I saw a review of this cabin from 8 years ago. And I was hoping that they would realize that TV's come larger than 21 inches. Thank you for the review.
I would really like to see an accessible cabin review done from someone in a wheelchair. Especially seeing the way the wheel chair (not scooter) maneuvers in the space. And how a person in the chair gets in and out of bed. I can usually transfer but bed has rail at home. My first cruise with chair is October 2023. I'm a little nervous. Thank you for this wonderful channel.
Its a bit difficult to have 2 people in the room for filming the review and that is why Kevin normally does them as it is difficult for Frank to roll himself while holding the camera.
Great cabin but the door and emergency button on the balcony looks a little dodgy. The Gem is showing her age, but I prefer this size ship to the larger "resort " style.
What i don't get is why motels , Hotels, cruises and such have such high beds for those of us in chairs. i don't get to travel much anymmore since i had to give up driving due to eye problems. But it makes me nervous anymore to stay in motels because i can't get on the high matteress unless someone picks me up or pushes me on the bed. i have a hospital bed and live alone and handle everything fine at home. it would be nice if bed matteress were lower in the handicap accessable rooms.
Yes it is pretty much the same. I believe it is just flipped so bed on the left side instead of the right. But other than thats it is exactly the same!!
Do you have any data on how many accessible cabins are booked by people who don’t need them? I have been having a hard time booking an accessible balcony cabin than I think I should
I have a question for you. My sister is non weight bearing and at home she showers while seated on the toilet. Is it possible to do that in this bathroom? I don't want to flood the cabin but thought the bathroom floor may drain into the floor drains from anywhere in the bathroom. Fingers crossed we can avoid 2 extra transfers. TIA
Although we have been in this cabin a few times over the years, I cant tell you if you will be able to shower will sitting in the toilet. Its not something that we do. We use the bench that is provided in the shower area. Sorry and good luck.
such a nice cabin!
It was !!
Perfect cabin for me
We loved it.

Thanks for the tour Kevin. I will be staying in the cabin in Sept for a B2B Boston to Quebec with You Tube creator Chillie Falls.

Ya ..... I don't... Isn't an issue for us so I guess we never thought of it before.
Would you know if Room 9648 would be the same as 9148. Thank you

Nope. No way to tell. Usually you will need to book at least a year in advance in our experience.
Ditto! We have been able to find nothing at least a year. Are there lines that are better than others?
Thanks.❤
