Got to be the quickest stoppage of Yamasaki’s career
yeah i don't get get it, he actually was a good ref this fight
At that time late stoppages didn't turn him on
everybody can make a mistake
He was actually decent at one point as crazy as it sounds
😂
Even amidst two trained killers, YAMASAKI is still the most dangerous guy in there.
No doubt 😂😂
Early stoppage for the ref vet Yamasaki
facts
well early... he should have given him the chance to be a warrior
Bisping had one of the craziest journeys to the belt he's a legend,
The Count 🇬🇧
took him 133 ufc ppv's to get the belt. that's crazy
Madness hes a legend no doubt about it, fought all the juiced up guys also
legend indeed
The GOAT
@@bobbyshmurda5225 Not even close
Bisping was one of the most underrated middleweight of his time. He was a champion at two weight classes in other organisations. He would climb the UFC rankings and would always lose title eliminators to guys that would later pop for P.E.D.
Usada came in a not long after, Bisping took the belt. He sacrificed a lot, worked hard, lost an eye, and won the belt the hard way.
also makes you wonder how good he could’ve been if he could see with two eyes
Proper boyo made in England 😁
The UFC needs to adopt trevor whittman's glove so bad... Sadly Dana won't until someone big loses their vision.
@@matthewreid1175 Bisping lost his eye from head kick against trt vitor lol not a poke
He also beat Anderson, and Silva use a cheap dirty knee and still lost..
Michael bisping is a living legend minus an eye and still wins the middleweight title
Odin has one eye as well
He lost to matt hammil ufc fixed that fight. They are the commision in the uk
Against a literal “samurai”
@@dickiemolitsanti2213 the guys just hard as f*ck simple as
@Dean Samchester and... Why would you even write that
wow what a throwback ... bisping fighting with 2 eyes , joe rogan with hair , mario yamasaki refereeing and goldberg commentating.
The best days of UFC
Before the sellout shit
And Dana half the size he is now😮
bisping proves here why cardio is so important
And that he was a 185er lol
@Obluquy haha lol
Damn this fight is 15 years old, Bisping looks quite different and Joe wasn't bald
Now is the other way around lol
dana white hasn't bulked up yet either
@Mike Rauch LOL
@Mike Rauch that mans head just grows 😂
Sean Strickland now looks almost identical to Michael Bisping back then!
I’m surprised Yamasaki didn’t let Schafer ‘be a warrior’ 😂
Bisping has had a hell of a fight career and one hell of a post fight career 👏 Back when Micky's Malt Liquor was the main sponsor. Good times and great memories
Great flash from the past. Bisping and his commentary at the end was priceless LoL
Bisping looked much faster and more athletic at 37 than 27 lol
185 was perfect for him, his style of course matured with age.
Agreed 185 was his home
surprisingly good stoppage by yamasaki
Not only did he become UFC champion with one eye, he beat the legendary Anderson Silva while only having one eye. Bisping is the definition of a fighter, true Hall of Famer.
He beat a washed Silva and got saved by the bell one round after taking a knee to the face. Let's not revise history like he beat a champion level Silva. He did have a great and admirable career.
Prime Silva would have killed Bisping
Good win for Bisping, but I'd have liked to see how the fight would have went with both men in their primes.
@@fangiscool1 neither were in their prime and bisping had one eye lol TBATS still fuckimh impressive consider that was Anderson first fight back after his roid debacle. All this guy lost to was roided freaks
@@fangiscool1 Hardly washed, Silva to this day is lethal. And don't forget....BISPING HAD 1 FUCKING EYE and countless surgeries. Hardly in prime condition himself. Brilliant win. Silva's only moment in the fight was really the sly knee. Mike recovered and dominated the very next round.
LEGEND!!!
Man, Bisping's cardio improved massively and quickly.
Dude was fighting at 205lbs carrying way too much weight, not surprised his cardio wasn't the same
his cardio was always on point from the start, it was one of his best attributes
@@astonblanche137 He did seem to carry more power at 205 though.
Hardly, other guy gassed first
@@madgavin7568 That's obvious if you're at a higher weight
London Calling is one of the most epic walkout songs
After seeing this are we sure Bisping and Sean Strikland arent related lmao
Respect to Bisping, he’s a true warrior: heart and soul!
I feel like in the early days of Michael Bisping people underestimated his general intelligence and fight IQ. He is a smart guy.
The fact that bispings actual team didnt fly out, lied to him saying rhey would and ditched him, he trained on his own mainly and with couple of jiu jitsu guys and those were the people in his corner not his actual team he did all that mainly on his own for his ufc debut in the mgm grand ppv it’s actually incredible definitely a warrior and one of the most underrated fighters around.
Michael THE COUNT Bisping 💪💪💪 always have goosebumps watching his documentary when he won the belt 👌👌👌
On a journey to legend 💪
Bisping walking out to "London Calling" for his UFC debut is *chef's kiss *
I love how the Americans have gone from hating to loving Bisping, what a legend.
Well they love bidding on eBay
@@chrisklitou7573 lol you got me there Chris!
Very impressive ground game from both. Beautiful set up for the arm triangle and great back and forth reversals. Overall great fight!
