    Great to hear you admitting that the problems with the molds are due to you & not a problem with the mold itself.
    As for clearing the surface bubbles the best method I've come across is by using a long neck lighter, the flame temp is much lower than the heat gun or the torch & so it takes MUCH, MUCH LONGER to cause any damage to the mold & the other thing is that using IPA will dry the silicone mold out & shorten it's life so that's why I avoid using IPA to burst bubbles.

    Spray the inside of the mold with alcohol right before you pour it helps release those pesky low down bubbles.

      I do not. The molds leave a glossy finish. But after about 7 uses that finish starts to get more matte

    Just use a vacuum pot, quickly on the resin, before pouring it into mold, then pour slowly into mold, and put in pressure pot. should eliminate any bubbles.

    I’ve heard 24 hours is sufficient in the pressure pot. Have you compared different time-lengths in the pot to see if there is any impact on the product?

    • @byromscustomwoodworks
      @byromscustomwoodworks  Год назад

      It’s still in a gel state at 24 hours so it’s safer to leave them in for a minimum of 48 hours.

      Alcohol spritz should help. Also torch and proper Mixing time. It also depends on your choice of resin. I have this exact same mould, from let's resin...the skull is awesome...I get bubbles in the back of the skulls head...
