If you're serious about your putting game, you've probably heard of LAB Golf. Their putters promise revolutionary technology to help you make more putts with less effort. But when it comes to choosing between the OZ.1 and the DF3, which one is truly the best? In this video, we put these two LAB putters head-to-head to find out which one deserves a spot in your bag.
Both putters feature Lie Angle Balance (LAB) technology, designed to keep your stroke smooth and square without any unnecessary manipulation. But beyond that, they have some key differences. The OZ.1 offers a sleek, more compact look, giving traditionalists something to love while still benefiting from LAB’s signature performance. On the other hand, the DF3 brings a modern, high-MOI design that screams forgiveness, stability, and effortless consistency.
We’ll break down feel, alignment, forgiveness, and performance under pressure-the real tests that separate a good putter from a game-changer. While both putters have their strengths, we found that one of them provided a clear edge when it comes to holing more putts.
If you’re in the market for a LAB putter, don’t make a decision until you watch this! Will the sleek OZ.1 take the crown, or will the forgiving DF3 prove to be the ultimate putting weapon? Watch until the end for our verdict-and a few surprises along the way.

DF3 is much more stable and better. The OZ is much more blade-ish and less forgiving. Lag putting you need to practice and every green complex is different. Also DF3 feels better , perhaps the non insert OZ might feel ok too. DF3 is the better putter for the LAB Tech. Link1 and OZ1 are much less forgiving and tendencies to push and pull putts is more common. Also VLA is much better and consistent with DF3

Wow, could not disagree more. DF3 is great but the Oz outperforms. The feel of the insert with the Accra is incredible. If you want super stable, setup an Oz as a CB with the heavy head.

@@gtobs3181 this is why I mention in my video that it’s personal preference! It depends so largely on your stroke style!

Wondering if you know what the swing weight came out to be with the heavier head in the oz.1?

The ball looks way too far forward in your stance and your head is moving everywhere

@@HighSpinSwingSpeed thanks for the feedback! I never proclaimed to be great at putting. I’m grinding hard to get better. My understanding is that LAB putters are designed to have the ball forward in your stance.

@ sorry if I came across harsh. I was just trying to help…. I don’t think any putter is designed for your eyes to be behind the ball like that. Look at all the best putter’s in the world and they all have their eyes over the ball. Some on the inside of the ball, some over the middle but that’s usually it. It looks like you have the ball one or two ball lengths too far forward. Also watch your head, it moves and you look up. Keep it as still as you can. Don’t even look up at the ball. A very popular drill that’s been around forever is to “hear” the ball into the hole. Never pick your head up.
I suggest you get a putting mirror. You can get them now very cheap. It will fix your setup quickly which will lead to more consistent contact.

@ I have a putting mirror but haven’t used it in years. I’ll dust it off! Thank you for taking the time to give me helpful feedback! I’m here for the grind! 👊

@@thescratchplan The other thing I noticed right away in your stroke. if you go to 1:24 in the video. Look at where your hands are in comparison to the putter head. Your hands are pretty much inline with the ball (thats good). But look at where your hands are in comparison to the ball at impact and just after. See how your wrist breaks down and the putter head moves on front of your hands? That is adding loft to the putter. It's hard to make consistent contact when the putter face is never at the intended loft of the putter. Good luck. Golf takes a lot of practice.s

@ thank you! I’ve been using chat GPT as a coach and one of the things it mentioned was to keep my hands quiet and focus on swinging with my shoulders. I think that will help with what you are describing!
