Seems promising but... the prices are sooo high... going to be massive to 'get them all'. Main thing I like is that it sounds like we are getting actual classrooms/common rooms in the castle again! Something the previous line had a lack off, because that all came into separate sets...
That's why I'm satisfied with just the architect-like Hogwarts Castle & Grounds set and augmenting it with selected sectional sets like the polyjuice scene in the girls' washroom one, Boathouse, Owlery, and FB: MCs. And if LEGO manages to deliver an epic Great Hall set, I'll definitely be getting that one as well.
If this castle system will have all 4 common rooms, more hallways, with statues and more classrooms, I will most definitely collect them all Only reason I've stuck to the 2018 sets, is because of how they nailed the exterior. But the insides in them are definitely what I feel should be improved. Which the modular system did, but it sacrificed the outside for it. So I'm hoping this one will focus on both. ESPECIALLY with the rumored price of the Great Hall.
Literally the only reason i havent collected the Modular system was cause of the exterior. The new great hall looks promising. But i really am curious to know whats next.
I really like the idea of having the kitchen added to the Great Hall, as it sits directly underneath it. This would also mean that the Great Hall is raised, giving it the option of having a stair on the outside leading to the Boat House. Also, the Hufflepuff common room is supposed to be next to close to the kitchen, so would fit perfectly, with the option of clicking it on. And the Slythering common room and Potions class room are also lower, near the dungeons, so would possibly combine to make a whole level/floor. I would love to see what they will do this time around. I just huilt the Boat Houde and it looks great. Next is Hagrid's Hut. As a collector I will jump right in to this new system.
6:40 Yessss, I’ve been thinking this for years too! It would be cool to have side builds of students’ boggart incarnations and what they turn into like Parvati’s snake to jack-in-the-box and Ron’s spider with rollerskates on, and of course a more readily-accessible version (apart from that hard-to-find Bricktober pack) of Boggart Snape.
as someone who collected Lego harry potter from 2001 to 2005 and a couple small sets in 2010, ive finally decided to start again with this new wave. I was tempted to collect the 2018- sets but for whatever reasons did not. hopefully this is a good time to start again with it being marketed as the most detailed Hogwarts
If there gonna have a Hufflepuff room (which is basically hinting to a Hufflepuff dorm), and there’s gonna be three random students, the only Hufflepuffs that I can think of that we hadn’t gotten yet is Zacharias Smith and (more likely) Ernie Macmillan
Oh that would be cool. A 2 in 1 set where it is the kitchens below. Modular than the second story is the great hall so the kitchens would almost be done in kind of like a dungeon style or even instead of it being modular. They could have it like how gringotts is with the open back and then have it be open on the side so you can look into the kitchens and place like little food, Lego stuff where all the tables and the great hall will be underneath. That would be really cool
As much as I don't need a 5th Hogwarts castle, I can't stop myself from wanting it. If they truly stand behind the "most detailed" Hogwarts castle and go all in, this thing could be amazing.
I’m excited but I hope they aren’t all as expensive as the great hall one. I want to see a more detailed philosophers stone rooms for the devils snare, key room, etc. I hope the troll body is a new piece! Buildable because the regular big fig body looks weird to me
I missed out on the other Hogwarts castle stuff, but recently I got a Hogwarts Express the small one for my Lego City. So I'm excited for this new great hall and wave of Harry Potter stuff. I might end up picking up the hagrid's Hut on the 20th
I have to give thumbs up for background music, it makes video so relaxing to watch. 😊 All that effort is noticeable, and that is why this is my favourite Lego channel. ❤
I think the green looks so bad. I bought replacement grey roofs to replace the green and combined everything together with the 18-20 wave. Best decision ever lol
I would love to see these sets have detailed underground sections with the Slytherin common room, the trapdoor and philosopher's stone, and the chamber of secrets. If they are connecting the boathouse to stairs, and from looking at the sillhouettes it does look like this is a possible direction they are going in.
I really need the next massive set is Malfoy Manor. With a dungeon, death eater meeting, and the Hermione “interrogation” scenes all incorporated. And the gate out front. I’d pay 3/400 for that easily.
The new system sounds promising, but with the way Lego prices are, it could make collecting them a daunting challenge and a massive expenditure to so if someone wants to do so. Won't be me as I don't have the space and won't be willing to spend the money to do it.
i think ive said on another video of yours that my favourite hogwarts line is the 2018-2020(?) sets. not only because thats when i started 'lego-ing' again (my first set was the great hall set) but i like the look of them over older sets, or those that followed, i think these new ones will, hopefully, work really well with them,
I really enjoyed the 2021 green roof Hogwarts, and the Polyjuice Potion Mistake + Fluffy Encounter + Chamber of Secrets build will stay on my shelf a while. But I missed out on the 2018 Hogwarts, so I look forward to collecting this new style. I only dread that I will have to pay $600+ for a recognisable Hogwarts.