Not seen a rare two eyed Bisping in the wild for years.
they must be extinct right about now
Thank you for finally including some got damn walk out footage with these free fights. Even if it’s only 8 seconds of the original music. I get the ufc doesn’t spend the money to retain the music replay rights, but I’d much rather see the walk out with some royalty free music than nothing.
damn, young bisping looks like sean strickland
The man
The myth
The fucking Legend!!!
Bisping Is a Legend, glad for all the good things that have happened to him in his later career (mainly when he won and defended the Title) and also his post retirement life.
As an Englishman this made me so proud 🏴👊🔥
This is an incredible classic. Even yamasaki as referee. MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS ♥️🇺🇸
Love it when new UFC fans can watch the commentating team’s old fights
Oh man I miss the UFC of the 2000s decade! Those military shorts, condom depot tattoos and Affliction t-shirts!
Man Bisbing was such a savage! He’s a legend for sure. Love this guy.
Hated by most during his career in the UFC 😂 now everyone likes the chap 👍👍
BYM Theme playing in the back makes this awesome
two-eyed bisping was a sight to see
What a legend!
I miss the 2000s days of the UFC.
Well done Bisping! Like your commentary it started out rocky but you found a way.
When bisping still have two eyes
It's been strange to see Bisping's journey with the US fan base (I'm from England). At one time he seemed to be detested by most American fans, now it looks to have gone 360 and he's admired. So he not only ground his way to a UFC belt but he also won over thousands of haters in the process.
Bisping had this all the way. Defence from the ground, flopping his body to get out of stand up clinches, rolling with the low attacks and great ground and pound.
He was super active off his back, I never noticed that about him
@@justinjackson4796 He smashed GSP with some good elbows from his back. Busted him open.
Michael Bisping telling this story walking the Vegas strip brought me back here.
Good fight Mike 💪
A champion in the making
I appreciate "london calling" being audible for his entrance here
Wish Mike reacted to this video on his own youtube channel 🔥🔥
Michael Bisping has had an amazing 2021. So happy to see it
Bisping; what a geezer!
one eyed legend 👍👍👍
You know this is old when Rogan has hair
This was a great event for Bisping to debut on - UFC's most successful PPV event upto that point with nearly 1 million buys.
Fighting with one eye is crazy and winning the belt is legendary
2:49. Perfect timing Champ!
How amazing is Mr Bisping
What is the walkout song of Bisping?
Can't believe this was 15 years ago, time certainly does fly.
two legends
Bisping is one of the most underrated fighter's in MMA history with crazy cardio
Bisping is 1 of my favs
15 years ago today, what a story. Is there anyone else that has endured and overcome and then continues to achieve as much? I thought he was a cocky shit back then, but he's one of the most beloved MMA guys now. If you haven't checked out The Counts RUclips content, you're missing out.
This was a tough first fight on a big stage for a striker. Eric thought he could just smother him and was all over him for a short bit. But Michael was more well-rounded than I think most people realize, even back then.
All of you talking about the fence grab, you know why it happens every fight? Because it's almost impossible to not grab the fence. It's not a deliberate choice, you just instinctually do it. The body doesn't want to just fall over, and it's the most natural thing in the world to pull yourself up. Now imagine someone is trying to hit you, kick you, on top of you, and you've just been on the ground. This is a fight or flight situation, you're on auto. There's a big difference between cheating and this, a fence grab is more understandable than a groin strike or eye poke, those often aren't instinctual reactions.
Intro song was his podcast intro also
Living legend
It is better and less distracting when the timer isn't there
The only ever one-eyed champ. Absolute legend.
here after watching bisping just tell the story of his first Ufc fight on Facebook today
Legend
Been incredible watching Bispings evolution over the years. In and out the octagon.
That was a great debut by the count !
What's the walkout song called?
Gotta love Bisping.
I want bisping to react to this on his channel😂
Mario ''Let it die'' Yamasaki. Hall of famer for most brutal person the octagon has ever seen
"Bang, Bang, Bang - good night - go home" 🤣
Suprisingly good stoppage by Yamasaki.
Bisping said it right, he just by himself on his first fight on UFC, no cornerman or team, no family, just himself wow, and thats his debut to UFC too, and won it lol
Yes the count!!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼🔥
you can see how "green" mike is here. Eric is doing some serious wrestling here, and mike even in his early year is somehow fighting through it all.
Bisping is a legend.
Pre Venum- love it.
I love how disappointed the announcer is in saying Mario's name lol
Always liked Bisping. Can't believe he fought with one eye. That's a fighter
Bisping the king of mma fundamentals and the king of cardio
Sean strickland is the American Michael bisping
Legend.
BISPING LEGENDDDD
Why all these debut videos recently?
The Real BMF champ right there
That cage grab was a game changer
Oh wow!!! Very cool!! Baby Bisping! No disrespect, Sir. You were just a young’n here. 😁 Good match. 🤘👏👏👏
Bisping really deserved to be called former UFC Champion of the World now a days...
The levels of fighters in 2021 is crazy compared to back then
Feels like I just hopped in a time machine
Ba da boom, BadaBisping!! Look where he is today, congrats Mikey!
This is why cardio is so important
I used to train with Eric and his brother Nate around this time. It was so awkward, but Eric was cool about it. Eric still has a great training academy.
Eric Schafer has a gym in Milwaukee, WI. When I tell you he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met that's not an exaggeration.
Inspirational.
Not sure but this guy could be a UFC champion one day.
