Brilliant stuff Adrian. You have your hedges as neat now as your yard. Well ware on the machine, I hope it serves you well for years to come. 🖒

@@IFarmWeFarmnot at all. I enjoy your videos very much, you can see you take great pride and interest in your farm.
@@IFarmWeFarm How do you video your self doing things doing farmers and record yourself driving and doing hedge so how do you hold cameras or phones at any time as sometime you not have any hand to hold phone or camera? So can you please help me with my problem with get videos of myself doing hedge cutter as when I doing it I not have any hand free to hold phone or camera as my hand busy driving tractor and operator the control for hedge cutter machine so if you got any ideas about something to help me to record myself doing thing when my hand busy?
I got my fingers crossed for you to give me ideas for me to get record or videos of myself? 🙂🤞
I have the exact same machine for the past 12 years and it's been brilliant just needing a cable about 2 years ago. Like you I was Afraid folding with the spring for ages. Now I extend the boom drop it to the ground keep downward pressure on , lock in opposite direction and slowly pull forward until latches! Best wishes with the machine.
Thanks for the tip, yes great machine, but i think the shaft that’s inside the spring is damaged on mine, it has a little bend on it. I put it down on the ground and up against a tree and it wouldn’t go back no matter what i did. I’ll get it sorted soon as i want to be able to fold it back a bit on the road. Thanks lad 👍

Always the same here Adrian some of our cow field hedges hadent been cut for a good 6 or 8 years..soon get alot of growth about them when that happens . Looks like your making a perfect job too for first time 👌. Cant beat your own independence when it comes to machinery where you can 😃👍
George Rome can’t beat it George, thank you 👍
@@IFarmWeFarm look forward to the next video as always. No doubt you'll have something quality rolled up your sleeve 😎😃👍
I guess it is quite off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream new series online?
@Nova Jonathan lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Uriah Dante yup, I've been using flixzone for months myself :D
Great work chief 👌
Nice video.. thanks for all the different angles.. hehehe..
Well done loved the restoration vids
Great video
Do most farm roads in Ireland have hedges? I use to run a road grader with a mulching machine hanging off it worked so go and easy to see because it’s mounted halfway in the middle of grader.
Nice one Adrian, its easier than swing a bellhook!
I've done that many's a time
Looks powerful well
I shortened my levers when had my hedge cutter your hand is more level less tiring nice logo
Well done Adrian....great job. Any Autumn calves or are u all spring calving
Great video as always
Top work as per normal
What a video lad keep it up👍👍👍
You need a man in to lay them hedges Adrian, it would allow you cut a better hedge with the McConnell in the future.
Tomherbs that’s very through, there’s boundaries hedges and they are very over grown, laying them would be a super job
Comment for the algorithm to help the channel 👍.
Well done grate to get hedges cut. Why massy would case not work hedge cutter. Not on insta would like to know how test goes. 🙏👍
All clear of TB
Always good news to get clear 👍👍
nice to see it in action
Hey buddy your vids are great . Keep up the good work . I’ve a GoPro 8 . Might get it out and give you some compilation lol . Awesome work .
Great job .👍
Hello great video , I’m pleased you hedge cutter is running well ! I have the same cutter 👍 what size tyres are you running on the Massey ?
Thanks
Ash
Cheers lad were running 580's rear and 480's front Agrimax
Have you much trouble hooking on and off. Have a pa92 and find it very difficult
Nash Bodyrepairs no trouble, can hook on and off in 10 mins now that I’ve done it a few time
Did you dent your slurry tank or is it just the light shining on it weird
Unlimited Rory no thankfully not, it’s just the sun making it look that way 👍
tidy jobs as always adrian hope tb test goes ok
Nice looking setup well done on your efforts! Is the cab pillar right in your line of sight when your trimming the grass?
Good job on the hedge cutting Adrian , very good for you first time useing it , were did you buy dat machine often I said I get my own, do be look out too buy one
Michèal Power I bought it in Clarkes machinery Cavan. There’s always second hand ones there.
Where is the tractor bonnet cover????
Thankyou for the video. What are the reasons you cut the hedgerows?Do you do all them every year?Is there a legal requirement to do any of them?Do you or any of the local farms have a partnership or scheme to manage for wildlife?I'm asking as a member of the public who is concerned at the lack of berries excetera for the winter birds/mammals.
