Wow. That shawl is gorgeous. I’ve used Hobbii Horizon It’s 100% acrylic. I loved it. I did have a couple of joins in each cake but not so many that I was upset by it. I do like the Hobbii yarn that I’ve used. I would try it again. Good luck with your makes they’re always beautiful.
Very beautiful shawl. I've never used the Twister yarn but yes that would be really annoying for me to have all those joins. Thanks for the review Judy.
That's gorgeous, I love it!!! And the colors look beautiful. I need to look at that shawl for the Fall when it's cooler here. Thanks for the review. Prayers, love and hugs my very dear friend 🙏🧡🤗
I love the Twister yarn. If I could afford it, I’d work with it exclusively, lol. Fortunately they have frequent sales which usually brings them down to $20/skein. Considering how many yards you get, that’s a good price. Just got an order of their limited Halloween colorways. I had a pattern picked out, but of course I can’t remember it now. 😂
I absolutely love your shawl, Judy! Awesome that you love the Twister cakes! I've never had a factory join on a Twister cake.... if you mean that all of the strands of yarn were knotted together at the break. However, to create this yarn they knot 1 strand to the new colour to create a tiny knot with just 1 strand of the 4 strands at a time. This they do about 5 or more times throughout the cake to create the colour gradients. I just sew those tiny ends in once I've washed & blocked the shawl. I really must crochet that pattern. It's been saved in my faves on Ravelry for a while! I don't know how I missed this vid for a couple of days! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Hi judy! Pretty sure it's standard for twister to have that many factory joins. I believe it's because of how only one strand or ply changes at a time. It is how they achieve that beautiful gradient.

A beautiful crochet shawl Judy! What a show-stopper!
That is gorgeous Judy. And yes the they have a few more then "normal" factory joins because of the way the color changes. HUGS
It's beautiful! I have never purchased that yarn and I also frown on more than two joins/knots in one ball of yarn.
I love those blue tones, take care
