- "白道" ("lunar orbit") also literally means "white path", and is the subject of a Buddhist parable. In this parable, the White Path is a narrow path that leads to enlightenment, and runs alongside the twin rivers of flame (anger) and water (greed).
- "多希望羊" in the Japanese name is a portmanteau of "希望" (kibou, lit. "hope") and the idiom "多岐亡羊"(takibouyou, lit. "overwhelming complexity" or "decision paralysis"). "Espebranch" in the English title is a portmanteau of "Esperanza" (Spanish for "hope") and "branch".
