I can see why this entire department needs to be investigated and probably shut down altogether. We've got this piece of work holding a woman down in a parking lot while another beats her up. This guy texts the other one hours after the parking lot beat down saying how much of a pleasure it was stirring up trouble with him and anticipating another session of "serving and protecting" together. BOTH of them throw each other under the bus. Neither of them accept any responsibility for their unlawful actions and neither of them show any remorse. And the other one admits to hearing about a culture of targeting people of color. ALL UNDER THE COLOR OF LAW AND TAXPAYER FUNDED.

You can’t get rid of qualified immunity without getting rid of judicial immunity, which would bring an end to The American Justice System as a whole. We’re to far gone as a society to get back to the actual constitution. You should blame the people born in 1940-1965. They wanted cheap houses and a college degree for two grand but had no grasp on the precedent they were setting!!!

Every officer that witnessed these incidents and didn't intervene should have been fired and criminal charges pursued. Like where is the integrity with any of these people. Why do they get held do a different standard than an average citizen? Who cares if she's been drinking, if you don't know how to deescalate don't become a cop. There are better and higher paying professions. But it's more and more obvious the type of men that seek law enforcement jobs.

I think there is clearly a training problem here. I was taught arm locks and also a handcuff wrist lock that would have brought control through pain compliance. So two officers couldn't control one intoxicated woman so they called for backup. How do you gain control of an arm by punching them in the ribs.. Trying to cover for his partner made him look stupid. Seriously would you leave a place without your property particularly a purse and phone. Many of the things written in the report and said in his previous statement are contradicted in the video.

It's very telling that when officers have to use force, and that use of force needs to be documented, it's called a "Response to Resistance" report.
It should be called a "Use of Force" report.
Calling it a "response to resistance" inherently sets a narrative that a suspect was resisting and force was required. In reality, many uses of force are not sure to any resistance, but because a cop is enraged that a suspect questions them.
It's not surprising that a corrupt department like JSO would call it a biased "Response to Resistance" report, as opposed to a factually accurate "Use of Force" report.

Sip, sip, sip. A sure sign of stress. Every time her bends or stretches the truth, he takes a sip of water Why do cops always feel compelled to push people around and violently throw them to the ground before, or even after, handcuffing them ?. Are we supposed to believe that two grown men couldn't handle one woman who was probably much smaller than either one of them ?. What would have been so wrong if the cops had just allowed her to quietly wait for her lift to arrive. Was it imperitive that she immediately left the parking lot after she had already vacated the store ?. Was her "CRIME" so horrendous that she needed to be treated like a gun toting hoodlum ? What does "Alcoholic beverage smell like ?. Most perfumes and mouth washes have a base of alcohol, maybe that's what the sensitive nose of the cop detected. Even non alcoholic beer has the same odour as alcoholic beer. It's obvious that police recruits have any trace of humanity trained out of them, and they forget that once upon a time they were a part of the human race but now consider that they are somehow superiour to the rest of society.

She wasn't an innocent person. She was extremely drunk and disorderly. The club management called the cops because she was refusing to leave the property after being told to do so multiple times. She became loud, resistant, and belligerant, when the cops got there, and became more physically combative when they tried to cuff her.
She was the cause of the entire encounter because she was so drunk out in public.
      She got herself fired.