Supposing a 3 year plan for this new Hogwarts, I can see LEGO having one big castle section and a swappable set each year (Grand Staircase Tower and quad entrance set with rocky exterior underground the next year and the Viaduct Entrance plus Astronomy Tower set with rocky exterior underground in two years). The fact that any new section need to be raised from the ground will make any of this set expensive. Plus a swappable castle set not necessary to complete the final scene (imho, in the end, that Potions Classroom or the corresponding swappable section will not be part of the layout). But I imagine that this, counting as two sets, would reduce slot for other sets. Diagon Alley could continue, I think, considering there's enough well know location like Flourish & Blotts with Lockhart or Borgin and Burkes with Lucius Malfoy. Not considering remakes, even Hogsmeade has something left (Hog's Head). And Quidditch pitch could probably return. From the last movies, Lovegood House it would be interesting as well as scene with the tent from Deathly Hallows.
In general, as a long time collector, I prefer new charachters/locations/scenes over pure remakes, but I understand and accept the new collectors would like to have their Great Hall/Hogwarts Express/Hagrid's Hut/Ford Anglia... (Hagrid Hut is a win win solution in this sense: new collector have their hut, and I have a different hut, with different scene and different characters 😉).
I really wish they would slow down so my wallet can catch up. The boat house does look pretty epic next to the older great hall. I am curious Since the owlery is snow if the rest will be snow/winter themed too.
I’m looking forward to seeing what the new set has to offer! I’m also wondering if I should keep my green roof set or sell it and replace with the new one… Thanks for being my favorite place for Harry Potter lego content! ⭐️💕
I personally sold the green roof ones, besides a few favourites. And if you do keep any, you could always swap out the roof colour to make them match a bit better!! And thank you so much 🩷
As a Lego Star Wars fan, I'm no stranger when it comes to rising prices on sets. That said, I do hope the scale matches the rumored prices for the new waves. However, this could lead to an issue with storage/display space. I'm also a bit concerned with the Harry Potter theme continuously redoing the same sets (building Hogwarts) again and again. For new experimental sets, I'd like to see things like the Quidditch World Cup stadium in some form or other locations of the HP world. Maybe Malfoy Manor or the Ministry that could open up to reveal the different divisions, etc.
i'm a little glad that the castle system is completely reset this year because i've collected all of the last two systems and i'm gonna give that up to wok on collecting these diagon alley sets
I’m also lucky enough to have artifacts from the real films, and they take up space, probably more importantly so! 😊 My kids say I should open my place up and charge admission, mini Warner Bros studio! 😂
I kinda hope they do what they did with Star Wars with the Millennium Falcon and release 2 versions of the great hall: a smaller one and a "miniature scale". That way they can have one at a cheaper price point and an ultimate one for collectors
I’m so excited to see the rest of the diagon alley sets, I can definitely see myself purchasing them all over time as they release where as I still haven’t bought the big diagon alley set after investing so much throughout the last six years.
I’ll never have space for these Hogwarts playsets. That’s why I’m excited about having 2023’s Hogwarts Castle & Grounds set. It’s the one Hogwarts I actually have room for.
Ooo yes I’d love a proper library!! With all the printed textbook tiles they’ve done they could reuse them inside and have different printed or stickered books to make it interactive alongside built ones
Yes! And then as far as new buildings or areas of the castle we have to get the Bell Tower and then full greenhouses, the grand staircase, and the corridor with the suite of armor statues.
I stopped collecting HP in 2021, after I bought all of the castle sets from that wave. I got tired of the rereleases of the castle parts I already had. I now mainly collect Star Wars. I was really mad when they changed to the 2021 system, because I loved the 2018 system. I have all of those castle sets. I even bought the 2020 Diagon Alley, and it’s the largest and most expensive set I own. The other most expensive sets I have are the Gunship and AT-TE which are both $140. This new system seems, interesting, but I’m pretty content with the LEGO HP that I have.
Well I’ve got a pretty massive HP collection (I’m 59 and goes back to my now two 20 year olds and we’re still fans). But how many rebuilds are there going to be? I’ve run out of space for one thing! I think I’m going to be very selective with HP from now on and I love things like the kingfisher, wish they did more things like that!
