They were always supposed to fix it. Sasha and marlene said so. But the show got canceled.... low views, same reason Ravenswood failed. Because they think it's okay to split up a favorite ship and that fans will still watch 🤷♀️ but maybe if we had watched they would have fixed it so its like.... idk
This just displayed how the Emison divorce doesn’t make any sense. They had 7 SEASONS of slow burn, to be out together in the last like 4/5 episodes! They love each other. Them divorcing is unrealistic considering how much they endured to be with each other. Emily trusted Alison, the past was in the past and visa verse. Emison will forever be endgame.
and something just broke inside... 😭💔 there is no way that Emily freaking Fields will let Alison Dilaurentis, her first love just go away that easily!!!

So I don’t know if this has been addressed before, but the library scene where Alison tells Emily that’s why she loves her because she’s big on happy endings, and that so was dickens and Pip and Estella end up together. Well I’ve read the book a few years back and I’ve only just thought about it, and how the book great expectations has two endings, and one was less hopeful, and the other was happier but still vague. In both endings Pip and Estella never ended up together.
so sad to see this video of them breaking up, but I will still hope for an unexpected things, PLL the perfectionists did not mentioned or we did not see that the divorce paper has been sent back to Emily for proper filing, so reality check, we can still hope for bringing them back together. I am hoping for it.

I watched the first episode of the spinoff & that was enough for me. Kind of a slap in the face to the faithful followers of their story who were with them all the way. There just is no Alison without Emily. Freeform how could you do this to us? Shame on you.

heartbreaking edit! but i still don't accept it as canon bc it's so obvious that marlene just broke them up bc she wanted an easy solution why emily wasn't in beacon hills (shay didn't want to be part of the spin-off). if you watch all 7 sasons of pll you know that ESPECIALLY emily would NEVER give up on ali so it makes no sense at all. and right now it looks like the perfectionist isn't going to get renewed so it's like that weird show ravenswood where caleb was supposed to be a supernatural creature but after it got cancelled no one accepted that as canon so...
