Gordon you must have been a fly on the wall today watching me train. This is exactly the problem I’ve been having....getting my legs inside. Thanks for this simple instruction.
Hello Gordon I'm dave 50 year old new blue belt. Thanks for the vids although I don't think I'm ready for this stuff. Any advice for a new blue belt apart from run
I'm no Gordon but, better than run I would dare to say is stretch everyday, you will build cardio doing bjj more and more but if don't have flexbility to apply many movements. Good luck in your journey.
How can a Gordon give advice to a 50 year old when he is only 25, a professional and juiced? He doesn't really know what a 50 year old body feels like after a tough roll, right? I would suggest finding good mentor and training partners and learn how to listen to your body, the worst thing you can do is pretend you are 20 or 30 years younger then you are. You won't last long doing it that way. Remember Father Time is undefeated, he taps out everyone sooner or later...
I’m not Gordon either, but Gordon has always stated that the winner of a Jiujitsu match is usually the person who knows more. I would worry about fitness less and find a partner your level to drill with and start studying these DVDs, writing stuff down, starting with escapes, then guard retention, then closed guard, then open guard and submissions.
Wow... at first I thought that leg cross he initially took looked strange (hadn't seen it before). Then I thought about all of the physics for jujitsu I've been learning and the simple machine concepts approach Ive taken and, holy crap that's actually a very controlling position even right there. Her leg would be immobilized significantly relative to the amount of contact he has here.

I hope Gordon goes to MMA, he has all the tools to be a superstar, he's got the stills and he can cut one hell of a promo...
Too risky. He's making good money in bjj where he's untouchable. Going to mma and probably losing will ruin a lot

How do uou prevent the guy from Just mointing u there
because you would be going straight into an irimi ashi after getting legs inside
If they try just bring your knees to your chest and take irimi ashi
