Sylvie is definitely a character, and I think she was happy to have some babies to play with! Everything is good here, weatherwise and we are just getting some projects done during the downtime. Juliett is up next, but not until May 🥰

We have Nigerian Dwarf goats also. We bought a cheap baby monitor and mounted it in the barn. The other part is in the house where we can hear and see the mama when its time. Saves freezing 😊
We actually have barn cams, so I can see exactly what’s going on from the TV in our house. But I like to sit with my girls and sometimes I’m out there for hours! I guess I’m a helicopter mom. I like to hover, lol!
@@OzarkMountainGoats Lol, I’m soon to be 72 and done with hovering. Actually we have started kidding in early to mid April. We we first started we took turns spending the night out there until the babies came. Froze our butts off. To cold to get any shut eye. We make cheese, yogurt, cheesecake, cottage cheese and of course drink our goats milk. No goaty taste at all.
@@deddleman3099 not too far behind ya. I'll be 67 next year. Lol We also make cheese and such. Jim is in the cheese room today making goat milk cheddar. I have heard people talk about goaty taste but so far never experienced it. Oh well their loss!
Absolutely beautiful doelings ❤ Fancy was so quiet, such a good mum. I have to say, your stalls are beautiful, really spotlessly clean and cosy looking. I think that’s lovely for the goats, well done. 🙏🏻👌
Thank you! Fancy did such a great job, I was really proud of her. We do our best to keep the stalls and barn clean. We do daily cleaning except in winter and then we do more of a deep bedding method. Helps keep them warm. 🥰
Me too! Kidding is so messy - I like to use as many disposable products as possible and then burn them. Once towels dry that are covered with fluids/blood and straw - OMG it’s a pain to get them clean!
Thank you 😊 Not sure which ones you’re referring to. The large stand alone hay feeders came from tractor supply. The small hanging feeders came from Premier One. I love the hanging ones. They can be easily moved and are very versatile.
Because of a couple serious health issues with Josie and myself we have had to sell all of the goats. We sold several to a lady about 45 min from our home.