Nice video
I’ve heard that hedge cutters can make chips of wood fly back and take the paint of the tractor
The Blue Knight all hedge cutters will do that, wire and stones are the biggest danger
Ya if a stone flew up at the window it would probably shatter
Ya but tbh u b save enough nearly all of it goes behind the head I reckon
Hedges are brilliant. Thank you for sharing. Don't know why we don't use them. It's a matter of pride around here to have clean fence rows, which requires keeping sheep or a weed wacker and a LOT of work. Birds are constantly seeding the fence rows with blackberry and maple trees. So much better for wildlife the way you maintain them. Thank you for sharing.
Not sure of the purpose on the hedges? You still have to use wire in them to keep the cows contained right? The hedge is a windbreak or shade?
Drone landing pad and All!!
Great stuff Adrian!
Would you ever do a Q & A??
yes defiantly will, have to get myself to sit down and sort the live feed out
Hi I have a solution for your rough cluch, if you have a cluch cable then don't bother looking. But I have a claas with a massey cluch and there are to sensors on the cluch and that problem you have is caused by this id say, worh a look. Hope that helps..
Great job, definitely interested in seeing your filming setup.
Looks good, looks like the cutter is working well.
I work for a road department over here in the US, western Pennsylvania. I don't get to do it often, but I do mow road sides from time to time. We have a Massey Ferguson 5611 that has a Tiger boom mower with a 50" rotary cutter head. I enjoy mowing when I have the opportunity, but traffic can get stressful at times.
Yes traffic would take to relaxation out of it for sure. thanks for watching and hope you are all safe and well over the water
Hi Adrian do you have a link of where you got your magnetic gopro mount from. Looking for one myself. Thanks
Tom 6125R no link for it as I made it myself, I will show how it’s done on the next video.
Thanks Adrian
What my is that u have is it a 6480 or 5455
Mark Murphy 6470
😊
What speed would u be going while hedge cutting ?
All depends on the hedge, I was constantly adjusting my speed to suit
Great vid😜
Love the Chanel btw what hp is the massy
135 I think
Did you have a good happy birthday 🥳 I 👍🚜🏴🇬🇧😷👩🌾👩🌾
Sandy Mcghee great day and week 😁, thanks lad
hope you had a good birthday ..
Great day and week, thanks lad
Controls farther forwards would make a difference, what's the handbrake like in your massey 6470 driving one the other day and it wouldnt hold her still on the flat
If shes not blue she'll not do great handbrake, a tornado wouldn’t move her
@@IFarmWeFarm have you got it adjusted or anything done with it or was it always that way?
If shes not blue she'll not do there’s brand new brakes in that tractor but even before that they were always great. There very easily adjusted anyhow
@@IFarmWeFarm strange thing was the foot brake was powerful enough to stop a 1600 gallon tanker (with no brakes) only went forwards about 10ft before stopping dead going downhill at about 20kph
How do you video your self doing things doing farmers and record yourself driving and doing hedge so how do you hold cameras or phones at any time as sometime you not have any hand to hold phone or camera? ADAM GRANT CAMERON Thornton hi Adam, there are various mounts that I use to capture different angles. If you look in the description you will see some of the gear we use. 👍
@@IFarmWeFarm where do you get it from is it on amazon
ADAM GRANT CAMERON Thornton yes, you can buy them through them links
Nice to see it going, were you running it in 540 or 1000?
cheers lad, 540
I run mine on 540 eco at about 470 ram on light material and a little quicker for heavy stuff! Th
You need to cut back the grass on the roads to widen them I'm sure it would be easier for you
Do you find will save money over time with hedge cutting yourself instead of getting a contractor
David Kent yes definitely so, but been able to cut them when the weather and land suits is hugely beneficial
Tidy tidy job there fella. Looks great. Have I missed something or have you changed your logo? It’s looks bloody brilliant. 👍
Yes new logo added yesterday, thanks lad
Was there someone trying to zerograze r cut silage in the field close to ur yard looks kinda wet lol
David Porter yes zero graze, it’s just on the surface, no real harm done
We used to zerograze it was the same you a thought the place was distoryed but in a couple a days you wouldn’t know you wer in the field
Michael Cusack Smith
can you not take off the leg stands of the hedge cutter, they look to be very close to ground when you working
Michael O'Brien. They can come off but there was a lot more clearance than the video might show, if the ground was really wet I’d take them off.
Extremely tiring job because of the concentration.
yes very much so