Depending on how the great hall is and if they are combinable, I'm either going to sell or cannibalize the older sets for mocs to fit in with it. But they really need to stick with a system
kind of sad that the new Great Hall set is going to be Philosopher's Stone focused as the last two we've had were from the first two books and I'd love some older versions of some of the fringe students we get in big sets like this as well as a different selection of teachers. Having said that, everything else about it sounds amazing, I'll definitely be raiding the interior for my MOC
The Quidditch Stadium should be a UCS version for display. As for the rest, I would really prefer if they ditched the play sets entirely and focused more on display sets. All the classrooms, for example, should be a line of dioramas. I have no interest in this new system with the ugly grey roofs and I do NOT believe it will be "the most detailed yet" if the Great Hall rumours pan out. For it to be "detailed", it would have to focus only on the Hall and it seems they'll be trying to jam other things in. So I'm sticking to buying the entire wave but not keeping the sets assembled and using the pieces for my own MOCs.
really want them to include harry's patrons and remake the quidditch set. I also want a small scale horntail as I missed out on it but I doubt they will do that one again
I could see this being the beginning of the end for lego Harry Potter. I’ve also found the changing systems very annoying so I may just go back and get the 2010 main hogwarts building and call it good
I think it may have the same vibe as the Super Mario sets, except on a much bigger/ pricier scale. The $250+ Great Hall is the “starter pack,” and then everything else will be smaller and attachable
That’s some good thinking, with a set like the great hall too it’s something so well known that they could make it have a 4 year shelf life if they wanted
I'm kinda torn on this. Part of me is happy I didn't go for microscale Hogwarts as builds with tons of small parts are annoying. Besides, getting multiple sets over time adds this exciting element of theorycrafting, watching reviews and getting hyped with you. Not to mention spreading out the costs is surely more feasible than buying a single $500 set. But on the other hand, what I appreciate in a playset is that feel of an elaborate contraption - for example, I recently treated myself to Eldorado Fortress and it comes with all sorts of trap doors, rotating cannons, cell escape mechanism etc. The only March Harry Potter sets I'm getting that vibe with is Hagrid's Hut and of course the Sorting Hat - which kind of makes sense because these are more expensive sets. But Boathouse and the Owlery in comparison are cramped, boring and overall a poor first impression for the modular system. Let's hope the Great Hall will turn out great in all meanings of the word. Keep us posted for freshest leaks, Holly! P.S. Would love you to use more iconic music from other HP games, ex. Happy Hogwarts or the ambient theme from Chamber of Secrets.
They should make a battle pack type set with like two Death Eaters, Deathly Hallows Part 2 Ron, and a fourth figure. To represent the Battle of Hogwarts.
I'm quite rxcited by this. I didn't collect any castle systens in the past, big w's prices were also so good on the weekend it was hard not to buy hagrids hut!
I also already thought about your suspicion that the Great Hall set will come without the Staircase Tower: The rumoured price is just too low to include both buildings which are more detailed plus the mentioned level beyond it with only twice the budget of the 2018 set. I'm not really sure how to feel about that, because the Great Hall on its own has no iconic silhouette. I guess a lot of buyers will wait for the Staircase Tower to be released before buying any of the two. That's what I will do at least.
With a high price point too, it would make having a seperate tower a harder pill to swallow. I’m excited but I also know it could mean spending $400+ JUST for a complete section
Probably. But the TV show is unlikely to arrive before 2026. However, the TV show will very VERY likely reuse the film sets because that's what's already built in the parks. Warner is unlikely to want that sort of continuity problem with the parks. Specially 'cause the series CAN flop and if it does, at least they spared the costs of needing new sets.
@@___David__ i can see that but i can also see them wanting to be more specific robes alone would make a huge difference to the figures so they would need to have a platform for all the new versions, heck what if the new hogwarts isnt sandstone?
Absolutely! I filmed one but those photos source is sketchy and with lego striking channels I want to hold off until they're more widley shared and safe to show. I'll also do a live stream discussing things once all the sets are revealed/leaked
I got rid of half of it and kept a couple of my favourites. I still have the Room of Requirement, Battle For Hogwarts, Polyjuice Bathroom and Chamber of secrets but I think that’s all
I wasn't thrilled at all with the last Harry Potter castle system. This time around though, I am excited. I can't wait to see what the end result will be. I'm planning on buying all the sets and then wait until the wave is completed before building.
I was feeling the exact same way! Although with that build method too, you’ll be able to take full advantage of discounts, double points and promos so you’ll be able to maximise everything and have on heck of a time building once it’s time
I’m kinda done with the Harry Potter theme at this point. I’ll get the Durmstrang ship because I don’t have one yet but other than that I feel like all of the bases have been covered when it comes to things you can make sets out of.
