I played there many years ago. I remember the island green surrounded by oyster shells. One of the guys in the group hit a ball which landed among the oysters. When we reached the green we found that an oyster shell was embedded in the ball. Crazy and fun.
after almost 30 years and playing about 75 courses in the M.B. area , Oyster Bay is still my favorite . Not the most difficult , but one of the prettiest and one that I include every time that I'm in Myrtle Beach . If you think that you're an accomplished player , try # 16 from the back tees . #16 is one of the best holes on the Strand .
agree. i also like man-o-war. pine lakes. witch. grand dunes. crown park (i can pee anywhere i want). seatrail jones. marsh harbour was my favorite in 1990. I cried when it closed!
Oyster Bay is tough but really very beautiful and if you want to see alligators, play here in the summer. They are everywhere. One of the better courses in the area.
