I personally think this fight is rigged. I mean, Seth's hit rate is 100%, so my only guess is its scripted. I mean, it wouldn't be like that if there where something that happens if you DO kill Valter.

Is it possible to use either codebreaker or gameshark codes to give Seth a 100% perfect Critical Hit Percentage? I saw the Swordmaster/Shamshir tweak and it had 97%, but if giving a 100% critical were possible, it may be possible to kill him with max stats.
it happens the same in FE7,in lyn's story,when Sain attack the brigand with a lance in ch2(because "lances makes you look cooler" XD) i boosted directly his SKL with a code to 127 and he still missed.They are meant to miss.I believe these ignores fight data and proceed as it's programmed.When Erk (FE7)is as a green character,before he joins an enemy attacks him,once he made there a critical and the enemy remained ALIVE at ZERO HP XD. the next turn i attacked it, made no damage and it died XD
Idea: You know how a critical hit never misses? Try altering the stats so there is a 100 percent chance of critical. You can also try an assain's special attack (auto-kill) or a wyvern knight (thing) special (pierce ignores enemy defence and doesnt miss). If no I don't think there is a way.
Perhaps making Seth a Sniper and activating Sure Shot? Either we'll see Valter get killed, or Sure Shot miss, so we'll get something weird no matter what.
U liar. Demon King is immune to silencer. Not only is this well known online, but i had Marisa equipped with shamshir and full supports, there was a 68% critical chance, and i experimented with save states, attacking, going back, ending my turn w/o attacking, saving again, and every time she attacked the same thing happened: critical for 0 damage, demon king misses, critical for 0 damage. Demon king is immune to silencer.
Hmmmm... How about this: Make Valter able to use axes (if you can. If you can't then ignore this, or keep reading if you're curious) Give him a Devil Axe and make sure that its effect occurs. Max Valter's attack He should kill himself. 100+ DMG with the Devil Axe's effect AND Valter's sure hit,..... he's done for. XDDD
There are eleven, actually. They just aren't named Fire Emblem 1-11. For example this is actually Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, but it is commonly known as the fans by Fire Emblem 8. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for the Wii is also known as Fire Emblem 10. As for killing Valter, hack Seth so he IS Valter. This way, Valter dies. :D

There is a way,but cheaters can't do it,only hackers can.Cheaters use codes,that can't help against a crypted miss.BUt hackers just mess with the crypted numbers and ta daaa you hit...but i don't know how to hack :(( (just yet:D)
It looks like they programmed it to always miss, and not even take into account statistics. So no matter what you make his stats, it's always gonna miss. If there's a code like never miss, or always hit, or something like that, try that.
I have and idea use codebreaker and change seths portrait to valter and everything else so seth is basicly valter put -99 in all seth's stats and voila valter kills the other valter (seth) meaning valter dies. I might make a vid of it if i have the time.

valter probably has high evade stats (agility, general speed, evade stat itself) what u need is high attack speed (or something like that) p.s. i have never played FE but i am a good a Final Fantasy-type games
You will never be able to kill Valter. Simply because it is permanently encoded into the game that Seth will ALWAYS miss, no matter the hit and critical percentage. Even if hit and critical were 100% you would perform a normal attack and miss him. Every time. Disagree if you wish, but that's what I think.

have u tried grabbing a knife and stabbing the screen? i heard some pretty good things about this tactic. but u gotta admit that valter's one quick guy. He dodges demon arms and doesn't afraid of anything.
Well it looks like the game wont let you hit even with 100%. Im guessing that even if you used the sniper skill that prevents you from missing, you would still miss... or else it wont ever activate
This is probably really stupid advise, but try it on hard mode. Nothing is guaranteed on hard mode, like the crit Erika gets on the fighter in the prologue, that doesn't happen in hard mode
When Seth's HP hits 0, he apologizes to (insert leading lord name here) because he has to retreat because of his injuries. .............................Don't tell me that was a joke...
Save states don't do anything. Fire Emblem's hits/misses/crits are predetermined so if you got a crit and you repeat the same turn exactly the same, the same thing will happen.

Laguz was a new concept during Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. The closest thing to laguz are the dragons in this game (Myrrh) and in FE 6 (unavailable in U.S. :( ).
You can't fight Valter and win right then. If you wait 'till later in the game, you'll have your chance. Seriously, with your hacks, use them then and Valter will be pwned.
Try changing the script. The reason you're missing all the time is because Seth missing and Valter hitting is a scripted sequence. Change that, and it should work.
i do like you made seth chick twice. heres and idea- try hacking it to make a blank cartridge, go to japan make game again only make valter die there ^^
I dunno, I'd imagine it'd be the same as if Valter is killed as part of the story (with the death quote and the disappearing).. but it'd still be killing Valter.
umm you have to change da script=ya know the stroy line if you want him to kill him in da beggining its very easy if you have some kind of hacking software

I had a funny one in that prologue where I gave the enemy Forblaze and killed Eirika, the game didn't register Forblaze as a cause of death or (maybe didn't register Eirika as killed) so I passed the level and it kept starting my turn where Eirika was (ghost Eirika)

It was in the Phantom's inventory, so you lost the staff. I would restart that chapter if I were you, the warp staff is really usefull later.

I had a 1% crit chance when fighting him, since I used a killing edge, and got a silencer hit. I screamed for about 10 minutes

@SabinleRose Right but Valter is Pathetic, I beat him in one hit and had him at O% Accurancy when I fought him on Chapter 15.
The battle's scripted, there's no way to change the outcome without hacking knowledge like being able to hex edit the script.
OK snipers only work from longrange and Valter initiates a close-range attack. There is no bow that can be used in close-combat.