As much as anticipation continues to grow for the upcoming Hogwarts Castle system, I'm afraid it's going to only be a two-year wave,(2024-2025), simply serving as a minifigure scale version of the 2018 microscale version. The timing would seem to fit given the release of the Harry Potter TV show in 2026, if that does in fact affect the direction of the Lego Harry Potter theme going forward. Also, despite the fact Lego describes the new version as, "the most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts Castle scene ever", it describes it merely as a "scene'', not Hogwarts Castle as a whole
If they do any TV show stuff, my guess it will be either a couple of sets or a small wave kinda like how Star Wars incorporates the Disney Plus shows. I think switching the whole thing over would be too risky since it could be like Rings Of Power where it didn’t land well, but also I don’t think they could ever stop the original simply because of how many people grew up with it
Well said, thanks for the insight. I didn’t fully consider those points but I think you’re right. Hopefully this upcoming wave of Hogwarts accomplishes what previous versions have failed to do in years past🤞.
The most relevant point to me is the use of stickers... A licenced set is in my opinion worthless, if central elements crumble after a few years. My "Kwik-E-Market" was just an "E" after 4 years... If I hadn´t fixed the model with custom printing I could have taken one of my favourite sets of all time apart, because it just looked stupid. Sadly no 3rd party customiser seems to be able to print cone elements, so I could not fix it 100%. I just buy display models now, if there is an option to keep them intact. I also did not find anyone, who offers silver or gold printing, if I do not order hundreds of copies... Skipped the Harry Potter sets because of stuff like the mirror in the first great hall set done with a sticker. If they did it like in the Detectives office modular building, I´d probably have started collecting the line. Next chance, Lego^^´
The Harry Potter tv series will arrive in 2026. I'm pretty sure Lego will come out with corresponding sets in that year. So likely from 2024 to 2026 for the current system. So 3 years only.
I think harry potter could produce less sets but make them better than trying to produce more sets at a worse quality. might help as it isnt the most popular thing out there right now. I generally think this with lego but They keep coming out with cool sets.
As someone who owns every hogwarts set that released between 2018 and today (except for the boathouse but I'll get that one soon) I'm kinda annoyed that they have to reboot it again. Give us something new Lego! Modular hogsmeade or something
I'll be passing on these. Not because I don't like them, but I need all of the money I can with Barad Dur coming in June. Sorry, but LotR takes precedence over everything! :)
Touce Harry Potter is fantastic but because it's more childlike it gets why more love from lego Lord of the rings increase has been neglected for too long
Idk every time they revamp the line the sets seem smaller and have less and the price goes up I’m optimistic about the new castle but the Hagrids hut looked very minimal.
I love the hogwarts system of 2018 to 2020 they where so fun the combine together and I look forward to know what will come in the summer of 2024 for Harry Potter
First off, cute accent. 😉 Second, I got the big castle with over 6,000 pieces mostly cuz it was getting discontinued. Idk if I could keep up with all the smaller castle sets knowing some of them are also being discontinued
I get that. I felt the same way last year cause it just felt bland to me. Most of this wave have luckily been the opposite but there’s still half that I’m not impressed by
@@HollyOnFilm Could they also be oversaturating the market with HP lego? I was good back in 2018 when I didn't have any except the old Sorting Hat set I got in trade. But now there are so many sets, including two whole minifigure series! Not to mention the prices of it all.
maybe this band hp lego must stop it after 2 years make same set new creaton only.. remastering sets 20 year old ok bud not remaster set after reittering or 2-3 years only money spending.. for me collecting its bad make more same sets..

I have almost every hogwarts section from the 2018-2020 line, and it’s definitely the best. After they switched to the green I was devastated

I just started collecting the Harry Potter sets last year. I’ve almost finished the green set and now they drop this?? I regret everything 😅
LEGO Harry Potter mechs when? I want a Voldemort mech so much.
(My lawyer has advised me to let everyone know this was sarcasm)
Your lawyer is very wise
Almost told Santa to put you on the naughty list
I’ve been putting off building some for months, but I’ll do a MOC of them eventually for funsies
@@HollyOnFilm Alright that would be hilarious. I can't wait for that.
@@HollyOnFilm exactly, I think it’s unlikely they would churn out a Great Hall at such a an epic scale to only sell it for 2 years
I’m excited for the rumoured great hall!
I kind of wish they would make the wooden bridge too 😅
I'm kinda torn on this.
Day 468 waiting for Lego to make a cheap set with Adult Ron in it ☠️
I don’t think they’ll ever do that. What set would he be in?
