@@Mustang85635 You will be surprised there are people sponsored with a salary of 55000. Remember, the previous TSMIT is 53900 and hospitality is a very low pay industry. A lot of employees receive 55,000 in exchange of a promise for sponsorship after two/three years. Begging twice for sponsorship (one for 482 and then 186) is never fun.
Another wrinkle for 476 visa holders wanting to study a master or PhD course in Australia afterwards, they will not be eligible for 485 visa as a primary applicant if they ever held 476 as primary applicant. So yeah, I really dont see much benefit of 476 other than was designed by whoever in power at the time to address certain skill shortages, but left in the wayside, forgotten until 22 Dec 2023. At least one good thing out of this is DOHA will contact some affected applicants to refund VAC if their application is affected by cap and cannot be granted. IMMI account landing page also announces the effective closure of 476 visas for new applicants since new application would be finalised as “invalid”.

Hi I studied from february 2021 to 22 sept 2022 offshore with Australian visa and continue to study in Australia until 11 dec 2023. So I studied less than 16 months here. however, It said that "From 25 November 2023, online study requirements will go back to their pre-COVID state. However, online study undertaken during the COVID concession period (1 February 2020 to 25 November 2023) will continue to count towards the Australian Study Requirement". Does it mean the study offshore included in the 16 months? Am I eligible for the 485 visa?

You don’t have right for expedited visa processing. There is no justice for pending applicants because when you are an applicant you are at the mercy of the grantor which is the aus government. Wait your turn and quiet down

My 476 visa application is in the "Received" stage now. Is this stage also rejected from 22 dec 2023?.
