For some odd reason even though I did the same steps my google home app keeps saying there isn’t a device while it is clearly turned on and right next to the mini

I am very happy with the GE - C smart light bulbs. It works fantastic with my Google Home Mini.

Can you do a video on a smart lock thats work with Google home with out another hub like smart things or other ones thanks or tell me which one work with Google or alexa without a video
Great video. I currently have Philips Hue for lights and Google Assistant for speaker. Don’t want to add more hubs for different brand lights so this seems like a good option. Do they also work with the “Sonos Speaker” with google assist or does it have to be a google mini or google display?

It says it works with Google Assistant.. is that the same thing?
It also says you have to download the Globe App, but I want ones that’s work with Google Home

After set-up does your phone have to be in the room with you in order for the google mini to turn off the desk lamp?
I have some of these in our home also, and they have worked well. We did have one issue where the bulb wouldn't connect. We turned off the lamp, removed the bulb and allowed it to sit while we went out for a bit. After returning, I re-installed the bulb, and had to reset it via online directions (very easy). Afterwards I reconnect the bulb in the Google home app and it's back to normal.

Hi Brett! Whenever I try to set a music alarm on my Google home, it always jacks up the volume to 40% and then plays the song. Is there any way I can fix this?

Great tip with different names for the bulb as I think that was causing problems turning the lights on and off. Do you or anyone know colour range names for a bulb? I ask my bulb to be warm white and it's only about 60% warm white and can't find or request the light to go to the most yellow range without it going yellow in colour?

I tried the C Sleep bulbs and they will only work on the warm setting with Google home. I could not change to cool tone
How do you do this for the new version of Google Home? The only tabs are Favorites, Devices, Automations, Activity, and Settings.
Would one google mini control all the lights in the house? Or does eash room need its own google mini to function? Also, what's the difference between the google home and the google mini?
if you do have the SmartThings hub, is there an advantage to using Google over Samsung? Since I have everything else loaded in my Smart hub, wouldn't it just be easier for me to keep them all in that?
Hi Brett.I have Zigbee down light rgb.and Zigbee 3.0 gateway.I try to connect it to my google home mini.I can see that appread in the google home app.and I can control by my phone and voice command on my phone.however,if I do voice command on the home mini.it says it’s not set up.
Smart lights will sync in the same room as the Google mini but stop working after I move them to another room. Any advice?
i had my smart lites set up had to buy a new router and reset my hub/google home n mini. That went fine but when I tried to reset my lites I could not get them back to factory setting. Contacted the GE support only to have them hang up on me when their solution didnt work. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it. i have $40.00 in GE smart lites and can't get them to work.

I cant set it up to work with my google home mini. I can only get it to work in the app. Nothing shows up in my discover feed, and I can't link my GE C account to my google account.

As far as I can tell it does require an official Google Home speaker. The other option is to pick up a GE bridge and then you would be able to control it from the Google Assistant.

what if all your devices...e.g. home hub, cameras on garage and front door are all offline, will the light bulbs still be available to be installed?

I bought the GE and google mini in a kit, last year in blackfridays deals. But that ge thanks forever in to get connected to my mini, so much that i could only do it once. And then my bulb is useless

In your presentation, when you go into the Google Home App, your i-phone shows a small icon at the bottom that you called the "discover" tab (looks like a little compass maybe). When I go into the same app I don't show a discover tab at the bottom. Do you know what I am doing wrong? Thanks.
same problem here, Mike. I believe they updated the interface of the app and now I can't figure out how to add lights
what do you do if you want the light outside? after your done with the setup do you then unscrew bulb from the same room as the mini and put it outside?
You cant put indoor bulbs outside. You'll blow your electics and possibly electrocute yourself

I would put them in the same room if you want the best feedback controlling with your google devices.

Looking this up I could I only find that it says, "You can connect up to 6 bulbs per Google Assistant." Not sure if the is per Google Home Mini or per account. How many do you have?

Is there any way to set these up on timers? I’ve been playing with these for a while and can’t find it. Trying to make it appear as if I’m home when I travel.
In the Google Home app create a Routine that turns it on and off everyday at certain times.
I got my C by GE Lights working with Alexa and Google by Setting them up in the C by GE App and linking the App to Alexa.
How can we be able to control this lights from anywhere? Are we able? I have them but I’m only able to turn them on/off 40ft away from

I was just going to post on your other comment. Yes this will but you said you need 8 bulbs and each mini will only support up to 6 of these GE Bulbs. Another options is to find Smart Bulbs that connected over WiFi.

This lamp has its own application, in which you can configure automatic smooth switching on at this time. Is it possible to set this up in google home? Unfortunately, the lamp can not be connected simultaneously to both its application and google home. Or am I wrong?
It does have its own application. From what I understand you need the C Reach bridge to connect it with the app.
@@TechWithBrett Not. With the application I have connected the lamp and I use just the application on Android (C by GE). Because in the Google Home application you cannot configure automatic activation by time. I just do not understand why the lamp does not work with two applications at the same time? I have so far succeeded in connecting it either with GH or with C by GE
I’ve been thinking about getting these for my other rooms instead of buying more Phillips hue bulbs. You mentioned that they work over Bluetooth so my question is can you turn these lights off and on outside of the home using the app?
Yes you can control them away from home. I was playing around with the app while on my way home and my husband told me he was scared because the lights kept turning on and off lol.
I use the google home app though, not the app for the light bulbs because it didn't work for me. Weird.

I've only heard of or seen these Bluetooth bulbs set up with a home mini. Are the home and home Max also compatible? I have a few of these bulbs but only have minis in my house. Just wondering. :)
Yes the Max, Mini and regular Home are all supported.

Yes, you either need smart lights to control or you need a smart light switch.

Yes, you can, but these lights you can't bc it's soft white. Only you can ask it general light stuff or app control. The color smart bulbs will yet you ask it to 5500k

In the Google Home app you can create routines that allow you to have it automatically turn on with a schedule. Light timers are not yet available through the Google Home app.

Do you have to have a mini or hub device? Or is it possible to just use the home app on the Pixel phone?
You can just use the Google home app. That's what you use to set the bulbs up and you can control them immediately afterwards with Google home on your phone or tablet. The speaker just makes using the bulbs touch-free or hands-free basically.
Can the Google change the saturation of the bulb?

You can also download the “C by GE” app to use without google

On if you want to do the commands on your phone. The Google Home app should let you connect and do everything else.

It should work if that is a pretty close distance.

Having that and room light switch on constantly won’t run your bill up?
They are LED lights, and the power draw from Bluetooth Low Power shouldn't be too much, so I don't think it would.
