I just came to comment on this same thing. I remember this style being very popular in a wide variety of fabrics and clothing items. I had a pair of shorts that wrapped around like that and a top that I wore with high waisted short shorts
Ditto. Wore a spaghetti strap leotard on top and danced the night away in all burgundy. But it was really difficult when you needed to use the restroom!
@@cheryllapham6279feeling thankful for when they put snaps on bodysuits so we can get the same look without having to get naked in the bathroom anymore
Omg the colour is still there. Perfect condition. Yes, it’s danceskin. I remember them. With fine soft wool wrap tie sweaters. Not a button or zipper in sight
Showing my age... When I saw that skirt, I instantly thought of Cassie in "A Chorus Line". Her classic costume is a long-sleeved red leotard and matching wrap skirt. Though, hers shows a lot of leg.
I had a dusky lavender danskin wrap skirt and spaghetti strap top that I wore to discos back in the 70’s. Such a sweet outfit. It had a lovely shimmer.
that top is SOO incredible with that wrap skirt!!!! goals honestly. it’s so pretty and it highlights your waist and collarbones soo nicely. you look so incredibly graceful and gorgeous!! i imagine it’s quite comfy too!!
That's a lovely skirt. So flowy and a beautiful silhouette. Not to mention the color! I can only wear 'cool', pinkish reds with my coloring and clothes in that color are so rare 🫤
My dad shot their catalog when I was a little girl. I got to have one of those skirts and leotards as a gift. I was a disco queen at 5 danced with it at a Halloween party to Micheal Jackson. It was that exact color too
I had one just like that when I was 6 for ballet and tap but it was dark navy blue and above my knees and it was 2013 we would wear it while dancing for style and have a cute cardigan that went with it
We also wore them to discos and parties. It was so flowy and moved so pretty.

Mine was navy blue and danced to Donna Summers!

I’m about to start my next dance season and now I want that for when I’m running up and down the halls to each class
So pretty!
Man they need to make that skirt again! I’d love to have one just like it.
It's a fairly easy design to sew.
@@OofusTwillipI was just about to ask if anyone knew where i could find a pattern for both the pieces in this 😅
there's a couple athleisure brands that make a wrap skirt
You should write Walmart and tell them.😂
It'd be a snap to put together💃🏽
For everyone wondering about the top, it is from the brand Halara. 😊
A true ally 🙏
Thank you bestie
THANKS YOU SO MUCH
Every dancer (even short chunky ones like me) had that skirt in the 80s.
i❤wrap skirts & hope they come back! easy, pretty, flowery, awesome patterns
Danskin is one word. The caption writer broke it into 2 names! We loved danskin. Only specialty shops carried it.

I got basically the exact same skirt in purple from my grandmother some years ago. Now I know what it’s for!
Showing my age... When I saw that skirt, I instantly thought of Cassie in "A Chorus Line". Her classic costume is a long-sleeved red leotard and matching wrap skirt. Though, hers shows a lot of leg.

I have Danskin Sneakers & a lite hoodie jacket & a long sleeve shirt. LOVE DANSKIN...So Comdortable & fits SO Well!
I had this skirt in navy blue. Under it I wore the most sensational half slip: red background with multiple frilled tulips all over.
They were a hit in disco clubs.
Omg I would so wear that!
I had that skirt. It was really beautiful. I wore it with white button down men's shirt.
Ok but both the skirt and top are actually so cute 😍

I want one just because it looks so convenient.
