60th birthday last December .we all had a fantastic time. I used some of your videos as a guide. Itching to get back.saw the Rockettes too - Christmas with Knobs on . Happy new Year
Jon and Adrianna It is great to see Ben in your videos. My Ben Rest In Peace 🙏 My favorite Windows is Macys. I enjoy going to Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. My favorite is Dyker Heights. I go numerous times. My favorite activity is always the Holiday Train and I'm also fan of trains. To you and your family. Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving. And Holiday Season.
Have been to New York many times but this year I’m going to experience my first Christmas in NY! I’m so excited🤩 Greeting to you all from Italy. Ps: it was touching to see Ben in the video.
Can’t wait to go! The 3 year wait is over, next week we’re be there for a full week enjoying this holiday vibe!! This documentary came right on time 🎄❄️. Thanks Jon for all you’re amazing video’s it’s so helpful. Keep on going 👌🏻
To a German, living only in a city with ONE million people, these lightshows are astonishing.. i'm amazed that there is enough electricity for all of it... you could really use a lot of solar panels everywhere around New York :-)
I wish you had someone to hang out and experience this. with, besides us. I know you might not mind, though. My brother and I hang out in Chicago, all the time. We drive in from Detroit. We always have so much fun! Make sure you eat at Harold's Fried Chicken, before you leave! Merry Christmas!
Great video.. but it is footage from your videos from last year but with more unused footage. Still good but would have been cooler to make a new video for this year. Thanks for the great video guides, along with Sarah Funk's videos, yours are my guide to visiting NYC for the first time in 17 years.
I spent hours at Rockefeller and Bryant Park taking pics for people. I could have sworn you could have your Pic taken professionally at Rockefeller. Might go back in Saturday to take more pics at other spots. It's lots of fun helping others capture memories of their time in the city! Lol I'm from jersey too.
Airbnb has saved me a ton. Imheading to the city in a week im from wayyy upstate. My apartment is private but listed as shared because of the new NYC airbnb laws. So always text airbnb and see if its private. Im paying $480 for 3 nights in Brooklyn, only a 15 min walk to subway and 30 min ride to midtown
This was wonderful. Thank you! Would love it if you could do a video about mask-wearing in the supposed "post-pandemic" times for traveling. We've been cooped up so long. For instance, how do you decide when to mask and when not? Happy Christmas. Will definitely check out Adri's Etsy shop. :)
It breaks my heart what New York City has become from the riots/ protests to the migrant crisis and the shoplifting causing all the stores to closed down. I felt depressed however watching this video gave me hope. I'm looking forward to visit some of these places with my girlfriend even as a native new yorker who only work from home and never go out.
My daughter and I are visiting NYC together Friday, January 5th through Tuesday, January 9th. Do you think the decorations of most of the places you've shared will still be up? I looked up that the Rocketfeller Tree is taken down on the January 13th. Thank you! Jenny
Hi @herebebarr Great content. I slowly going through your playlist. I am planning a trip to Manhattan for 7 days. I am thinking of arriving on the 7th of Jan. How late into Jan can you arrive on holiday but still get the Christmas/New Years vibe and holiday sales? Thanks!
I'm going to NYC next week, I'm looking to make some photos from the movie locations and put them side by side in my room. Do you have any advice where I can find best list of the locations, I already saw your video from home alone.
Do you have any plans to have videos about the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming to New York City? Particular if NYC gets the final. Recent reports are indicating that it’s down to Dallas/Ft. Worth and New York City on which city will host the Championship Game and FIFA & the United 2026 World Cup hosting committee are looking to announce the Championship Game Host City by Christmas.
Will be in NYC for Thanksgiving. I understand the Rock tree will jot be lit for another week or so, but do you know if the window displays, Peninsula Hotel display, and Saks 5th Ave light show will be up by then? Say Wednesday or Thursday? Love your channel by the way. It's been really helpful. I haven't been in years and have very limited time. Thank you!
From December 23-Jan 1 we will be visting NYC but staying at East Rutherford in NJ. Is that location fine? Also, this year, will there be any snowfall during the holiday season, specifically late December? Btw great vid Jon 😊😊
Fun fact! Oscar Wilde pursued a very pretty young lady in University, Florence, who spurned him… in favor of Abraham Stoker aka Bram Stoker, author of “Dracula” (must have driven him over the edge?)
Wow, I'm impressed and I like this city very much. I mean, This city is really nice. I know, I've never been there before, but I saw this video and I think It's a beautiful city. There are many buildings in this city, There are many apartments in this city, There are many parks in this city, There are many green areas in this city and There are many streets in this city. Wow, This city has beautiful Christmas decorations, Houses have beautiful Christmas decorations and Shopping malls have beautiful Christmas decorations. I like walking around the city because I can appreciate the beauty of the city and There's nothing better than appreciating the Beauty of the city. 18:38 Wow, I will never forget those buildings because They were a symbol of New York in my favorite times. Yeah, They were the most beautiful buildings in the world and The view from the top of those buildings must have been very beautiful. Thank you very much for this video, I really appreciate it. 🎅🎄☃️🇺🇲🗽🙂👍🏢🏙️🏞️
There's nothing cheap about NYC holidays my dude no way . Hotels are going to run ya big time its bad enough thier already expesive all the time. Ok lets say you might find a deal or two on something it'll go by madd quick like it was never there and this is why some people hit black markets (i don't recommend that though) but people wanna save money dearing christmas time. @Here Be Barr
I have come to understand why, as a New Yorker, I dislike this city. Unlike other places such as Vegas and Florida, where the restaurants and attractions are located in specific areas, New York has its entertainment centers spread out all over the place among those who live here. The attractions are usually surrounded by residents who live in the city, tourists who come to visit, and workers who are employed here. As a result, the city is always too crowded, and it's impossible to visit places like FAO Schwarz without having to navigate through Times Square or other areas filled with tourists and locals. It gets overwhelming and too much to handle.
Jeremiah Chapter 10 3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. 6Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. 7Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. 8But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
I have to say we went to see the tree at Rockefeller Center and it was SO DISAPPOINTING! Super crowded. It smelled TERRIBLE. One person near me said it smelled “like an aquarium where the fish have all died”. We couldn’t get near the tree or the skating rink. It was a minute of fighting a crowd to get near enough to get a picture with the tree in the background. Then you had to fight your way back. Nothing to see or do really. It was waste of time. The hot chocolate was good. I would never recommend and will certainly never return. The other trees around the city are so much nicer.

I’m sorry if I missed this info, but around what month was this recorded?
I rather spend Christmas in Nakatomi Plaza. I can't tell you how many Christmases I've spent in there.
Ben! Why are you wearing a mask???? You're killing the Christmas vibe!!!
I don't have time to sit through this video. Is there a list?
Coming to NYC in a couple of weeks. Just wondering why did you wear a mask inside? Is this a thing in NYC?
this is a compilation of videos from a few years.