They should make a battle pack type set with like two Death Eaters, Deathly Hallows Part 2 Ron, and a fourth figure. To represent the Battle of Hogwarts.
@@hunterwolff-schollmeyer3902 that sounds brilliant
@@OpticBlast-yk5hf How come I have Harry, Hermione, Luna, Choe, Draco and Dolores? all before I could buy a Ron.
@@EduardoMartinez-rs3bu I thought you meant adult Ron from the very end of Deathly Hallows when he’s married with kids. I think I misunderstood you.
I'm quite rxcited by this. I didn't collect any castle systens in the past, big w's prices were also so good on the weekend it was hard not to buy hagrids hut!
SUCH GOOD DEALS!! I was so jealous. Hope you enjoy building
I like the Harry Potter Lego series. This review video is very good
I also already thought about your suspicion that the Great Hall set will come without the Staircase Tower: The rumoured price is just too low to include both buildings which are more detailed plus the mentioned level beyond it with only twice the budget of the 2018 set.
I’m excited but I also know it could mean spending $400+ JUST for a complete section
the problem i have is the new tv show will be coming out 2025 and i can see them starting again just for that
Hi Holly, I hoped for a reaction video from you for the June Wave... will we get one?
Absolutely! I filmed one but those photos source is sketchy and with lego striking channels I want to hold off until they're more widley shared and safe to show. I'll also do a live stream discussing things once all the sets are revealed/leaked
Im definately gonna get that boathouse
Such a cute build, and so shelf friendly too cause of its footprint
Is it a scar from a cold saw?
I’m so excited for a detailed set
are you going to get rid of the green roof castle set ( I cant remember if you borrowed it or already got rid of it?)
Although with that build method too, you’ll be able to take full advantage of discounts, double points and promos so you’ll be able to maximise everything and have on heck of a time building once it’s time
Hay yeah. Holly 😊. Xx ❤..have you lovley week.
It looks like you’ve maybe had a scab there and picked it a little too much and it’s made a scar?
I think harry potter could produce less sets but make them better than trying to produce more sets at a worse quality. might help as it isnt the most popular thing out there right now. I generally think this with lego but They keep coming out with cool sets.
When is comming out? Which month? Thanks
The next batch of sets will be out on June 1st!
Loved the Hogwarts legacy music in the background too
I don't no if it will continue forever and ever I could be wrong
As someone who owns every hogwarts set that released between 2018 and today (except for the boathouse but I'll get that one soon) I'm kinda annoyed that they have to reboot it again. Give us something new Lego! Modular hogsmeade or something
Hogsmede has to have a remake at some point right? Right??? I hope (Zonko’s I’m looking at you)
@@HollyOnFilm I mean with Hogwarts Legacy there is enough material for a modular Hogsmeade. Zonkos and the Hogshead are overdue by now
I'll be passing on these. Not because I don't like them, but I need all of the money I can with Barad Dur coming in June. Sorry, but LotR takes precedence over everything! :)
Touce Harry Potter is fantastic but because it's more childlike it gets why more love from lego Lord of the rings increase has been neglected for too long
I hope Lego does your wish list
Hopefully we get all the classrooms and common rooms and a full size quidditch pitch
lol thought i had hogwarts legacy open in that background
Idk every time they revamp the line the sets seem smaller and have less and the price goes up I’m optimistic about the new castle but the Hagrids hut looked very minimal.
Hengidya 😂
I love the hogwarts system of 2018 to 2020 they where so fun the combine together and I look forward to know what will come in the summer of 2024 for Harry Potter
i'm holding out for Naginimech vs Owltron! ( tiny owl mechs that combine into a larger one) :-)
First off, cute accent. 😉 Second, I got the big castle with over 6,000 pieces mostly cuz it was getting discontinued. Idk if I could keep up with all the smaller castle sets knowing some of them are also being discontinued
I don’t know, I’ve lost some interest in Harry Potter Lego. I can’t pinpoint why.
What is wrong with your lip? Not even trying to throw shade? I’m generally interested?
Was you born with your lips slightly discoloured in places
Mean and theme do not rhyme
First
1st of all, no you aren’t. Second of all, can people not come up with the actual comments anymore?
@TnoyKaraxis exactly
@@TnoyKaraxisI find that the people who make these kinds of comments are usually children
maybe this band hp lego must stop it after 2 years make same set new creaton only.. remastering sets 20 year old ok bud not remaster set after reittering or 2-3 years only money spending.. for me collecting its bad make more same sets..
I’m not familiar with “legoar”. Is this a new knock-off?
