Yesterday I thrifted a pair of lower rise Gap flare jeans ( from 2006, they have dates on the inside tags) and I'm obsessed!!! I've been a high rise denim girl for the past many years but wow I'm loving this lower rise again. Feels right to bring them back.😎
It's not the scandalous low rise of that era though lol. I definitely want more pairs for the summer to go with button downs, my other obsession!

First of all what you said about your “fantasy self” resonated with me so much! I buys stuff all the time in that mindset that I shouldn’t.
Second of all I totally recommend putting everything you don’t want away for your daughters. Even the trendy stuff. They may love seeing stuff that used to be trendy or that their mama once wore back in the day. I’ve got heaps of clothes saved for my daughter. Most of it is timeless basics but I’ve def thrown some fun trendy stuff in there that I think she’ll just have fun playing dress up with or whatever
I’m not even a mom yet, but I have a curated collection of clothes for my future daughter 😅 I keep my most special pieces that don’t fit or are ‘out of style’ like my bootcut true religion jeans. I hope they appreciate it one day!

Starting Fresh🎉. I feel so much more motivated now to update my wardrobe after watching your video 🥲. I got married last year and 3 days after our wedding, my husband and I moved to Florida😮💨. Even though I decluttered a lot of clothes before moving, I still find myself not loving my wardrobe + about half of my clothes do not fit me anymore (happy weight 😂). I’m determined to clean out my closet even more, discover my style, find the items that I really love and get back into Thrifting like in my teenage years. Thank you Haley 💕

I am starting fresh…after a spinal fusion. I put on 15 pounds so I need to put some clothes away but now get rid of because I’ll be back down after I do PT. Thanks for the tips.

Starting fresh!! I I just did a big shoe declutter and it was emotionally taxing. I got rid of 15 pairs of heels because I had bunion surgery on both feet last year and the flexibility of my feet isn't what it used to be so the shoes that killed me anyway and are completely unwearable now. I can't torture myself anymore for the sake of fashion. I also tossed shoes that were always too tight or too flat footed with no cushion. I'm turning 38 this year and I am prioritizing comfort. 🎊🎊🙌

I stopped buying trendy things and thrifting about 80% of my wardrobe a few years back. I feel good not following trends and it’s reduced my need to declutter. Now I just declutter when things are over worn.

I have pregnancy clothing in storage for just in case. I have 2 boys. The youngest just turned a year old at the end of March, and my oldest will be 3 at the end of May. My husband and I are open to trying again later for a girl, just not while in an apartment; that we just moved to. Also, we're trying to get comfortable with the notion that a girl might not happen, so it's gonna be a while before we try again 😅. Something that helps me declutter is to separate the seasons. I have all seasons here in Washington State. Typically, more cold during fall, winter, and spring. But summer is just straight hot with temperatures that can hit 115 degrees. So I separate the seasons and ask myself, did I wear it this year (excluding pregnancy clothes), am I keeping this for when I'm back in shape, is it comfortable, and does it bring me joy? I have lots of color and show stopper pieces because to me, life is too short to wear boring clothes 😉 I'm very 'out there' as a person, so I don't mind showing that with my fashion choices. That being said, I do have my own style that I've called "business edgey" since I was quite young and it's adapted as I've gotten older to just " a simple edge." I call it "a simple edge" now because it's fairly simple with one show stopper piece, instead of say 3 😅 I love your style, it's very you. I think it's fun to express ourselves through fashion to feel a bit more us, and it's nice you have a hold on what you want out of fashion. For a lot of my friends, they just go for graphic t shirts all the time; which is fine for them. I honestly only have a few. Through the years, I've only kept my favorites; something I'd regret giving up.

l am bad about keeping things for the "what if" occasions, so instead of asking myself "could l wear this?" l ask "would l miss this in a month or when l'm imagining wearing it?"

I thought I was over Denim lol, sold them all. Then thrifted 3 pairs of Harley Davidson Jeans.
I think it’s also very hard to see trends when they are trends, maybe the whole ‘timeless capsule wardrobe’ is also a trend. Personally I just think its very hard to see when something is a trend 🧐
I know you don't mean it in a harmful way, but we really need to rethink the word modest
