Layla is definitely not ready to move as fast as Jordan wants to. She started to panic and gave him some bullshit reason for why she won’t move in with him now. This seems to be how it works in their relationship. Jordan wanted a romantic relationship with her but she was not ready. Then she wanted to keep the relationship a secret. Later he asked her to marry him way before she even thought about it. It does not mean that she doesn’t love him, but he might spook her away.

And why wasn't Layla enough to keep mom here? Dad leaving all the time. House broken into, this knee grow didn't even see fit to bring his ahh home! Ash cheated with her best friend, SPENCE told her best friend he loved and wanted to be with her. Carrie tried to take her to the king. Clay(him and Vanessa were the only two on the show I actually could. Not. Stomach! His grown but, talking about how young Layla was. He wasn't saying all that when he was knocking her walls down! And those wigs they put on him like why? His ego was that hurt cause Layla was like it was nice while it lasted✌🏾 they didn't even know each other that...ok, ok, I'm getting of track. I think Layla is still unsure, insecure, untrusting. That doesn't just go away. I mean Jordan was so in love with Simone, he was going to marry her TWICE! Sometimes you can't help to think about things like that. Layla just needs more coaxing...reassurance and time from Jordan. She always gives in... especially when he says please😌 she'll come around.

Jordan’s father did die that can tear apart any relationship dealing with grief like that Layla and Jordan have been engaged for about a year now so it’s not that Layla isn’t ready to marry Jordan. I do feel she is holding back on something internally deeper though… Layla is dealing with a mental health setback for sure.
@@Daf029Yes I know that I’m saying grief can tear relationships apart and it didn’t manage to do that with Jordan and Layla as that in itself was a test.. they overcame that. This is another test they are going through so it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

Layla just contradicted herself. Because she said she ALWAYS wanted to wait until she was married to live with someone. But when Jordan stated she never mentioned that before, she suddenly states she only realized she wanted that RECENTLY. So if you recently realized that Layla that means you did not ALWAYS wanted to wait until you was married. 🙄
His eyes were completely on Layla the entire time she sat on that couch and as soon as she locked eyes with him he wants her to move in with him. It’s so sweet to see Jordan mature and grown in his love for Layla and he feels that what he’s giving isn’t being reciprocated from the people in his life ie his sister, football, Spencer etc… Layla is who this man wants to settle down with and marry and he has been doing everything on her timing .. Layla may need therapy to get to the root of the problem before she marries Jordan.
I love your take on this. I didn't even think of that which is funny cause that's what I say about myself. Too set in my ways. Too use to doing things myself. Not wanting to compromise...I was thinking more along the lines she still insecure about her worth and why people in her life never stays mom, dad, ash(who cheated first with her best friend, Spence. Again with the best friend. Even Liv to some point. Carrie, clay(can't stand that dude!🙄) everyone leaves or let's her down. She just needs more reassurance.
It’s unfortunate because Layla has a very bad past and even though Jordan is a giant green flag, Layla needs/wants to take her time. She might seem stubborn or uncompromising, but it’s her defense mechanism. Out of all the characters on the show, I think she has had the most damage done to her from people she’s trusted and loved. That all being said, there’s nothing wrong with her reason not to move in, but when one states two different reasons, saying at first the house was too crowded, then here she’s stating never even having the intention of moving in till marriage, it just sounds like excuses to Jordan. Poor Jordan loves with all of his heart and gives all of himself to all of his relationships often moving too fast, giving off this rushed energy. This could for sure create conflict or an argument in the near future hopefully when it does happen they will both have a mature understanding about how to navigate their lives together moving forward and seeking therapy.
It was so OOC for Layla to be talking about how liv is dealing with Billy’s death after being there for Jordan like girl what are these writers doing 🙄
Tbh it could be the same way Jordan was with Layla while he was still with Simone. Layla just didn't know Ryan since childhood but he could be someone she confides in about her problems.
To be fair, how is Layla supposed to move in with Jordan and SPENCER, while she's playing mechanical bull in the room with Jordan, knowing Spencer is down the hall or whatever, and she was playing mechanical bull with him as well. Knowing she and Spencer had been together and waking up to see him everyday is a BIG difference!🤷🏾♀️

It is but this is also a test. No relationship is perfect and in my opinion they never had any real problems in their relationship until this season
