Just love the videos brotha. Amazing skills working the metal. Been a while since I’ve done any fabrication, and this is inspiring me to get back to it. Keep up the great work.
When you score and bend plate, rather than cutting and welding, do you go back over the score with a bead? Is the steel plenty strong after it's scored and bent? The best thing that could happen is that you get a camera with a tripod. :)
thanks! I use a Lincoln 180 or Lincoln 220 ac "cracker jack" box in most all of them. a miller 252 every now and then..a lot of the older videos are gasless fluxcore (self-shielded), I've been running mostly hard wire lately tho, .035 and .030
When you do a job for someone (How do you price your jobs ) Labour Materials do you charge by the HOUR im trying to figure out how much to charge for my welding projects without taken a beating if you know what I mean ???
some stuff is hard to price..I don't really charge by the hour cause with my job I have to get stuff done when I can, I add up materials and then figure out what I should do after that..you really have to get materials as cheap as you can and figure the easiest way for you build things
I started a grill and was really hopping on seeing the way you put the angle for the racks. I'm sure one of your videos has one. Thanks for all your ideas.
I've heard mixed things about a square horizontal flow. I think Lang from Lang Smokers said the moisture/creosote rolls off the top better from a circular and doesnt drip on the food. Is this also achieved from the octagon? Seems like less flat surface area directly above in the octagon. Any advice appreciated! Cheers.
Allen can I be your neighbor? I promise I’ll not eat those chickens , 😜 Hello from Puerto Rico I’m sharing your videos to my friends let’s see if we can put one like this together Thanks for your awesome ideas.

Just subscribed and very impressed on all your work. Quick questions, what welder are you using? and are you using Fluxcore or hard wire?
thanks! I use a Lincoln 180 or Lincoln 220 ac "cracker jack" box in most all of them. a miller 252 every now and then..a lot of the older videos are gasless fluxcore (self-shielded), I've been running mostly hard wire lately tho, .035 and .030
Hey bud love your videos been following you for q year or so now. What thickness of steel do you use is it hot rolled 1/8 or 3/16?
looks great, how you get your measurements.
I know rough measurements of some octagons and I just went from there, the panels on main chamber are 30"/7.5", makes it about 18" across
@@Allensweldingwoodworking ice been thinking about making one similar to this doing panel's 12" x 47" thoughts?
Wow! Awesome!
Good job

Inspiring build, the BBQ is great but working on your own with the heavy metal, just awesome.
